LCP Foreword Dear candidate, Thank you for daring to take such a different decision for greater impacts of yourself and other Mongolian youth. As a senior who already walked the LCP path, I have got something to share with you dear candidates. A year ago, I took my LCP role after being an AIESECer for 3 years. To think it now, this was the best decision I have ever made in my aiesec journey so far. This experience made me realize what AIESEC can impact, discipline and challenge individuals. To be frankly, I was under the nervous of how I will be leading the team of 5 Vice Presidents with more than 40 members in the LC . When this numbers come into your mind, it challenges you to act and think as a leader. I used to wake up with question of how my members are performing, how my LC is developing and what future will bring us. I have to be honest to say that LCP experience is super tough yet meaningful and memorable for your whole life. There will be many things you would never expect to happen to be our obstacles or stepping stones. Your mindset and positiveness is very important for being this role. Also be often reminded about STRONG passion and belief of WHY you are being HERE as LCP, as a leader of many other youth while you are supposed to be like other youth spending time on their recreation, jobs, friend and family, personal development courses, etc. Because you will need this value to keep you strong, keep you have the courage to stand again after falling down from all those challenges. One more thing, It is always worthwhile if you start things from scratch. It is alright, If you are scared, If you don’t dance, drink or make people laugh because, LCP role itself will make you totally different person. I wish you all the best! Roles and Responsibilities Long term directions & strategies • Facilitate the creation of Long-term strategies for the local committee and ensure the alignment of LC operation. • Ensure the long-term growth and financial sustainability of the LC. • Strive for strong leadership pipeline for members • Build and maintain relationship with other LCPs and MC team
Planning • Manage goal-setting and planning process for your LC term 1314 • Coordinate quarterly reviews and readjustment on the LCVPs plans • Support budgeting and financial decision-making
Accountability & Governance • Manage and maintain the formation and structure of BoA and external partners • Manage the LC’s relationship with and accountability to the BoA and external partners • Ensure each VP fulfills all the criteria to stay as a full member LC • Ensure financial transparency to external partners and to the network

Roles and Responsibilities EB Team Management • Select and form a complete EB team for 1314 • Build team culture and boost team identity • Manage team building and other team activities for stronger relationship among EB team • Build and implement tracking and performance assessment systems to monitor each EB member’s delivery of the plans • Motivate and keep everyone of the team on the track towards achieving desired goals • Support the learning and development of LC members, as well as providing strategic coaching for them, especially VPs
External Representations • Represent responsible LC to the national events of AIESEC Mongolia • Represent responsible LC to the national plenary and global plenary • Represent responsible LC to stakeholders such as Alumni, University, Parent’s members and other partners that are relevant • Represent responsible LC, AIESEC Mongolia , and Mongolia as a country, at a global level – at Local Committee President Conference

LCP Criteria LCP Criteria • LCP must attend 100% of national conferences in a term • LCPs must be physically present in Mongolia for at least 11 months of the 1-year term UNLESS they are participating in a CEED experience in an LC overseas; or attending AIESEC International Conferences or National AIESEC conferences of other entities. The 1 months of time agreed to be outside of the 11 months present in Mongolia cannot be consecutive (1 month at one time). • (Preferred) LCPs should be able to make time for international travel to at least one of the major international conferences: • APXLDS (in March, for 6 days); • International Congress (in August, for 12 days); • AP LCP Conference [Highly Recommended] (in December, for 5 days). **If you do not have the financial ability to attend, do not be scared. Your financial background should not affect your reason to apply for LCP or not.

Things to submit 1. CV (Curriculum Vitae) Provide all the important and relevant information we need to know about you, your AIESEC career, or any other experiences as well as your contact details etc. You can use a maximum of two (2) pages to create your CV.
2. Candidate’s Video Should include: Introduction about yourself Vision and Motivation for applying as LCP AIESEC NUM 14-15 & Brief strategy to show your suitability being LCP AIESEC NUM 14-15.
3. Letter of Recommendation 1 letter of recommendation from current/previous EB in your LC, or any of you team leader, or your MC team.

Video Questions 1. Character • Explain the one value that drives you and how this is reflected throughout your life. • What has been your biggest challenge (even your biggest failure) and what did you do to overcome or learn from it?
2. Personal Competence • Why are the skills and achievements you have the best for the Mongolian reality? • What do you think you biggest challenge will be as a LCP and what specific and tangible support will you require?
3. Personal Motivation • What was your biggest motivation to apply for the position? • How this has reflected throughout our life? • How will this specific role help your career? • What are your personal reasons for applying aside from those aforementioned? NOTE: Answer these questions when you shoot a video of yourself, max 5 mins upload it on youtube, and send us the video link with the application package.

(You may use SWOT analysis, Start-stop-continue, or any other analysis tool) 3. What is your vision for your LC 2014-2015? How do you see your LC after your term ends? (as of june 2015) 4. Provide the potential for collaboration between the LCs? 5. Which exchange programmes (iGIP, iGCDP, oGIP, oGCDP) would you like your LC to focus on in year 2014-2015? 6. Each candidate will take turns at the Election day. Election will be held in a hall, and candidates will be updated before the Election Day. Candidates, members and EB members will be participating the process.

Graphics will definitely help but болно шүү! shouldn’t be the only content. • No late submission will be accepted, no matter what the excuse might be. All applicants are highly advised to start completing the application as early as possible. Please do not wait until the very last minutes to send your application. • If you submit the application well before the deadline, in case certain documents are missing or certain points in your application are unclear, you’ll be notified and asked for clarification. • The purpose of this application is not meant to only assess the ability and suitability of each candidate for the position; it’s also meant as a tool to prepare each applicant for the role, through their intense thinking process and research efforts to live up to what is expected of this application. • The application form package is given in the .pdf format for a reason. It’s such that you won’t feel restricted (or tempted) by the format given. You can be as creative as you can be, in how you would like to present yourself, your vision, your ideas etc. through your application form.
