“I try to accomplish the unbelievable. I try to move, motivate, and change a person” UNDERATED EMCEE

I see it as a compliment. However, I’m never satisfied so it’s also a put down at the same time. I want the world to hear my music not just a few. It makes me want to just work harder and harder. Hopefully, the people dont let talent go to waste.

HIGHLIGHTS Just waking up and being able to create music that I love is my biggest highlight so far.

MIXTAPES I feel the best way to market your art nowadays is by just being an artist. The fans are what make a mixtape successful so, that question, you would have to ask them. My music is 100% me & my feelings.

CHALLENGE I try to accomplish the unbelievable. I try to move, motivate, and change a person.

REL

“My biggest challenge has been the waiting. It takes so long to get things really moving when you start out with no money and no connections.

20

“Rel is a young kid who had a dream and has chased it since day one. I have always been a dreamchaser and went after things that most people thought couldn’t happen but that is what I always liked about the challenge” LOVE 4 MUSIC

I have been doing music for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first song when I was 8 years old. I flipped the words around to a Lil Bow Wow song and recorded it on a cassette player. I have been doing music nonstop ever since. I am from a town called Bethel Park outside of Pittsburgh, PA.

LOVE 4 MUSIC

The biggest highlight of my career so far has been the placement of my single “Benzes and Porches.” It is in a scene of the new GI Joe Retaliation movie.

LOVE 4 MUSIC

Rel is a young kid who had a dream and has chased it since day one. I have always been a dreamchaser and went after things that most people thought couldn’t happen but that is what I always liked about the challenge. I am finishing college now because I value an education regardless of music. I come from a good family of good people and that is exactly what I think I am, a good person with some goals, some talent, and some drive.

CHALLENGE

My biggest challenge has been the waiting. It takes so long to get things really moving when you start out with no money and no connections. As a young kid you want everything to happen right away. Accepting the fact that it can’t happen overnight has definitely been my biggest challenge. Most people quit after they realize just how long it takes. In doing music, I look to first make money because this is my job, second enjoy it, and third touch and inspire the people who listen to my music. I want to make sure someone out there can feel what I am saying or relate to it in some type of way. That makes people like your music a lot more.

producer for Taylor Gang, and when I heard it I automatically got that anthem kind of vibe from it. The anthem feel comes in the “Get that money” lyric. I felt like that was something that people would feel and remember from the hook, which is what really brings this song together. This song getting in the GI Joe movie has been a blessing for us. My manager Margaret McDonald works extremely hard and is amazing at what she does. In result, she had the song in the movie within about 6 months after hearing it. This industry is all about good business and we pride ourselves on doing good business and working well with people.

Benzes and Porsches

PROJECTS...

Benzes and Porches is not necessarily about the cars. It is about just chasing after the dream and working to get paid. The benzes and porches is just a little side not of what I might want or might be able to get from working hard and chasing the dream. The beat is done by Sledgren, the inhouse

I know I am going to be releasing a mixtape soon then maybe an album at some point. I have been recording for those two projects for a little over a year now. I am constantly leaking songs and putting out freestyles in the meantime, but expect a new project coming from me soon.

“I just hope to be successful and make everyone around me successful. I think the dream would be seeing my company, Knock Out Kings, become something as big as Cash Money or something along those lines. I am set on moving forward with other things in this business which is why I have started the Knock Out Kings brand. From a music stand point, it would be a blessing to see my company thrive to be the best or most successful among the others. I plan to build it with other artists and other moves to get it to that point, but in the meantime it is another dream I am chasing.” 21

My practice of meditation , hypnosis and lucid dream that I practice in my sleep is definitely a very powerful tool I like to share

My best show/performance was... performing in Red Rocks , Denver , in 2003 with the rock band “Godsmack” for the faceless national tour. The natural stage in the middle of the red Denver desert with the open sky packed with stars on top of us and the most unique acoustic that vibrated between the huge rocks, the fans, the sound of the pyrotechnics that surround me on stage while belly dancing 20 feet up on the air and fire. Yup! It was mother earth and universe connection , definitely!

Performing for the first time barefoot on the bed of nails as the only performer of my style doing it in the world ! That was my birthday challenge. May 18, 2012. And I rocked it !

My best memory as a model was... I can say shooting underwater is my favorite but the best is still to come when I shoot with sharks. Yes I will! But my live model work on the runway of the Hawaiian tropica competition in Miami year 2000. Wining 2nd place for best body of the summer gave me a big physical confidence as a My best memory as a dancer was... well that’s woman for sure! easy ! Marking history is definitely memorable. 28

My best experience/meeting was... definitely meeting my friend and tribal prince from Benin Africa , Prince Randy Alam-Sogan, Founder of the wonderful “Child of the Universe “ foundation . The man who made me part of the most nurturing team I could ever be part of as ambassador and as the human I always wanted to be ~ www.facebook.com/shamstitali

My best collaboration was... performing with my mermaid and fire show at the benefit event for the preservation of the oceans and marine life where my activism for the cause was proudly announced . Best way to define myself is... I’m a very strong and spiritual minded human that reflects all the good that is giving to me . Inspirational being that functions of the great vibes of others . A humanitarian all the way to the core !!

Best way to turn my dreams into reality is... My practice of meditation, hypnosis and lucid dream that I practice in my sleep is definitely a very powerful tool I like to share. My visions and belief make it all manifest . Interview by Winnie MC

“Unfortunately it (Zouk Music) was just a bandwagon effect! Nothing more. It’s so shame to only give a little place for carribean music during the summer” You have been in the industry for more than 13 years... After so much time in the game, How did your music evolved? I am a very ecclectic artist. For the last decades, i think i have become more picky about music. When i first got into the game, i was still a girl... and now a woman. That means my music is now much more mature especially concerning the chosen themes and the lyrics. My different travels & collaborations gave me the chance to work on different genres of music as well! Also, i am much more self confident now...not the same artist when i have to perform live... I have learned a lot and master my music, my voice, my art... That gives me much more pleasure & less pressure when i’m on stage. Through that evolution, i finally discover my real love for Live& Acoustic performances. “The perfect mix between the urban scene and carribean music”... Is it a good definition of your style? Yes totally! Basically, my three first albums were R&B. Vocally, my harmonies sounds really R&B but... My fans could already feel that carribean touch through the beats & the melodies. I mean, 32 32

the rythms were clearly afro! That mix defines me very well because this is what i really am... Like the environment in which i grew up... That mix of different cultures and i dont want to change it! Hell no :-) I cant make any “pure” r&b or some “pure”zouk music... That’s definitly not Lynnsha! Looking at your discography, it sounds like you really love collaborations! :-) So far, what has been your best one? Best memory? Wow very hard question :-) I love duos... When i began music, i used to sing with my group. I love to share my passion of music with others. There were some circumstances that finally made me a solo artist. I didnt really have the choice you know! That’s why i love to have people around me on stage, like dancers, chorists etc... Music is a big party, a real celebration for me :-) When i collaborate with other artists, i perform even better! Sounds like they give me their positive energy. I am lucky and honored because i did worked with so many major artists all over the world like Craig David, Fally Ipupa, Jocelyne Beroire... Incredible experiences! I cant even name all the artists i worked with...but you know,Those magic meetings make you grow through your art and

