As'a'young'teenager'Espinoza'became' inspired'to'help'his'community'when' he'joined'an'organization'called'Search' to'Involve'Pilipino'Americans'(SIPA),'a' Filipino'Americans'by'providing'health'and' human'services. “Working'with'SIPA,'it'showed'me' “'Espinoza'said.'“They'are'there'to'service' people'who'have'not'been'treated'fairly' who'have'been'given,'at'a'young'age,' lesser'opportunities'in'other'societies.” Espinoza,'22,'along'with''Gabriel' Castillo,'Rhaymark'Neri,'Lauren'Adolfo,' Ammonatt'Ladas,'Sylvia'Rodriguez,' and'Ken'Wong'started'The'Last'Minute' Art'Collective'(LMAC),'an'organization' based'in'Baldwin'Park.'The'collective' started'on'July'22,'2012.'The'purpose'of' the'collective'showcasing'art'is'to'raise' money'for'organizations'with'causes'and' to'create'small'art'scholarships'for'local' high'schools. “Juan'was'a'passionate'young' worker'and'friend'Beverly'Yanuria'said.'
