ΣΠΥΡΟΣ ΓΕΛΕΚΑΣ
Ο Σπύρος Γελέκας γεννήθηκε το 1979 στην Κέρκυρα, όπου διαμένει μέχρι σήμερα. Είναι καλλιτέχνης με ιδιαίτερη αγάπη για τα ρεύματα του σουρεαλισμού, του ρεαλισμού και της μοντέρνας τέχνης. Η πρώτη του επαφή με τα εικαστικά ξεκίνησε το 1987 δίπλα στο Σπύρο Αλαμάνο. To 2002 φιλοτέχνησε την αφίσα για τις ανάγκες του θεατρικού έργου «Ζητείται ψεύτης» του Δημήτρη Ψαθά στο πλαίσιο του φεστιβάλ «Μελίτεια 2002», όπου και συμμετείχε για πρώτη φορά σε ομαδική έκθεση ζωγραφικής. Την περίοδο 2002-2015 ασχολήθηκε με τη διακόσμηση και φιλοτέχνηση καταστημάτων και ιδιωτικών χώρων σε όλη την Ελλάδα. Το 2016 αποφάσισε να αφοσιωθεί στη ζωγραφική και παρουσίασε για πρώτη φορά στο Φουαγιέ του Δημοτικού Θεάτρου Κέρκυρας σειρά έργων του με τίτλο “Fantasy Landscapes”. Τα έργα του τράβηξαν το ενδιαφέρον και στο εξωτερικό και φιλοξενήθηκαν από περιοδικά τέχνης, social media και φεστιβάλ. Έργο του επιλέχθηκε από τον Οργανισμό Κερκυραϊκών Εκδηλώσεων (ΟΚΕ) για τις ανάγκες του ετήσιου Ημερολογίου του (2018). Επίσης στο κεντρικό κατάστημα των ΕΛΤΑ, στον κεντρικό προθάλαμο, εκτέθηκε έργο του με θέμα την Κέρκυρα, το οποίου ο καλλιτέχνης δημιούργησε σε μορφή γραμματόσημου για τις ανάγκες του χώρου. Η δουλειά του επιλέχθηκε ανάμεσα από 200 καλλιτέχνες σε όλο τον κόσμο και συμπεριλήφθηκε στο περιοδικό Global Art Freaks. Την ίδια χρονιά παρουσιάστηκαν έργα του δίπλα σε εκείνα του Σαλβαντόρ Νταλί και Πάμπλο Πικάσο, σε εκθέσεις με θέμα το σουρεαλισμό στην Κίνα. Αρχές του 2019 ο καλλιτέχνης θα εκθέσει μια μεγάλη γκάμα από τα έργα του υπέρ της στήριξης του «Χαμόγελου του Παιδιού» στην Κέρκυρα, κάτι που γίνεται για πρώτη φορά στο νησί μέσω της ζωγραφικής. Παράλληλα φιλοτέχνησε το εξώφυλλο από το επετειακό τεύχος του περιοδικού Corfu Stories που κυκλοφόρησε τον Γενάρη.
Τον Μάιο καλέστηκε να εκπροσωπήσει την Ελλάδα από το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού και το Υπουργείο Εξωτερικών του Μαυροβουνίου σε συνεργασία και συνεργασία με τη Γραμματεία της Πρωτοβουλίας Αδριατικής-Ιονίου. Στο πλαίσιο της προεδρίας του Μαυροβουνίου για την Πρωτοβουλία Αδριατικής-Ιονίου, που οργανώθηκε την περίοδο 29 Απριλίου - 8 Μαΐου στο Cetinje, με τη συμμετοχή ενός αντιπροσώπου από κάθε κράτος μέλος της περιοχής Αδριατικής-Ιονίου. Ο Σπύρος Γελέκας είναι μέλος της Κερκυραϊκής Πινακοθήκης και της Διεθνούς Ένωσης Ανταλλαγής Καλλιτεχνών (IAE), που εκπροσωπείται αποκλειστικά από την MO2art (micro-oxygenated art). Έργα του βρίσκονται στην Κερκυραϊκή Πινακοθήκη, στο μουσείο “Μαυρούδης”, στην i-club M02art και σε ιδιωτικές συλλογές γνωστών μουσικών, φωτογράφων, συλλεκτών, αθλητών και θεατρικών παραγωγών σε Ελλάδα, Ιταλία, Νορβηγία, Ολλανδία, Σουηδία, Ισπανία, Γερμανία, Μαυροβούνιο, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, Αμερική και Κίνα. SPIROS GELEKAS
Spiros Gelekas was born (1979) and raised in Corfu, where he lives until today. He is a professional artist, who studies and embraces the artistic movements of surrealism, realism and modern art. He first met painting in 1987, next to his teacher and artist Spiros Alamanos. In 2002 he created the poster of Dimitris Psathas' play "Liar wanted", which was presented during the "Meliteia 2002" festival in Corfu. During the same festival, he participated in a group painting exhibition for the first time in his career. In 2002-2015 he was evolved with the artistic decoration of shops and other places in many Greek cities. In 2016 he decided to dedicate himself in painting and he presented the exhibition "Fantasy Landscapes" at the Municipal Theater of Corfu. His artworks became very popular in Corfu but also abroad, through art magazines, social media and art festivals. The same year he became a member of the Corfu Art Gallery and the International Art Events organization, which is exclusively represented by MO2art (micro-oxygenated art). In 2018, one of his artworks was selected in order to be included in the annual calendar of Corfu Events Organization (OKE). The same year he was included in the Global Art Freaks magazine and in addition, his artworks were presented in various exhibitions in China, next to Salvador Dali's and Pablo Picasso’s paintings. In the very beginning of 2019 starts an art exhibition called “Art Creates Smiles” and with this, Spiros demonstrates that art can bring hope and smiles to those who need it. The artist will show a large variety of his recent work in support of the children’s charity “Smile of the Child”. Also Spiros became the first artist in Corfu Island who making a charity exhibition. In the same month he painted the front cover of Corfu local magazine, “Corfu Stories”, January issue. Spiros represented Greece in the framework of Montenegrin chairmanship over Adriatic-Ionian Initiative, International Art Colony which organized in the period 29th April – 8th May in Cetinje, with the participation of one representative of each member state of Adriatic-Ionian Region. The event has realized by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro in cooperation and partnership with the Secretariat of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.
At the same time he is working on the cover of the volume, “Influences of the Ancient Greek Secretariat on the Work of J.R.R. Tolkien” who concentrates for the first time on Greek academic studies on the effects of ancient Greek secretariat on the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. Since 2015 he has completed a large collection of works (700+) where they are housed in the Corfu Gallery, the Mavroudis Olive Museum (Corfu), i-clubM02art (China) and private collections of renowned musicians, photographers, collectors, athletes and theater productions in Greece, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Montenegro, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, America and Asia.