boost your creativity so much. Are you happy with the place of west indian music today in France? Not enough visibility! A couple years ago, major radios & medias decided to broadcast carribean music to a larger public. It was very successful with artists like Slai, Medhi Custos, myself (With Dis l’heure de Zouk) etc...but unfortunately it was just a bandwagon effect! Nothing more. It’s so shame to only give a little place for carribean music during the summer... They limit us. That’s a real regression despite there are so many good albums currently! Do you feel more confortable when you sing in Kreole or in french? Why? When i make R&B songs, i feel much better in french or in english. And Kreole for zouk music. That makes more sense to me. Basically, it depends of the theme and the lyrics. For example, on my recent album “ILE & MOI”, i didnt focus on the languages... It was just a question of feeling, of mood... I did let the words come to me naturally!

For our readers, tell us what is ‘your top 3’ biggest moments in your career? 1- During that big festival in Guyane, i did perform in front of 40k people. It was so impressive. I was under pressure because i did sing that song “Lova Girl” alone as the lead singer (Lord Kossity) was finally absent. And i was very well welcomed... It was very emotional for me when i saw 40k people who were singing the whole song with me! That did happen in the early 2000’s. 2- My meeting with Craig David. I was very excited to meet such an artist. 3- Very recently, my first concert live in Paris (October 2012/ Scène Bastille). The context was very particular because i had some personal troubles a couple days before. I had to overcome that situation and just give the best for my public. I was with my brother on stage and fantastic team around me. That evening, i really realised that music is my therapy. When i am performing in front of my public, i forget everything around me... What are your projects for this summer? Like always, 2 weeks of vacations :-) to go back to Martinique to chill with my family! That’s very important for me. Then, Work, Work, WORK! I got some concerts in France, in West indies, in Africa. And maybe i will come to see you in Miami to make some concerts with Mr Dreamz magazine! Why not :-) (lol) It would be amazing! Do you plan to work with artists beyond borders? Yes i will! I am about to work on my next album so during my next travels, i will meet my future collaborators. This is how i work. I dont know in advance who gonna be on my album. I always stay very open-minded and ready to work with talented artists. By the way, i recently work on a single with Dibi Dobo & JJK ... We are about to make the official video in Abidjan (Ivory Coast)! So are you a real Ms. Dreamz? What are your dreams? Yes definitely. You have to dream in order to live your life to the fullest. I am very blessed and lucky because, so far, i have fulfilled some of my dreams. I always stay very positive and optimistic! Interview by Dream Kayris

“More goals to reach, more money to make, more hits and classic to put out, keep on providing for my family and being a real nigga!” Paris... How can you describe your city in three words for our readers? Fast Life, Hustle, Opportunity! How is the Hip Hop music industry over there? It’s expanding even more now with the presence of internet... Everybody can put out a video, a song so people tries to compete more! That increases the level of the game! On the other hand, you have some garbage stuffs that comes also... But as long as people create, that’s cool! We heard that this is a real Jungle for rappers! What is your opinion about it? Everybody tries to shine on his own so everybody hustles like he can. What i hate about it is that rapping becomes a fashion style. In order to become someone, you have to rap so all the wack MC’s try to have their shot and sometimes shine... That’s not fair for the real rappers who work so hard on their side. Since 2007 and your single”Etat des lieux”... How has your music evolved so far? More rappers came into the game, more produ34

-cers as well, the music level is heavier now and the audience changed a lot. The listeners are younger, they know less about the history of Hip Hop. As a french artist, i guess you were proud to open for such stars like T-Pain, Methodman etc... What is your best memory? If you had to just keep one.. Chilling time in the Hotel Lobby with Method Man, getting high, cracking jokes like we were buddies from day one... For our readers, tell us what is ‘your top 3’ biggest hits in your career? “ETATS DES LIEUX”, “PRENDS MON 06”, “UN PROPHETE”. Who is the team behind the S.D Click? SD CLICK is the crew that stands behind me, rappers and more, who give me the strentgh! It’s always going to be about SD Click. It is tattooed on our hand...For life. Also, you have the label, 1.6 BLOCK PROD, which puts out my records. Why “ICE CRIMINEL”? Does that alias re-

-present you the best? Yeah it’s my AKA, a friend of mine gave me that nickname because i am always fresh from head to toe so i’m ice! and my punchlines usually kill people so i’m a criminel (in french) lol...That gives ICE CRIMINEL. That alias fits me very well so i use it a lot but i have other ones like MWANA MABE, BLACK JO BANANA, S TO THE PI, MAMADOU PEANUTS... Sounds like you had a lot of good feedbacks about the ONE SHOT video single. What was the concept behind that street hit? It really had no concept at all. It was just a banger that i created with my partners in crime (YOUSSOUPHA & SAM’S), laughing, smoking, drinking, put a beat, laying bars... We found a hook, and the record took place. I named it ONE SHOT because the day of the session, we recorded our verses only one time behind the mic! We did it in 30 minutes! TRUE STORY!

Do you work with artists beyond borders? Have you traveled a lot? Yeah, i did some joints with artists from Englad, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Africa... My lifestyle keeps me moving from county to country so yes, i travel a lot and i love it! It made me a better man and a better artist i guess. What are your projects for 2013? I’m working on a concept “CHRONIQUE D’UN G&G”, on my debut album “GESTEUR & GENTLEMAN”, still on the worldwide tour with Youssoupha. So are you a real MR. Dreamz? What are your dreams? I’m not really a dreamer, i like to accomplish things, i’m “Head on the shoulder” dude. More goals to reach, more money to make, more hits and classic to put out, keep on providing for my family and being a real nigga! Interview by Joha Brown

So far so good, progressive! 2013 turning out to be a a wonderful year!” You are the undefeated WBA World champion! Since 2005, your debut as profesional, you have never lost a fight. So impressive! What is it to STILL do not know the taste of the defeat? I mean, Does it give you an extra pressure? “Not extra pressure, and by the way… correction its Super Welterweight! Haha, I’m just sayin. Actually I’ve taken my losses in the amateurs, Gotta know how to loose in order to know how to win. I know what it taste like, don’t want to taste it again” That’s why your Nickname is «NO DOUBT»? Kind of, but there are many different levels of me, that’s just one of them! But definitely to Remove all doubts to the world that I am the Champion According several Boxing specialists, your fight against COTTO was your biggest challenge ever! EPIC! What is your opinion about it? Was it a decisive moment in your career? Definitely a decisive moment in my career. Honestly, he wasn’t the hardest fighter I’ve fought but definitely the most impressive track record than anybody I’ve ever been in the ring with Next step... This coming fight against Saul Alvarez... To you, what are his main qualities? There should be no other fight but me and Saul! He’s a tough fighter, but tough doesn’t mean Smart! And Smarter always wins in the Ring When you were a kid... When did you understand you would become a boxer? Who were the boxers that really inspired you at that time ? Started at 10 years old, I was and still am a day dreamer; 1 of the dreams was a Boxing Champion, some others were Basketball, Baseball, you name it! At 10 years old you want to do everything; It wasn’t until 15 years old that I realized I could actually do this boxing thing for real; Some of my Idols include, Roy Jones, Mike Tyson… you know the greats! Who was Austin Trout as a kid? Define him with three words and explain...

