77 ANS D'ÉMOTIONS

Depuis 1946, le Festival de Cannes et le Carlton Cannes tissent un lien indéfectible, parsemé de rêves et de paillettes. De Grace Kelly à Brad Pitt, en passant par Robert de Niro, Sean Connery ou encore Sophia Lauren… Le palace mythique a déroulé son tapis rouge à de nombreuses étoiles internationales, qui ont laissé dans leur sillage une empreinte indélébile. Lieu de rencontre privilégié, l’icône de la Riviera s’apprête à vibrer au rythme d’une nouvelle édition, promettant des instants feutrés gravés dans la légende du festival le plus glamour du monde.

77 YEARS OF EMOTION. Since 1946, the Cannes Film Festival and the Carlton Cannes have forged an unbreakable bond, dotted with dreams and sparkling glitter. From Grace Kelly to Brad Pitt via Robert de Niro, Sean Connery and Sophia Lauren…, the legendary palace has rolled out its red carpet for many international stars who have left indelible marks in their wake. A privileged setting for very special gatherings, the icon of the Riviera is preparing to keep pace with a new edition, promising intimate moments to be engraved in the legend of the world's most glamorous festival.

LA PRÉSIDENTE DU JURY

C'est une consécration pour la cinéaste, scénariste et actrice américaine Greta Gerwig. À seulement 40 ans, elle est la première femme américaine à présider le jury du Festival de Cannes.

En moins de 15 ans et seulement quatre longs métrages, elle a su s'imposer comme une figure incontournable du 7e art. Son dernier film, Barbie, a atteint les sommets du box-office mondial, confirmant son talent et sa popularité.

Worthy consecration for American moviemaker, writer and actress Greta Gerwig. Aged just 40, she is the first American woman to preside over the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. In less than 15 years and only four feature films, she has made her mark as a key figure in the 7th Art. Her last film, "Barbie", topped box-office charts worldwide, confirming her talent and popularity.

The Jury for the 77th Festival de Cannes includes Turkish screenwriter and photographer Ebru Ceylan, American actress Lily Gladstone, French actress Eva Green and Lebanese director and screenwriter Nadine Labaki, as well as Spanish director and screenwriter Juan Antonio Bayona, Italian actor Pierfrancisco Favino, Japanese director Kore-eda Hirokazu, and French actor and producer Omar Sy.

Après des études de littérature anglaise et de philosophie à New York, Greta Gerwig se tourne vers le cinéma. En 2007, elle co-écrit et joue dans Hannah Takes the Stairs réalisé par Joe Swanberg, avant de co-réaliser avec lui Nights and Weekends l’année suivante. S'imposant comme une figure du cinéma indépendant américain, elle réalise en 2017 son premier long métrage, Lady Bird, qui rencontre un succès unanime. Sa relecture des Quatre Filles du docteur March confirme son talent en 2019, tout comme Barbie en 2023. Ses films, souvent portés par des personnages libres et marginaux, questionnent avec finesse les problématiques de notre époque, de l'émancipation féminine aux tourments familiaux en passant par le passage à l’âge adulte. Greta Gerwig est aujourd’hui une icône incontournable à Hollywood et dans le monde entier, bousculant les lignes d’une industrie cinématographique codifiée.

After studying English literature and philosophy in New York, Greta Gerwig turned her attention to the cinema. In 2007, she co-wrote and acted in Hannah Takes the Stairs directed by Joe Swanberg, before co-directing Nights and Weekends with him, the following year. Recognized as a leading figure in independent American cinema, she directed her first feature film, Lady Bird (2017), which met with unanimous success. In 2019, her re-reading of Little Women confirmed her talent, just like Barbie in 2023. Often portraying free and marginal characters, her movies address the issues of our era with finesse, from women's emancipation to family conflicts, and coming of age. Greta Gerwig is now a key icon in Hollywood and the world over, shaking up a code-bound film industry.

Cette année, Albane Cléret s’associe au chef triplement étoilé du restaurant Mirazur à Menton, Mauro Colagreco, pour une expérience gastronomique unique. Ensemble, ils donnent vie à un restaurant éphémère où les saveurs se marieront dans une danse exquise.

This year, Albane Cléret joins forces with Mauro Colagreco, three-starred chef from the Mirazur restaurant in Menton, for a unique gastronomic experience. Together, they bring to life an ephemeral restaurant where flavors blend in an exquisite dance.
