04 Power FPM375 Power Upgrade Kit

The Ford Performance by mountune FPM375 power upgrade boosts power from 350PS to 375PS and increases torque from 470Nm to 510Nm (on overboost). Power is boosted to 380PS from 350PS, whilst torque is increased from 470Nm to 530Nm (on overboost), which is enough to deliver a sub-4.5 second dash to 62mph! In addition to the M380 calibration, the mTune handset is also supplied with two additional calibrations with bespoke audible optimisation of the mountune axle-back exhaust (Road optimised with pops and bangs and also a track mode that removes the pops completely). An anti-theft mode has also been included.

08 Power M400 Power Upgrade Kit Focus RS Mk3

The mountune M400 power upgrade fully optimises the performance available from the 2.3-litre EcoBoost, whilst running a standard turbo. By utilising a selection of fully proven mountune hardware - some of which endorsed by Ford themselves, to help lower charge temperatures, improve pressure drops and remove back-pressure, the engine is now able to operate more efficiency, allowing the impressive peak 400PS and 560Nm power and torque output to be more safely, and reliably achieved. As with all mountune power upgrade kits, M400 is available as a complete power upgrade from standard, but equally continues the modular approach, allowing owners to add the required hardware in stages, before culminating in what’s undoubtedly the most well-rounded performance upgrade available, that retains the standard turbocharger. From both years and hundred’s of thousands of miles of product development and durability testing of the RS-spec 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, mountune’s knowledgebase is unequalled regarding the engine and also, the calibrations strengths and limitations. It’s from this rich test bed of data that M400 has been formed, pushing the envelope of performance as far as possible. Upgrading hardware that would otherwise be beyond its safe operating point to ensure maintainable, repeatable performance and calibrating to retain the maximum possible drivability, and ultimately, reliability. 10 Power Induction Kit Focus RS Mk3

mountune’s engineers have developed a revised low-loss cast aluminium crossover pipe that maximises the package space available and improving intake air flow directly into the turbocharger. Recommended in applications surpassing the OE plastic components design limit of 400bhp, the mountune upgraded cast aluminium variant adds reliability to all big power Focus ST and RS builds, together with a host of useful additional features. Available in two versions, the standard option allows owners to take advantage of the high-flow internals, optional, additional map sensor location and a port for either a mechanical boost gauge, or for water injection. The XTRM version incorporates the features above, but in addition, also has been engineered to house four optimally located PFI / methanol injectors for applications requiring additional fuelling demands. The mountune boost hose upgrade kit features wire-reinforced, nomex lined smooth bore hoses and is available in three colours to compliment.

The mountune charge pipe upgrade kit for mk3 Focus RS boasts an improvement in pressure drop, is easy to install and comes with three different hose colour options.

During extensive durability testing, turbo outlet temperatures were recorded in excess of 180º, which is the safe operating limit for OE and polyester-lined silicone hoses. The mountune boost hose kit utilises a Nomex lining on both hot-side hoses which operate reliably upto 250º, giving substantially improved resistance to failing when power output is increased beyond standard.

Power 13 Hard Pipe

Intercooler

The mountune lower intercooler hard pipe upgrade directly replaces the restrictive factory variant, improving the pressure drop by 2.4Kpa.

The mountune alloy intercooler upgrade includes everything you need to optimise the performance of your mk3 Focus RS and is the foundation for further power upgrades.

Easy to install, it’s also compatible with the mountune highperformance silicone boost hose kit, or the original intercooler coupling hoses.

Using a 11-row extruded lightweight tube and fin alloy core with cast alloy end tanks for improved flow characteristics, the mountune alloy intercooler upgrade gives a substantial reduction in air charge temperature (ACT) with minimal pressure drop, ensuring optimum charge air temperature and therefore power.

The mountune uprated turbo recirculating valve (TRV) is a direct replacement for the OE component.

The mountune ni-resist cast turbo elbow mounting kit has been engineered to allow the easy installation of upgraded turbochargers on the mk3 Focus RS.

A diaphragm-design recirculation valve could function less effectively when the pressure differential across the turbocharger compressor housing is increased above the original operating conditions.

Cast from ni-resist to withstand extreme temperatures and duty cycles, the kit includes a special multi layer, high temperature gasket and mounting hardware.

With increased boost pressure, compressor-out temperatures can exceed the safe operating limit of the OE valve. The mountune TRV is engineered to withstand much greater temperatures whilst maintaining performance, making it an essential upgrade for cars running increased boost.

Sound Supression Chamber Focus RS Mk3

The Mk3 Focus RS produces some fantastic noises, but some cars also exhibit a ‘whistle’ either on idle or during light throttle openings. As airflow and power output is increased, this noise becomes exacerbated so cars that seemingly didn’t whistle, appear to, with this incorrectly associating the issue with the part that’s increasing the airflow. Despite its simple appearance, the mountune pioneered SSC’s dimensions, materials used and internal configuration all play a crucial part in cancelling out this unwanted NVH / ‘whistle’. • Cancels out ‘whistle’ / unwanted NVH • Anodised • Nomex lined hose • Available in Black, Light Blue or Grey hose colours.

