Pinacoteca Civica “Fortunato Duranti”

the Marche from 1470 abt, a small Passion of Christ by Pietro Perugino, the Madonna in Adoration of the Child referred to Jacopo Sellaio and a Lunette with Saint Lucy between Saints Anthony of Padua and Bernardino by Nicola Maestro Antonio from Ancona. Works from the 17th and 18th centuries of particular relevance are also exhibited in the Hall dedicated to the Genre of the Still Life, where we find paintings by Cristoforo Munari (Reggio Emilia, 1667 - Pisa, 1720), by Giovanni Paolo Castelli known as “Lo Spadino” (Rome, 1659 - 1730 ca.), by Maximilian Pfeiler (active in Rome in the early 18th century), and by Antonio Mercurio Amorosi (Comunanza, 1660 - 1738). Next to the valuable Collection of works by Corrado Giaquinto (Molfetta, 1703 - Naples, 1766), a painter originally from Molfetta of whom Fortunato Duranti collected as many as twelve paintings, and by Christopher Unterperger (Cavalese, 1732 Rome, 1798), artist of Tyrolese origin, mainly active in Rome, you can also find Paintings by Sebastiano Conca (Gaeta, 1680 -1764), by Pier Leone Ghezzi (1674 - 1755) and by Benedetto Luti (Florence, 1666 - 1724). The Art Gallery also has works of Sculptures and Applied Arts of the 1600s and 1700s, and a group of Paintings by Fortunato Duranti, or attributed to him, that highlight the extreme resourcefulness of the artist, denoting a careful study of the Old Masters such as Raffaello, Correggio, Veronese, but also of dignitaries closer to him, such as Corrado Giaquinto. Of the extensive Graphic Production, to which Fortunato Duranti devoted a whole period of his activity, about ninety drawings are kept in the museum and exhibited in rotation in the show cases, where the archival papers of donations made over the years by the collector are also portrayed.
