Week at A Glance: Reading-Nonfiction- Determine main ideas using text features & running text. How do nonfiction features shape your thinking and help your understanding of the text? Writing- Nonfiction Animal Report Word Study- Words with short u sounds and triple cluster (words beginning with str, spl, scr, spr) Science- Idenifying the properties of solids and liquids Math- Making and Using Numbers 11 to 20. Counting by 10’s to 100. Counting forward on a hundred chart HOMEWORK FOLDER: Parents please look inside your child’s folder each day or night. Also SIGN the assignment sheet/reading log. Unfinished homework may be required to be completed at recess. January Writing Prompts and Reading Log are on the same page. This is due to vacation and saving paper. Next month will be on two separate pages as done on previous months
Winter Vacation Homework packets are due as possible. If they are not finished bring it to school to work on during morning recess.