I’m still kinda a kid, lol. Adventurous, Mischievious, Fun-Seeking, Adventurous- Try anything if it sounds like fun. A bit of an Adrenaline Junkie – Next on my list is Sky Diving!! Mischiveous – Sometimes through problems we have the best fun! Since I’m fun loving, it sometimes leads to problems. FunSeeking – Always looking for a good time, willing to step outside my box to find it! Tell us something that a Boxer fan does not understand about being a pro... Doesn’t realize the motions, the mental drain, not necessarily the fight, but the family, the training camp, getting in shape and getting at or meeting weight. t’s definitely a tough task! Knowing that you cant eat what you want, and as much as you want! I don’t know about any other Men, but when I’m hungry, I’m Grumpy ! Lol ! What music do you listen to? Who’s your favorite artist or group? I’m definitely a Hip-Hop Head! I’m also very diverse, I like anything from Punk Rock , Heavy Metal to R&B too! My favorite artist of all time is JAY Z! Hova is the Best! Right now I’ve been listening to a lot of Kendrick Lamar, and Lupe. Who is the real Austin... Behind the spotlights? I guess you are very Proud of your children! Do they show any interests in your job? My youngest daughter says she’s gonna grow up to be boxer just like me, lol! My son doesn’t know what he wants to do, lol! He also shows interest and says he does, but I couldn’t train him though, I’m already crazy at there football games and stuff, couldn’t even imagine a boxing match! Lol!

“I feel like I’m a role model, but not really self appointed...” Are you involved in any type of charity, projects to help the community? Yes, St.Baldrick’s, March of Dimes, pretty much anything that has to do with the kids! How do you see yourself in the future...15 years from now? Um..you know, the option to retire or be retired. Maybe seeing my daughter having a child of her own, maybe a grandpa, WOW!! I don’t think I’d like to think that far ahead, lol! let’s focus on now. Lol

INTERVIEW MADE BEFORE HIS DEFEAT AGAINST SAUL ALVAREZ (ON THE 14TH MARCH). Interview by Winnie MC

“What are your dreams? I’m already on my way to live my dreams but...hum...Eventually getting my acting career on!”

“The most attractive quality a woman can have is wanting to achieve something significant in life.” What is your best “college career” memory? That magic moment that did show you drove in the right direction? My most memorable collegiate memory was when we (UCLA Football team) beat USC’s undefeated team in 2006 to knock them out of the national championship. Best highlight with the New England Patriots? My first game playing for the Patriots which was a Monday Night Football game. The feelings and emotions of that event are indescribable but it was an absolute high. 42

What are your goals with the NY Jets? To be honest, winning! Winning and playing at a level of excellence that is respected around the rest of the NFL.

Who’s your favorite artist or group? I love music from every genre. Right now I have been loving what Justin Timberlake is doing. I am also a big jay-z fan.

Tell us something that an NFL fan does not understand about being a pro... There is more work than play. Rigorous routines of day to day training requires the most discipline a human being can ever imagine.

Athlete, artist, business man... Is it hard to wear several hats? No it’s not when you understand how to manage your time, have a great team, and are disciplined enough to make the right decisions.

Focusing on Bret Lockett, what music do Who is the Real Bret Lockett... Behind sport, you listen to?

“Your present circumstance doesn’t determine where you can go, it merely determines where you start.” behind the spotlight.. How would you describe yourself in a few words.. I am extremely humble. It surprises many people when they first meet me for some odd reason. I’m also a very goofy guy. I love laughing and cracking jokes with anyone but I also have a very serious side as well. All in all, I think I’m well rounded and you get a little bit of everything hanging around Bret Lockett.

As a man, what are your dreams? When I was a teenager my dream was to make it to the NFL but once my dream became reality, it changed entirely. I realized how influential I was among the youth and how many children needed and still need help. So as for dreams now, the only dream I have is to change the lives of others by being as successful as I can be while helping as many people along the way as possible.

As a star, you are selling dreams to young kids from the streets. Are you a role model for them? No, I don’t consider myself to be a role model. I am only an example of what to do and what not to do. I believe that families should be role models for each other, particularly parents.

For the girls... Is Bret single? Yes I am

Can you tell us more about the The Looking Forward Foundation? The “Looking Forward” foundation is an organization I established 4 years ago because I wanted to have an avenue to give back to my local community. I wanted to give children a chance to succeed in situations where most are suppose to fail. Furthermore, I wanted to make a positive impact on why school is important and how it relates to the real world. I have done 3 free youth football camps thus far and plan on expanding in the next year or two to after school programs in the Los Angeles area.

What are your type of girls? I don’t have a type when it comes to the physical. For me, I’m drawn to a woman by her intellect more than anything. I also love someone who is inspiring, that loves to laugh, and have a great time. The most attractive quality a woman can have is wanting to achieve something significant in life. The craziest thing a woman has done for you in the past? This is a difficult question. I’d have to say stalk me out and then pretend she didn’t do it. Last words for our readers... Your present circumstance doesn’t determine where you can go, it merely determines where you start.

Demarco, Elephant man etc… I love Hip-Hop, it’s the base of my musical culture. I listened french hip-hop (NTM, IAM etc…) then US, R’n’B, Soul and Jazz. My life has been marked by artists as Michael Jackson, Busta Rhymes, Missy Eliott, Method Man, Redman, Blackstreet, Mary J Blige, Jill Scott, Musiq, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday and many more. All those artists helped me to find my own words and my own sound.

