Table 1-10 shows total economic effects (total recreation expenditures plus net economic value) for 2011. For an individual, net economic value is that person's total willingness to pay for a particular recreation activity minus his or her actual expenditures for that activity. The figure for economic value is derived by multiplying net economic values for hunting, fishing, and non-consumptive recreation use (on a per-day basis) by estimated refuge visitor days for that activity. This figure is combined with the estimate of total expenditures to estimate total economic effects. A ratio comparing economic effects and the Refuge’s budget is unavailable because the Refuge is part of a Complex. Table 1-10.