16 Power Closed Deck Block Mod Focus RS Mk3 The 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine found in the Focus RS runs an open deck style of block. With the ‘deck’ referring to the mating surface between the top of the block and the head. This open design is a potential weak point and much more likely to fail with higher power / torque outputs. To address this, and to enable reliable, high power Focus RS engine builds, mountune have engineered a closed deck block modification to turn the open deck design, into a closed deck. The price includes the machining work to a donor block, deck plate and skimming of the deck / honing of the cylinder bores accordingly. It does not include the block itself. Recommended in conjunction with the uprated mountune highperformance conrods and forged pistons, (shown for illustration). Please note: New blocks are currently unavailable from Ford. Please contact us for pricing to remove your engine from the vehicle and carry out this modification.

Power 17 Forged Piston Set

The mountune Focus RS EcoBoost forged piston set has been designed in-house by mountune Racing.

Made in the USA by Carrillo to our specifications. Features include a robust, I – Beam configuration with extensive machining to optimize weight without reducing strength. All edges and corners are also radiused to improve durability.

Featuring an enlarged 23mm gudgeon pin to address a known area of weakness, the pistons are manufactured exclusively for mountune in the US by MAHLE Motorsport utilising its 4032 grade alloy. This alloy was chosen by mountune’s engine designers not only for its strength and durability, but also because of its high-silicone content, low-expansion properties. This means that a tighter piston to bore clearance can be used, which will result in a tighter seal and less noise when the engine is cold. In addition to this, the piston skirts have also been treated with MAHLE’s patented Grafal coating to reduce drag and friction in the cylinder bore, and also help to reduce some of the noise often associated with forged pistons.

As an added upgrade, mountune connecting rods feature machined tangs to securely locate the rod bearings. Tool steel connecting rod bolts are also superior to most bolts found in other rods on the market. Silicone/bronze pin bushings provide a durable and low friction surface that remains dimensionally stable in high pressure and high RPM applications. For use with mountune forged pistons and other pistons that use 23mm wrist pins.

18 Power V3 Cat-Back Exhaust Focus RS Mk3 The mountune V3 Exhaust for the Mk3 Focus RS is the result of countless hours of engineering and ongoing product development, offering a product that is simply unrivalled in terms of performance, sound and features. Extensive effort was placed on producing a sound profile that replicated the personality of the RS with an aggressive note under full throttle, while maintaining a drone free experience during cruising and light throttle. Available without valve (BA).

Features include a large diameter 5” motorsport-type, 200 cell count metal substrate honeycomb catalyst, to ensure effective, ultra high flow performance in extreme environments. Additionally, robust OEtype mounting brackets and hangers are utilized to maintain perfect alignment and OE-like fitment. Also incorporated is an 8” stainless steel flex section to help absorb shock and prevent OE hanger failure. Supplied with adaptor sleeve to suit either the OE cat-back or mountune cat-back exhaust. Revised engine calibration will be required for optimal performance and may emit the EML without it.

Produced from 304 series, 3” mandrel bent stainless steel tubing, the mountune V3 Exhaust also includes many features used in motorsport applications; each tube joint is connected by either V-Band or custom double slip-joint, ensuring the best seal possible while maintaining adjustability and lightness. Recommended to fit in conjunction with our Mk3 Focus RS Cat Back Exhaust.

Power 19 Oil Control System Focus RS Mk3

The mountune Oil Control System for the Mk3 Focus RS includes a modified OE sump pan, baffled oil sump insert and balancer shaft delete. Validated under extreme circuit conditions, the oil sump insert developed by mountune’s racing division, features one-way gates and diverters to maintain oil supply around the oil pump pick-up.

Roll Restrictor Focus RS Mk3

The mountune Focus RS roll restrictor reduces the amount of engine roll / movement during hard acceleration and gear changing, especially when the power’s increased. mountune’s Stage 1 Focus RS gearbox upgrade offers the ability to cope with greatly increased power / torque outputs and improves traction, whilst maintaining maximum reliability. The gearbox is available as an assembled, new unit, or on an exchange basis (with a fully-working donor gearbox). To further improve the mountune Stage 1 gearbox’s strength and to help improve drivability and enhance traction further, a Quaife ATB differential is also fitted as part of the upgrade. • • • •

The mountune billet short-shift arm for the mk3 Focus RS replaces the OE shift arm located on the gearbox. This is the perfect brake pad for track days, hill climbs and racing applications where performance and resistance to brake fade is paramount.

The Pilot Sport Cup 2 features the distribution of two different compounds between the Exterior and Interior parts of the tread. The exterior section uses a “High Molecular Chain” elastomer of the right hardness for high grip; offering exceptional dry grip in tight bends. The interior uses a more rigid elastomer for precise steering and driving control.