“Giving a little love to someone who lacks of confidence can radically turn that person to a beautiful kind of one.” THE LATEST NEWS ABOUT SWE ON www. twitter.com/Swe971 For people who still dont know you... Where do you come from? Hi, my name is Swé and I’m a French Westindian artist from Guadeloupe who leaves in Paris. I have always leaved in Paris but my parents did their best to send me holidaying in Guadeloupe as often as possible. I learned to walk over-there, most part of my family leaves there so it is and will always be home to me. Can you tell us the 3 things you love about your island... I Love the smells and sounds of my island. Food smells always makes me want to eat good things, and you can smell it everywhere and at anytime. I love it. Rain smells, when it’s raining there’s an earth smell rising and it’s as if you could feel the earth breathing under your foot. I love the sound of that rain when it falls down upon the roofs in sheet. I love the way people leaves with music. Music is following us all day and all night long… I couldn’t count how many cars are provided with big sound system so you can hear their playlists from a half mile around ! Guadeloupe is not a place where it is easy to leave when you’re not used to musical disturbance and I love it. And at last I would say our culture and lifestyle. We know how to make people comfortable. Guadeloupe isn’t a big island so everybody knows each other more or less, and it’s easy to spend good conviviality time with good friends and family. 3 things you hate... As conviviality brings a lot of enjoyment, proximity can also bring bad feelings between people. That’s how neighborhood troubles appear. Some people have a tendency to spy and envy everyones move because of their jealousy. They don’t realize that life ain’t easier for any of us. Living in Guadeloupe can turn to be oppressing. We are not affected by world matters the same way over-there. It’s like leav-

Is the single “HOLIDAY” decisive for your career? Did you expect to get such a buzz with that song? “Holiday” gave me the chance to be recognized by the medias and a larger public. It’s my visit card. I didn’t expect such a buzz, I just hoped it would touch people, bringing them back good holiday memories and maybe create some more. Toby Love

Already 6 years in the music industry (as a solo artist)... How do you explain your longevity on top? What is your secret? Honestly, I have no secret. I try to push myself and take things to the next level in everything I do, musically, vocally, in all my videos, in anything. I always wanna be the best I can be, who doesnt right lol. Also I have the best fans in the world that appreciate what I do, and they give me the fuel I need to keep rocking. How have your music & style evolved so far? Its evolved tremondously thank God. You know when new artists follow my same style, and movement in bachata... that shows me that i’m doing something right.

Best place for a romantic rendezvous ?

“La ciudad del amor,in paris in front of the tower of course. its the most romantic place in the world, especially at night.”

Back to the early 2000’s... What did your experience with Aventura, as a backup singer, bring to you artistically? Being with my brothers from aventura showed me alot. It especially gave me more experience and confidence, on stage to forget my shyness, especially with the ladies lol. We went through the good, and struggle together, so me being on my own makes me appreciate the blessings I have today. Not alot of artist can say they left an epic group and made it solo. its a blessing!!! Can you explain to our readers what Crunkchata is? Crunkchatta is just me trying to be different from everyone else in my genre. I recorded my first album in my hometown nyc, and in miami. at that time crunk music was poppin, and I wanted to urbanize bachata to have my own swag & style, so I put my brother pitbull on a track called stripper pole, and it just made sense to call that style of bachata crunkchatta, cause its a fusion of crunk music, with bachata music. The fans really blew it up, and now theirs dance classes all around the world that teaches you how to dance crunkchatta, pretty cool!!! So the King of Crunkchata won 2 Latin Awards in 2008 ! Was it your biggest highlight? The 2 billboards were definitley one of my biggest highlights so far. Being nominated for a grammy was also big one for me. Traveling all over the world, being with my new label is definitley big cause im working with an epic team, and one of the best latin music producers of our time.

That’s why I say i have the most loyal and best fans in the galaxy.” How did you hook up with TOP STOP MUSIC? Who is the team behind your movement? I hooked up with Topstop music because of someone that worked with Sergio George. People let him know that I was a free agent and that I was shopping for a deal. I had a couple of deals on the table, but I loved the passion TopStop has towards their artist, and music. Topstop flew me down to florida and i had a meeting with Sergio George, after that meeting, I knew i had found my new home. Personally, and being from France, i discover you through your collaboration with Alexis y Fido (Soy igual k tu). According to you, what’s your top 3 best collabs? LBO SFTSMusicGroup@Gmail.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/LBO52

Where do you come from & how did you get your artist name LBO? I’m from Long Island, New York and I received my stage name in high school. People called me “Elbo” in short for my last name Elbendary. It was later shortened to LBO by a classmate of mine to stand for “Lyrically Brilliant One.” Very early in your life, you fell in love with writing...the power of words. What gives you the inspiration in your songs? & What are your main message behind your music ? The inspiration behind my music is the outlet it is for me. Writing, songwriting, producing- they’re all by products of me living my life and some of the struggles I have to go through. My main messages speak of getting through these experiences, and how life goes on. You recently did make the buzz with your tape OLD SOUL! Old Soul had some great feedback and landed on some major cites for it. For example, I won a HotNewHipHop competition with the song “Me, Myself, and I.” I also got on 24HourHipHop, real RAP Promo, WWS Magazine, Push Power Promo, Remington’s World, and some other places. A lot of people told me it sounded more like an album than anything else.

What is the concept behind that mixtape? Old Soul is a work that shows off how I have a thinking process way beyond my years. I’ve always been called an Old Soul, someone who lived a few lifetimes prior to this one. Present us SFTS Music Group. Is it your own label ? A movement ? SFTS Music Group is just the name of my personal studio. It stands for Shooting for the Stars, one of my first songs I made with a friend of mine back in sophomore year of High School. What are your motivations & projects for 2013? My motivation for 2013 is the great response I got from the Mixtape. Projects for 2013 include songs featuring Dizzy Wright, Sims, and Chris Brown. I also have some exclusive projects such as writing to this new beat “R.I.P.” which uses a sample of Kendrick Lamar’s “Blow My High.” What makes you got next as a top artists coming from your city? My lyricism, delivery, and microphone presence all contribute to me being a top artist.

“If you lose your life to the streets, then you were never built for it because you didn’t survive”. That really hit home for me because it just took me back on what I had went through, and it made me realize how much of a soldier I really am.

Your first hip hop krush? My first hip hop crush was Eve, hands down. I got more added to the list now lol. Explain where you come from? My daddy and I moved around a lot. I’m originally from Donaldsonville, LA. We moved to VA when I was about 7, so until I graduated high school, I was always back and forth between home and VA. I’m back home now though. Where were you born? I was born in Plaquemine, LA. First time you felt in love with Hip Hop (what song)... Picture us the scene! Lol... It’s kind of funny because when I was with my dad, I wasn’t allowed to listen to anything but christian music. When I was about 10, I used to get teased about it all the time because I didn’t know any of the mainstream hip hop/r&b songs out. I started sneakin’ and listenin’ to the radio and would record the songs I liked on a tape lol. Ratchet as f***. When I was 13 though, I started listenin’ to DMX. I wanted to be a Ruff Ryda lol. Me and my friends used to walk around with the lil “R” chains on cause we knew we was the s***. Just shows how easily influenced adolescents are...you feel me. Krazy story!? I battled through depression most of my life. I hated that it was just me and my dad all the way in VA, but my mom, siblings and the rest of my fam were back home. I was bullied a lot too. I knew how to “DEFEND” myself but I didn’t know how to “SPEAK” for myself. After I graduated High School, me and my father had a disagreement, and he kicked me out. I was about 18. He always says I had the choice to stay, but back then, and still to this day, I don’t believe I did. I moved back to home, and after about 4 months, I tried living on my own back in VA. I was doing okay at first, but then of course, “life” happens and it was 54

