Literacy program hires new program director Raising a Reader, a Mountain View-based national nonprofit, announced this week that Holly Kreider, has joined the organization as the new director of early childhood literacy programs in its national office. In her new position, Kreider will lead various efforts within the organization related to childhood literacy, education and development, such as research, grant writing, strategic planning, and management of the program.

Kreider’s experience in the education field spans a wide variety of projects, both in applied research and executive leadership. Before joining Raising a Reader, she was vice president of research and communication at Sociometrics Corporation, and led research projects involving children at risk or with developmental disabilities.
