We made it! What a year it’s been! I look back on 2011 and see 12 issues in 12 months. Frankly, going monthly was kind of

scary. Heck it was definitely scary. But we made it and are still going strong and expect 2012 to be even better. But we’re not going weekly in 2012!

November’s ratings Drum roll please! The five top articles in the November 2011 issue are: 4.5 – Rochester Coal Deliveries 4.5 – Up the Creek - Upper Bear Creek Gets Water, part 2 4.5 – Kitbashing a Central Valley truss 4.3 – Engine house - Kato paint removal 4.3 – DCC Impulses - More of the basics Issue overall: 4.5

Many thanks to those who rated articles – the more who vote, the better idea we have of what you, our readers, would like to see. This is your chance to have your voice heard!

The Kindle Fire’s 7” screen is too small to show the entire page, but a quick flick of the finger moves the page up so you can see the rest of it.

MRH on Kindle Fire Amazon’s full-color Kindle Fire has been released for $199, making it the most affordable tablet you can get for reading Model Railroad Hobbyist. MRH puts the Kindle Fire through its paces here in this video on YouTube: youtube/ watch?v=MyoeMn6Y7RI.

Kindle Fire with a MRH cover. We’re pleased to say the MRH text is generally readable without zooming, but a pinch out gesture zooms you in quickly if you do need the text enlarged.