a wrap. I was on the streets for years. I could have moved back with my mom, but my pride was too strong and I was determined to make it. I was sleeping from house to house, in cars, bathrooms, benches. I always had food though lol, whether I stole it or bought it. 2009 was my first time staying in a shelter. My second time was in 2011. I hated it. They really treat you like s*** cause they know you won’t leave. Where the f*** can you go? I met some real ass dudes there though, and they my n***** to this day. I’m glad I went through everything I did though because I’m no longer afraid. I didn’t lose my life to the streets, and most importantly, I survived. It’s one thing when you can do it for a few days or a few weeks, but I was going through that s*** for 5 years. No one ever knew about it neither, and I kept myself as clean as I could. Looking at me, you wouldn’t even assume any of what I just said happened, even while it was happening. I smiled all the time, but I was angry, and I still don’t really trust, or genuinely get attatched to people, but that’s what made me. That’s how Logan Roux was created. Anger and Growth. Your projects for 2013? You can expect a lot coming from me this year. My second mixtape, “RELENTLESS”, will be released sometime this summer. I actually have more things that will be taking place this year, but I won’t say. I’m also focused on a lot of behind the scenes work also. You can find me on Facebook, Youtube, iTunes, and many other sites. Trust the plus, you’ll be seeing a lot more of me this year. Why do you got Next? Well for one, I only make hits. The reason why people don’t ever tell me my s*** is whack is because I don’t just put anything out. I really consider my fans and potential fans, and even myself. I really dig deep, and I’m a perfectionist. God has blessed me with other gifts. Before I began doing hip hop their were a list of other things I used to do. I’m a writer, I draw, I used to act when I was a lot younger. I want to eventually venture out and do all of these once I am more established as a music artist.

DNYED

Follow me @dnyed5542 Born in Detroit, Who are the artists who did influence your music? Yes born and raised on the eastside of Detroit my major influence of my music is Eminem , Nick Varcity , and Big Sean as of detroit but overall period T.I , B.o.B , Common , Jay Z, and Kanye West every artist named I respect their grind, music & lyrics How did you choose your artist name? Pretty much growing up, every route I have chosen to go, I felt denied so when I finally decided to make a epic change in my life and focus on my music I decided “D-nyed” was the perfect name. Please describe your sound? I describe my sound as different maker in hip-hop that no one has heard my lyrics and vibe of the music many people can relate to. How did you hook up with Next Level Entertainment? I hooked up with Nxt Level Ent last summer. It was Epic. I hooked up with one of the founders, Jay-Nu & we were working together at directv and he invited me to their party and we talked things over and from there I joined the team.

“My vision of hip -hop is epic due to the fact that actually hiphop in my eyes is still young! the Creativity of hip hop has grown and I want to be part of the movement”

What is your vision of Hip Hop future? My vision of hip -hop is Epic due to the fact that actually hip-hop in my eyes is still young. the Creativity of hip hop has grown and I want to be part of the movement and make my mark in hip hop history and hip hop can’t do anything but contuine to grow. Also, as an artist /songwriter, I listen to every genre... The more you gain and listen the more ability you have to create on every aspect of music Can you share with us the story of your new single FOCUS? I wanted to let it be known I’m focused and the grind never stop. Whats are your upcoming projects for 2013? “Cause im me and won’t change. A regular dude that goes through the same ups and downs as other people and the fact I spit and speak the streets and everyday life. And my Dreamz are to just succeed in life mentally and spiritually to become better than I was.” Your first hip hop krush? I would say the west coast and the south coast style of rap. It’s when I first fell in love with the music to see the passion ethnics that was brought by the likes Tupac Lady of Rage Snoop Dogg and the dog pound. The lyrics that they wrote about touch me in numerous of ways. Because in that day of time, unlike a lot of music today, you was able to relate too. Not just to relate but to feel like every song back then was meant for you and the people in your community. Where you come from? Well I come from the streets. I was raised on the south side of Houston Texas in the South Acres neighborhood. The same neighborhood where rap icon Scarface is from. Thee hood is where I struggled and learn to be a man. So for me, to come into rap and to forget about where I come from is not an option. See I want to be a person that when I do make it I can still come back to my community and kick it unlike most of these rappers that can’t come back too the hood. And talk the streets and can’t come back to the streets hell the street is my life! First time you fell in love with hip-hop? What was that special song for you? The first song... I would say... Brenda’s got a baby by 2Pac because of his creativity & pas56

-sion he had in the song. Not to mention it was a song that all people, no matter of color or nationality, can relate to and in that day of time it was a lot of Brenda’s especially in the ghetto. So that song made me like wow how he took a real life situation and made a song that everybody can feel compassion for the things that were going on in our communities. Second I would say Scarface and the Ghetto Boys for the song 6 feet deep the song was dear to me my family and friends in the hood. Because it was the truth about some tragic incidents in the neighborhood that happened when I was a kid. But it was those songs like that they made me want to write about the things that was going on. So that we as people could see what was happening and to make a change for the coming generations. To come together as people and set aside all difference. Last, I would say Afro Puffs by the Lady of Rage. Because it made me realize that if you push hard enough you shall see your Dreamz. And I meant that because I had the chance to see not only somebody I know as a friend but as family. Make it in the music industry and to breach into film. And I believe that’s the main influence in my life as for music. Your projects for 2013? Well currently I’m working on my new Mixtape Hustlaz On Tha Block vol 2. And a project col

laboration with my boy Jo Jo of Rock Solid Music and Unique of Grit Boys. The Mixtape will be entitled “Criminal Element”! While working on my solo project entitled I’m Me. Plus a S.A Fools album that’s a cal lab between me and other people out the hood. And I will also be working on some collaborations with the Lady of Rage Jordan Antonio Scarface and others in the coming future I’m working on learnin to better myself as a rapper, person indivisual, entrepreneur and producer/ engineer. I love music even if I don’t make it to where I wanna be! I’ll be happy at whatever cause music is my life! Why are you the next hip hop krush? Cause i’m me and won’t change. A regular dude that goes through the same ups and downs as other people and the fact I spit and speak the streets and everyday life. And my Dreamz are to just succeed in life mentally and spiritually to become better than I was. Inspiration tweet? Failure without trying is failure but to fail while trying leaves chance! I take that for what it is. I’d rather die trying to succeed at what you want then to fail and to not have tried! Dreamz or aspirations and goals. Just go for it you never

“I went out to dinner with the female I was dating at the time. I had Shrimp Scampi with rice and vegetables. We get home, I’m taking a shower and realized that I can’t stop scratching and itch that won’t go away. Everything was itching, my head, my arms, my legs, my ears, everything. Then my sking started to feel like leather, and my fingers were getting swollen. Then my lips were swollen, and that’s when I rushed out the shower. I looked in the mirror and I couldn’t recognize myself. Everything was swollen, and I could barely see out of my left eye. I called my girlfriend in the next room (we lived together), and she immediately ran outside to get the car started. As I started walking to the car, I suffered shortness of breath. My throat started closing up, and it got to the point where I couldn’t breath at all. I started to black out on the way to the hospital, and luckily we made it there on time and the nurse stabbed me with an epipen and the swelling went down instantly. After that, it took me almost 8 years to eat seafood again, but it’s always taught me to be prepared for anything!

