he 2011 Missouri State Football Guide is intended to serve as a primary source of information for media members, sports information directors and fans who follow the Missouri State Bears. Material in this publication is based on information available as of Aug. 7, 2011. The Missouri State University Office of Athletics Communications is located on the lower level of Hammons Student Center (Room 138), at the corner of Monroe Street and John Q. Hammons Parkway. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Football contact Rick Kindhart (rkindhart@ missouristate.edu) and secondary Football contact Eric Doennig can be reached at (417) 836-5402.

Media Credentials  Credentials are available to personnel from accredited media outlets by writing Rick Kindhart, Missouri State University, 901 South National Avenue, Springfield, MO 65987, via e-mail, or by calling (417) 836-5402. All requests should be made at least 48 hours in advance, and credentials will be available two hours before game time at the Will Call window on the west side of Plaster Sports Complex. All media seating in the press box is reserved on an individual game basis. Parking   Reserved game day parking for members of the media is available in Lot 4, just west of Plaster Sports Complex. Parking passes may be requested by contacting Missouri State University Athletics Communications at least 24 hours in advance. Parking is limited and is based on coverage priority and availability. Media Services   Services for home Missouri State football games include MSU, opponent and MVFC game notes, game program, flip card, halftime box score, score updates of other notable games, and a complete NCAA boxscore with play-by-play descriptions after each contest. Game notes are generally distributed via e-mail on Mondays of game week. To be added to the e-mail distribution list, contact Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications Rick Kindhart. Refreshments are available before each home game in the press box at Plaster Sports Complex, and soft drinks are available throughout the game. Telephones/Internet Access   Phones are available on a first-come, first-served basis in the press box. Wireless internet access is also available in the press box through the University’s guest network. Temporary wireless passwords can be obtained from Athletics Communications personnel. Limited Ethernet data ports are also available in the press box. Photographers   Photographers wishing to shoot game action at Plaster Field should make arrangements with Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications Rick Kindhart at least 48 hours in advance. The NCAA sideline control line policy will be enforced for all media. Per NCAA rules, team bench areas are restricted from all photographers and media personnel throughout the game. Radio Broadcasts   Radio stations wishing to broadcast from Plaster Field should make request through the Athletics Communications office. One courtesy line is available at no charge to the official station of each visiting institution. Additional carriers are charged $100 per event.
