August 10, 2014 Homecoming Welcome to Mount Harmony’s Homecoming service! Brittiany Hodge and Brandee Vandergriff will be our special guests soloists this morning and the choir will be performing a song written by Brandee. Lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall immediately following this morning’s service; everyone is welcome to join us!

CONNECT Summer Movie Nights We will be watching Star Wars for our last summer family movie on Sunday, August 24, at dusk, at the Family Life Center. Remember that we will provide free popcorn and drinks. Don’t forget your lawn chairs! Wednesday Morning Bible Study Join us this Wednesday at 10:30am, in the Fellowship Hall, as we continue our study on the book of Romans. Everyone is welcome; make plans to stay for lunch after. Senior Adult Day Trip The Seniors will be traveling to Metcalf Bottoms for a hamburger and hot dog picnic on Saturday, August 23. We will meet at the Family Life Center at 9am. See Louise for more details.

CHILDREN & STUDENTS Harmony Kids Kick-Off Kids age 3-5th grade, come to our fall Harmony Kids kick-off on Wednesday, August 13, at 6pm. We will have pizza, water games, and FUN! This will be a great night to invite your friends. Please bring a towel and a change of clothes. Donations for Schools We are collecting tissue boxes and hand sanitizer for our local Carter schools. Please bring donations to the Welcome Center by Sunday, August 17. Children’s Choir Children’s choir will begin on Sunday, August 17, 6pm, in the Fellowship Hall for any children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Parents, make plans for your child to attend!

J. Harold Smith Center Class The J. Harold Smith Center is offering an Old Testament Survey I class taught by Rev. Major Dalton, at First Baptist Church of Morristown. The class runs August 19 - October 7. See Pastor Martin for more details. Due to security concerns, the locks on the church have been changed. Please turn in your old church keys.