Your first hip hop krush? I’m from NJ, Essex County to be exact. I was born in Brooklyn, NY but I was raised in NJ so I’m not reppin’ Brooklyn like that really. I remember I was going to the park after school and a group of kids were listening to music, Hip Hop wasn’t as big as it is today back then, and I was a young buck so I didn’t really have means to music like that because I didn’t have a job and there wasn’t any internet either. Anyway, they were listening to ‘Shook Ones’ by Mobb Deep and I had a connection with the song instantly. I was bobbin my head, and rappin along to the hook. After that I listened to the song every day for what seemed like years. I started listening to more Mobb Deep, more Hip Hop, and more music in general, it just consumed me. Soon after I started writing, and that’s when I realized it was something I loved.

To this day, I still know a good bit of that song by heart, and Mobb Deep still remains one of my favorite groups.

I know I have the dedication and confidence to do it, right now I just don’t have the means, but I will and that’s what’s most important.

Your projects for 2013? Right now, I’m putting the finishing touches on my mixtape ‘Garden State Project’ or GSP for short. I’m doing more viral videos, my last one did 130k+ views in a little over 6 days so I’m definitely gaining momentum with those. Then I’m doin g features for other artists, and still looking for that single to put me over the top.

INSPIRATION TWEET> I don’t follow many celebrities because they’re anti-social on social networks, but I’ve had plenty of inspirational things said to me. The most recent situation is a certain artist’s manager contacted me after my last video went viral and told me he saw my vision and wanted to help take me to that next level. May not seem like much to anyone else but to someone like me that’s doing everything on their own with no co-sign or help, it means the world.

Why are you the next Hip Hop fan’s KRUSH? I’m creative, and I’m versatile. I don’t want to be the next big rap artist, I want to be the next big business mogul period. Not just in music, but in entertainment in general. I want to be involved in movies, radio, music, tv, sports, everything.

“People that listen to my stories will feel a connection and will be able to relate to it. Especially the people that have struggled in life to get where there at now.”

For people who dont know you, where do you come from? I come from this very small town named Homestead, Florida which is about 20 minutes south of Miami. What has been your hardest struggle so far? My biggest struggle was when me and my mother were homeless for almost 5 years. At the time my father wasnt around at all, he was addicted to alcohol and pain killers so he was in and out of rehab. This point of my life was definitley the hardest, We slept in the same car for almost 2 years while i was still going to high school trying my hardest to get my grades up, then they ended up repoing the car we were sleeping in so we had to go to different shelters and live in disgusting motels with very little money. And you best musical experience? My best musical experience is when I went to a Jay-z concert, Jay is one of my favorite rappers of all time so when I went to that concert i was completely star struck. I think I was like 13 years old when I went. How did all that impact on your music? It had a major impact on my music because I definitley have something to talk about in my verses that will get people intouch with my music. People that listen to my stories will feel a connection and will be able to relate to it. Especially the people that have struggled in life to get where there at now. As an artist, what are your motivations? My motivation as an artist is to relate to my audience as much as I can, Be as real as I can in my music, and simply just be my self, Thats the only person I can be. You will never hear me rapping about selling drugs or being in a gang or none of that because I know thats not me at all ! But you will hear motivational songs, Stories about things that happened to me in my life, stuff to get people moving, and things about love and relationships because those are the things ive experienced in my life. What are your upcoming projects for this summer? I dont have any exact dates on any upcoming projects but im currently working on my first mixtape titled, ‘’Who the F*** is Geno? “ which i plan on releasing sometime late 2013 or early 2014.

“Hip Hop is a genre that has evolved and grown and can change with every generation. My vision for hip hop in the future is a future where as a genre we continue to grow and expand our outreach to different ethnic backgrounds and cultures so that the sounds stay fresh and diversified.” Follow me @OVTHECARIBBEANK As a kid, Who were the artists who did influence your music? I feel major influences in music that I had growing up were artist like LL Cool J, Bone Thugs, Nas, 2 Pac, B.I.G, and of course Big Pun(Boricua!). And that’s just on the hip hop tip I was raised with deep cultural roots so Latino and Caribbean artist in different music genres other than hip hop had some type of influence on me and my evolution as an artist. How did you choose your artist name? The name O.V aka O dot to the V came about as me not wanting to have some kind of rapper name that would remind my audience of anyone or anything other than me. Its authentic simple and original, it’s the first letters of my first and last name Orlando Vargas. It also stands for Outstanding Verses which is a standard and a title. How did you fall in love with poetry? My first form of “raps” or writing came by the way of poetry. I was always fascinated by the art because of the ability it gave someone to express themselves. It’s like painting a picture with words. There really are no rules on how you go about it and that freedom really leaves a

lot of room for creativity and expression. You can really grab your audience and take them into the depths of the mind. All of the human emotions are explored and even sometimes exploited in these writings, from sadness, happiness, anger, and so forth you are able to channel different energies both negative and positive and create an outlet for yourself. Being from Millville (NJ), a small city, is an obstacle for an indie artist who wants to shine? Although I currently reside in Millville NJ I am born and raised in Vineland New Jersey. I don’t think it is any more of an obstacle for me being from a small city than it is for an independent artist from a major city to shine. If you shine bright enough sooner or later you will be noticed. If you want something bad enough and you have the desire and dedication for it dreams can come true, anything is possible if your realistic with yourself and put the time and effort into your craft. What is your vision of Hip Hop future? Hip Hop is a genre that has evolved and grown and can change with every generation. My vision for hip hop in the future is a future where as a genre we continue to grow and expand our

outreach to different ethnic backgrounds and cultures so that the sounds stay fresh and diversified. But we have to keep lyricism as a strong foundation because without that you lose the most important part of our music and it begins to really get watered down. Can you tell us the story behind the new single “DEFEATED”? The new single Defeated is a game changer. The theme is based on the competiveness of the rap world. I put it together basically saying not only can I beat you lyrically bar for bar but I’m going to look good doing it! Beastboy Osmosis

