Unruh has gotten a job at The Icing bakery, and senior Kassy Housenfeld has had multiple job offers from bakeries as well. “My dad was a sous chef, so I wanted to get into the industry as well,” said Housenfeld. “My dream is to either open my own bakery or work for NASA. I could combine them and be the first baker on Mars!” Unruh said the Culinary program inspired her dream of opening her own bakery after college. “The Culinary Arts program is a great way to get into the industry. It opens up a lot of opportunities,” said Unruh, who went to the “Cook Senior Camille Unruh stands proudly by some culinary creations.

box One or PS4? Which one is more popular? Which has the better qualities and features? Both Microsoft and Sony have revealed their products within close proximity of each other this past year, with Sony revealing first. So far, many have said that Xbox One isn’t worth getting because of some of the “problematic” features added. For example, if someone wants to resell a game, he has to go through Microsoft’s website and get the game registered for sale. Another reason would be the price. The PS4 is $100 dollars cheaper for the basic function of any other console. Both companies are trying to make the consoles the central hub for all medias and forms of entertainment; like Facebook. However, the Xbox One does it better. The new Microsoft gaming platform, will be able to control every device in the living room. TV viewing is possible through the action of saying “Xbox, view TV.” Almost any TV service provider will work. With voice, you can switch between any application available with the Xbox One by simply saying the name of what you want. Sony, at the reveal, has said that they are focused on connecting separate devices. Also, that the world is constantly evolving to technology, so the had to make the PlayStation Which is the better 4 catch up with the changing electronics although console? Xbox One never mentioned any other device than the PS is focused on TV Vita. and sports while The hand-held gaming platform is supposedly PlayStation4 is excited completely compatible with the PS4. The player is about all of its new able to stop his game on the console, download it capabilities. by Joshua Guillemette to the Vita, and start playing on the go. The PS4 DuelShock controller has a dedicated share button. From here, the player can instantly share game play footage up to 10 seconds. However, the Xbox One can do the same without the dedication of a share button. Sony’s focus for their console was to make social interaction the best it could possibly could be. PlayStation Network, although will charge for a subcription, it is still cheaper than Xbox Live. However, the quality is still the same. Talking from to each other from another game, messaging and sharing screen shots and short clips. But as mentioned before, PlayStation users are able to live stream to the public or only to select friends. From there, if the player is having trouble with a level and gives up, that player can give total control to one of his friends watching to have them solve the puzzle for them. While the PS4’s network has improved, Xbox Live has not. It is still the same as that from Xbox 360. But what’s the point of buying a console if you don’t play the games? Almost none. At this point, it is too early to make a gaming console the central hub for all outlets of media and entertainment. People buy these gamine platforms for their playability, not to watch TV or update their fantasy football team; which the Xbox One is trying to do. Sony talked to all kinds of game developers to discuss what the developers want in a console and if they could do anything without limitations, what would they do? This unleashed much creativity for many possibilities of game play and game design. However, Xbox One offers the same performance capabilities as PS4. So, which is better? The better question is which is which console is worth buying. I believe it is the PlayStation 4 simply because it offers more gaming functionality. It also offers better features pertaining to its basic function, playing games. Let us know what you think by tweeting us @mvtheviewpoint!
