D

uring October of last year, hundreds of photographers submitted their best photos of the Shelby Street Bridge, the AT&T “Batman” building, the Pinnacle building, LP Field, and the Cumberland River for Mayor Karl Dean’s “Nashville’s Sky Through My Eye” competition. “As our city has grown and changed, so has our

skyline,” Mayor Dean said in a press statement. “This competition gives citizens the opportunity to capture the beauty of downtown and how Nashville looks to them.” The winning photographs will be displayed in the historic Metro Courthouse and used in promotional material for Metro Government, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation. Winners also received $1,000 donated by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation. Second place winners received a $250 gift certificate for Dury’s.