Your first hip hop krush? I come from or raised in Prince George’s County, part of the DMV areas & was born in Silver Spring, MD, (Montgomery County). First time I felt in love with HipHop was when I was at home at the age of 9 & I was watching Rugrat. I turned the channel to MTV I seen this rapper named Eminem spring break performing this song called “Hi my name is”. I never saw a white guy rap like that before & was moved by his lyrics & his whole performance. Krazy story: Got kicked out of High School for being bad & a rebel and for Graffiti…always into art & pictures. Didn’t really listen to anybody and just did my own thing but being out on the streets thru those times, chasing drugs & seeing what not just me, but others were going thru, I knew I needed a change to be a better man. When I started doing music….I started talking about my life & just struggles thru my music. Also I make people smile when they here me because I sound so happy & so real when I do it I was told. I learned how to make beats, engineering, videos, etc….all of these things on my own with no help. I knew this was my home. As an Artist it helped me grow & thru the emotion I poured out I felt so

much better! Just like Lil B said “it was pain in my heart”. I’m so blessed! Your projects for 2013? There is a Project in the works for an Album! Not gonna reveal too much but I dropped a mixtape in 2011 called The Beast Within & did pretty good for a first try so now in 2013 I feel there should be an Album try! Last year I just dropped videos & got things on track. I will say everything on the Album is Produced by me tho. The name of the Album will not be reveled until I’am absolutely sure it’s ready. Why are you the next Hip Hop fan’s KRUSH? I don’t know, the people say I have soul & I’m different…not the same thing you hear everyday which is pretty cool. My dreams are to work with Eminem, Kid Cudi, Lil B & Justin Timberlake! Other then that I’m living it! Shout Out to #TeamLoser!!! (Team loser are those who are bullied, picked on, talked down to, Never give up on Dreams)! “I UNDERSTAND LOTA PPL FROM DA HOOD WONT TELL U THE TRUTH CUZ THEY TRYNA GET $ AND BETTER THEMSELVS, UNDERSTAND I WILL TELL U TRUTH”- Lil B

A good friend once said, I have always taken risks, I’m never afraid to “Gamble” and it stuck from there! How does the «New Orleans culture» impact on your music? New Orleans is a melting pot. We have several different cultures inside 10 city blocks…including Spaniard, French, German and African. So needless to say they all have their own music. Growing up in New Orleans allows me to be versatile and keep the listeners on their toes. Just keep listening! How did you live that Katrina tragedy ? What did this experience bring to you as a man? As an artist? Awe man! That was a horrible experience for everyone involved. Between trying to escape the city at the last minute, losing contact with my family and being separated from everything I knew. As I look back, it was the single worst and best experience of my life. God made sure that my family made it out safely, but forced me to see that I can

stand alone as I moved without any family at all. As a man it allowed me to see what is truly important in life. As an artist, it gave me a story, it gave me pain, and triumph all at the same time. Hurricane Katrina along with all my life experiences was key ingredients to my Success! I will not stop until I succeed! I’ve been through too much not to. Best artistic experience so far? Had to hands downs be performing at the Legendary Webster Hall, NYC in front of music Legends! But not just performing, receiving the love from Heavy Hitters in the Bad Boy and Def Jam Camp! Tell us, what does a public relations agent actually do? Our firm, Lexicon Public Relations, is a fullservice celebrity and corporate public relations agency that covers both the United States and Canada concurrently. What that means is that we offer people (celebs/musicians) and companies (fashion, product, websites, etc.) publicity services such as public profile raising/protection and awareness through various media initiatives, endorsements and crisis/reputation management. To sum up what we do briefly as I can go on for a while, we pretty much look at a person or company’s goals and we help them get there, whether it be getting them on red carpets, getting them magazine covers, helping to arrange radio/TV interviews, or helping to create a media savvy pitch and biography so that their story or product gets placed in a headline news cycle. How long have you been in this industry? I’ve been working in the entertainment industry since I was 14-years-old and working as a radio intern at The Fan 590 in Toronto, Canada. How did you get into it? I mean how did you become a PR and why? Before I got into public relations here in Los Angeles I was working as a radio host across Canada on various stations such as KISS 92.5, Z103.5, Mix100, and for a little bit at Y100 in Miami, Florida.

64

As a radio host I had always been in touch with celebrities who would come on our shows, and whenever the celebs were in town, I would help them get other interviews, take them out and/or get them endorsement deals with various brands in my city. That was my first real taste of personal public relations. After helping different companies and celebs grow their brands through my connections, I realized my true passion wasn’t entertaining and being on-air anymore in radio, but the public relations side of things and help-

ing to build and shape careers – both in the celebrity and corporate world. With this new passion in mind, the opportunity came to change careers as I was helping with the Toronto International Film Festival’s gifting suite one year and met Steve Rohr, the owner of Lexicon Public Relations, as his client Martin Sheen was in town for the festival. Steve and I got talking and eventually came up with a strategy to expand his boutique firm both in the United States and Canada… a year later, I quit radio in Toronto and moved to sunny Los Angeles where I was hired as Lexicon’s Management Consultant, which grew into a position as their Operations Manager / Senior Account Executive.

Can you share with us the most incredible PR story you’ve seen in Hollywood? The most incredible stories are watching the actors or brands we work with develop and become huge after implementing our strategic PR plans for them. I think an incredible example is watching our client BullyVille.com transform into the website it is today. The site is a place where celebs and others can go to upload their anti-bullying stories and help others who are in need. When we first started with the website as a client it was getting a so-so amount of traffic, but after putting into place our PR media initiatives, along with aligning the website with stars such as Dj Ashba of Guns N’ Roses and Becca Tobin of Glee as the site’s spokespeople, the website (in under a year) has fully taken off and now attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors and has made a huge impact in changing AND SAVING the lives of people who are bullied around the globe. There is nothing more incredible than watching someone or something that nobody knows about transform into a household name/ brand. Your best Hollywood memory in general? As cheesy as it sounds, just waking up each day with the sun shining and looking out at the palm trees, mountains and Hollywood sign (I can see it from my patio) are the best moments. It really gives you the energy to get your day/work started and going on a positive note. But other

“Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing a client who started with myself as pretty much a “nonamer”, who the media didn’t really care to chat about, and seeing them with my help and guidance grow over the months into an “in-demand” name…” than that cheese, my best Hollywood moments are the times when everything comes together with a client and your strategic plans for them and they pick up the phone to say a simple, “Thank-you” to you... It really is a humbling and satisfying moment. Your worst one? I don’t really have a “worse one” just because I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and even with a negative experience you can learn from it to make changes for how you approach or deal with things moving forward. There have been times (without naming names), especially in Hollywood, where some individuals have lied or gone back on their word, which created some issues, but that’s the name of the game here, and it’s all about pushing forward and creating a positive out of whatever those people have done. With all the new technologies & social networks, the job of PR has really evolved during the last years no? Yes, with all the new social media and technologies, PR has changed a lot! We no longer have to wait a few weeks/months for a magazine article to come out, we can get news broken online and have our clients connect with their demographic

and fans at a moments notice. I love social media and the online world, and I think it makes PR even more fun because there are just so many more avenues you can approach when working towards making the public aware. Sometimes, is it frustrating to work in the shadow of all those stars? Never. If I wanted to be a star I could have stuck with radio or gone into acting myself, but I choose PR because I love it and I have a passion for it. As I mentioned before, I love watching an individual or a business grow and achieve way more than their original goals they put in place. Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing a client who started with myself as pretty much a “nonamer”, who the media didn’t really care to chat about, and seeing them with my help and guidance grow over the months into an “in-demand” name… It’s such a rewarding process to watch and experience first-hand. Plus, the “P” in Public Relations is for Perks, and let me tell you, there are a lot of fun events and things we get to experience that just are an added bonus to our jobs. Who are your biggest client/clients? We handle some of your favorite stars, brands, products, musicians, and a whole lot more… I hate name-dropping, so if people are curious,

“I see our firm Lexicon Public Relations growing and expanding even more, and changing the lives of our current clients as we move them forward. We’ve just opened up a Fashion and Lifestyle Division and a Sports Division, so it’s a very exciting time for everyone and it’s crazy how quickly and fast things in this industry change...”

they can check out our website at http://www. LexiconPublicRelations.com and see some of our clients and past work – or if you are an actor, look us up on IMDB. What advices can you give to young people who want to work in that field? My advice is to take some media and marketing courses in school, but to also find a firm that relates to where you see yourself going and start interning. There is nothing more powerful than knowledge and first-hand experience, so my advice is to just learn, watch, do, and network your butt off without burning any bridges. PR is all about strategic planning with clients, but you need to network and work towards gaining valuable media and business contacts in order to succeed. As I tell my clients, you can be the best actor or have the best product, but if nobody knows about you/it does it really matter? And that’s where PR comes into place! Best way to define yourself is... I like to see myself as a hard-working, approachable, trustworthy and passionate guy. How do you see yourself 10 years from now? I see our firm Lexicon Public Relations growing and expanding even more, and changing the lives of our current clients as we move them forward. We’ve just opened up a Fashion and Lifestyle Division and a Sports Division, so it’s a very exciting time for everyone and it’s crazy how quickly and fast things in this industry change, so I can only imagine what 10 years, let alone another 1 year will bring. On a personal note, I hope in 10 years I’m married with kids. Now I just need to find that lucky lady! As a professional living in Hollywood... Do the paparazzi come too far in their job? What do you think about it? The only time I have an issue with paparazzi is when they hound someone who is carrying or walking with a young child or are chasing a celeb who is driving (just look at what has happened with Princess Diana or a paparazzi himself dying by chasing Justin Bieber’s car). In Hollywood, everybody knows the various spots that paparazzi hangout at, so if you don’t want attention, there are many places you can go to avoid it. However, if you do have a run-in with the paps, it’s best to make the most of it and use them to your advantage. A lot of them are hardworking, nice guys, and if you take that minute to just stop and smile, they will (usually) show you more respect in the future and even help you when you need the help.

Everyone is a dreamer. Unfortunately for the human race no one is ever content.

What is your definition of BEAUTY? My definition of beauty is being comfortable in your own skin. Beauty comes in all colors & shapes & sizes. Acknowledging that you are an original is beauty. How long have you been in the modeling industry? I just started modeling about 6 months ago. So I’m pretty new to the industry although I have worked on some pretty big projects in such little time. I hope to continue to build onto my modeling career. At what point in your life did you know that you wanted to be a model? I actually never wanted to model. I am a law student that was always told I was too pretty to sit behind a book & a desk. So one day I decided to give it a try & fell in love with the game. Tell us how you are unique compared to other models. what do you bring to the modeling industry? I am unique in the sense that I bring a whole new bag of tricks to the table. I am an all natural model from my hair to my body down to little things like my nails. I believe you should embrace what you were given and make it work for you. industry I have ever encountered. Also being intelligent in general & being able to hold your own doesn’t hurt.

I would like to successfully brand myself in an inspirational way to other women.

How is the modeling industry in your area? Do you feel that there are a lot of opportunities for young upcoming models ? Well living & being from New York City competition is inevitable. Everyone wants to be a model or thinks they are a model so it is very competitive. There are opportunities out there but in this industry it is in all actuality who you know. Is Modeling your full time job ? I have recently made modeling my full time job. I had a job as a manager for 4 years that I decided to quit because I wasn’t happy to pursue something that did make me happy. I finally found that thing, it’s modeling. How many tattoos you got ? & which is your favorite one? I have 5 tattoos. They are all in pretty well hidden places. I feel like being subtle is sexy. My favorite tattoos have to be my stars in what I call my naughty zone because you can’t see them unless I want you to or were being intimate. They are sexy & a nice surprise. For you, what characteristics are the most important to succeed in this industry? the characteristics that you need in this industry is determination & a thick skin. This industry is the most cut throat industry I have ever encountered. Also being intelligent in general & being able to hold your own doesn’t hurt.

Who would you say is the personn that did really inspire you? in terms of modeling, Adriana Lima. I always wanted to take awesome pictures like she does, which seems so effortless to her. She’s so delicate in everything that she does which gives it so much sex appeal. In terms of life my family has always been my number one motivation. I know that whether I make it far or not they will be there to support me. Do you plan on going into other things like acting? Singing? What are your other talents? well I do not think I can sing but then again there is autotune now so who knows. Haha. But acting is something I believe I would be very good at. I am why people call a chameleon, I can be anything you need me to be when you need it. I am also a dancer and a gymnast from a very young age. What do you do in your spare time when you are not modeling? in my spare time I am usually outdoors. I am a very adventurous person so I’m either enjoying nature in my hometown or traveling. I am away 4 to 6 months out of every year that I dedicate to travel. Oh yea & I have a dog so that takes up a lot of my time as well but it’s not a bad thing. For the fans, are you single? I am very much single. I have not found the right person that can handle my lifestyle, that of a model, and also compliment me in terms of success or at least drive. If I feel like we can both push each other to be better & better that’s when I’ll find my dream person. What body part of yours attracts the most attention? Well usually my butt attracts the most attention. Since I have such a small frame & it’s pretty decent size for my build people always ask if it’s fake. Which it isn’t but I’m flattered every time I guess it’s so nice it looks fake haha. If you had to sleep with one woman who would it be? Michelle Rodriguez hands down no second thoughts. Tell us something your parents don’t know about you… My parents aren’t all up in my business to start so I’m pretty sure they don’t know quite a few things. But I’m sure of everything that I’m doing so I know at the end of the day they will be proud. Since i already graduated college they don’t complain, I know they are happy. If not happy at least satisfied. What is your secret fantasy? I’ve never really role played so I think that would be something definitely on my bucket list. Lets do that & be on an island also.
