FROM T HE HEAD OF SCHOOL During the holiday seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we often look back upon the year that was – and what a year it has been! We have so much for which to be thankful this year at Mount Paran Christian School. God continues to bless our community, as we have seen great success in the classroom, on the ballfields, on stage, and throughout the greater Cobb County and Atlanta communities. We have witnessed students who have made a difference in the life of our school through service and leadership, and we have seen teachers impacting the lives of their students daily. This past year also marked a victorious end to the Imagine Tomorrow campaign. Phase three saw us realize our goal of raising more than $12 million toward the new Murray Innovation Center, upon which we will break ground this coming spring. Likewise, we realized our goal of raising nearly $32 million throughout the three phases of the campaign. Those are amazing numbers! As such, we are thankful for you — our supporters, our donors, our family. Our school is what it is because of the commitments of the time, talent, and treasure of this close-knit community. We stand on the shoulders of the giants who have come before us; the women and men who had the faith to start our school, to build this campus, and to invest their hearts and souls into the lives of previous generations. Like them, you answered the call to give, to serve, to volunteer, and to lead by faith. Like them, you have provided resources and time so that our children may learn, serve, and give back. We are blessed beyond measure to be a part of a community that seeks to impact the world for the future – and for all eternity. IMAGINED
M
MPCS HAS COMPLETED A HISTORIC CAMPAIGN TO “IMAGINE TOMORROW!” GOD HAS BIG PLANS FOR MPCS. You did it! Your imagination, generous hearts, and God’s tremendous blessings have combined to make the Murray Innovation Center a reality for our bright, committed, and God-honoring students. You Imagined... a technologically-enhanced environment for expanded course offerings in every academic discipline to accommodate the tremendous growth of our student body — nearly doubling the size of the current high school building to open new opportunities for learning success. Since MPCS moved to its current location 16 years ago, the high school has experienced tremendous growth in enrollment (138 in 2003, 450 in 2019), all while housed primarily in Dozier Hall, which was designed to accommodate just 250 students. The space demands created by increased enrollment and a shifting curricular emphasis urgently requires a state-of-the-art innovation center addition, providing needed facilities and environments for 21st-century learning. The center will be equipped to academically prepare our young servant-leaders for tomorrow’s jobs. And, as a result of your gifts, we are scheduled to break ground in spring 2020. You Gave Generously… after twelve years and three ambitious projects, you gave sacrificially to the mission of Mount Paran Christian School to complete the final $12M goal, and ultimately a $31.7M overall campaign. We are forever grateful for the generous and faithful giving of our parents, staff, grandparents, alumni, trustees, supporting foundations, and corporate partners. You

At the root, this campaign has never been about buildings. It is about your joint vision to make more innovative learning possible for our students! We thank you and thank God for providing “...more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20)! For God’s Glory... growing young people into Christ-following adults takes extraordinary intentionality. When acquisition of knowledge and biblical principles are intertwined in every aspect of a child’s development, young learners become grounded, confident, and mature Christian adults who understand joy-filled purpose and calling. That is why MPCS exists and why an MPCS education is so profoundly meaningful – for college, life, and eternity. As we turn our focus to the construction of the Murray Innovation Center and Dozier Hall renovations, our prayer is that we are faithful stewards of the Lord’s blessings to forever benefit the students of MPCS. Dear Fellow Mount Paran Christian School Grandparents, I am grateful that Sarah Grace attends Mount Paran Christian School where she is receiving a quality education from teachers who genuinely care about the youth they teach. M A K I N G A N M P C S E D U C AT I O N P O S S I B L E Georgia’s state legislature has significantly invested in the Education Expense Tax Credit program by expanding the cap from $58M to $100M in 2019. As a result, tax payers can now pass along fuller contributions that will help students right here within our own community. Thanks to the support of 156 MPCS GOAL supporters, MPCS was able to secure $558,475 in 2019 for further student assistance. With these beneficial additional resources, 58 academically qualified, mission-fit students were able to attend MPCS and receive a Christ-centered education.

All 2020 education tax credit applications must be received by December 31, 2019. Single individuals may apply for any amount up to $1,000 tax credit. Married filing jointly individuals may apply for up to $2,500 tax credit, and individuals with ownership in S-corps, LLCs or partnerships (pass through entities) may apply for any amount up to $10,000 per owner in education tax credits.
