Emily Argotsinger Lee’s Summit, Mo. Lee’s Summit West High School

Background: Argotsinger comes to Missouri State from Lee’s Summit West High School, Missouri 4A champions for the past three years (2007-09). In addition to being a force in cross country, Argotsinger is very talented on the track as well. In 2007, Argotsinger was a member of the state champion 4x800m relay team. In 2008, she followed up that performance with a second-place finish in the 4x800m relay and qualified for the 800-meter run at the state championship meet. In her senior season, Argotsinger capped off an impressive career with an All-American selection the 4x1 mile relay, an all-state nod in the 4x800-meter relay and qualified for state in the 800-meter run.

Erin Edwards Kansas City, Mo. Raytown South High School Background: Edwards was a three-time Missouri all-state selection for cross country at Raytown South High School. She earned all-conference accolades in each of her four years of competition. Edwards will also compete on the track, as she was the Kansas City Mid 6 conference champion in the 3,200-meter run in 2007 and 2009. She was a top ten finisher in the state competition in the 3,200-meter run in 2008 (10th) and 2009 (9th). Edwards graduated from Raytown South number one in her class.

Lisa Imgrund Shawnee, Kan. Shawnee Mission Northwest High School Background: A three-time all-state cross country and four-time all state track and field selection in the Kansas 6A class, Imgrund will join the Lady Bears after a successful high school career at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. In cross country, Imgrund boasts state meet finishes of sixth in 2009, fourth in 2008 and third in 2007. On the track at the state level Imgrund placed third in the 3,200-meters (10:59) and fourth in the 1,600-meters (5:09) in 2010. In 2009, she was runner-up in the 3200-meter run and fifth in the 1,600-meter. Her resume also includes a fifth-place 3,200-meter finish and third-place 1,600-meter finish in 2008 and a second-place finish in the 3,200-meters in 2007. Imgrund set her personal best 10:54 for the 3,200-meter run at the 2010 Seaman Relays. During the Kansas Relays, she ran a personal-best 7:33 in the 2,000-meter steeplechase on her way to a runner-up finish. A three time first team all-KC Metro selection, Imgrund has also seen success at the national level, winning the 2008 Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championship.
