The Campanile Newspaper
The Campanile is a student-run news site for Mount Saint Joseph Academy. The content is created by students who take a Journalism elective or want to participate in The Campanile as a co-curricular activity. Students from all grades are encouraged to participate, as long as they promise to write with courage, conviction and compassion.
Firebirds Robotics Team
The Mount’s Firebirds robotics team (FIRST team #433) is the longest-running FIRST all-girls team in the world and only the second all-girls FIRST team to ever be founded. In spring of 2023 the team won out against 34 other teams from across PA, NJ and Delaware at the FIRST competition, a historic event as this is the team’s first top prize in its 23 year history. Students gain hands-on access to all things related to robotics and engineering, including designing a functioning robot, building, programming, coding, and more—all while being an integral part of a close-knit competitive team. As an active part of the FIRST robotics community, the Firebirds take the mission to heart: to create a world in which everyone has access to experiences that celebrate STEM.
Mount Musical
Typically held in the fall, the Mount’s annual musical is an excellent way for students interested in the performing arts and music to showcase their talents. Led by a production team that includes experienced Mount faculty in music and the arts, the cast performs an intricate, impressive production every year to nearly sold-out crowds.
