I have the honor to represent Estonia and the Estonian motorsport in the world and I am feeling proud. The results of our racers at international title events are brilliant and I can see that the development is continuing. Yesterday’s aces have inspired today’s top drivers, and today’s top drivers know they are being followed by tens of thousands of pairs of eyes waiting for a great outcome. The Estonian Grand Prix is an excellent event, where in addition to cars, extremely fast motorcycles are also racing and this gives a special touch to the weekend. Austatud auto- ja motospordihuvilised! Juba kuuendat korda toimub Pärnus, auto24ringil Eesti suurim rahvusvaheline autode-ja mootorrataste ringrajavõistlus Estonian Grand Prix 2019. Ma olen õnnelik, et korraldustiimi pingeline ettevalmistus on õnnestunud. Meie meeskonnas on suurte kogemustega vahvad inimesed, kellega oleme kõik need 6 aastat ühist vankrit vedanud. Aitäh abilistele! Sel aastal viime lisaks Põhja-Europa tsooni, Baltimaade- ja Eesti meistrivõistluste etapile taaskord läbi ka Soome meistrivõistluste etapi autode ringrajasõidus. Suurt kaalu omab taaskord mootorrataste Eesti meistrivõistluste etapp, kus lisaks oma maa parimatele sõitjatele osaleb mitmeid väga kiireid motomehi naaberriikidest. Meie Suur Võidusõit on aasta-aastalt naaberriikides üha suuremat tuntust kogunud, sest lisaks kõrgetasemelisele võistlusele oleme alati pakkunud pealtvaatajatele palju muudki. Olgu see Koguperelaat, kontserdid, toredad lastealad, erinevad esitlused jne. Igaühele midagi! Tean, et võidusõit ei ole odav ala ning selle massilisust ei saa võrrelda jalgrattaspordi või jalgpalliga, kuid julgen väita, et põnevus võidusõidurajal mootorimürina saatel on midagi sellist, mis jääb kauaks meelde. Siinkohal tänan kõik toetajad ja koostööpartnereid, kes on mootorispordile vähemalt oma sõrme andnud - abi sellest on väga suur. Soovin kõikidele võistlejatele, meeskondade liikmetele, pealtvaatajatele ja koostööpartneritele vägevaid sportlikke elamusi ning mõnusat tuju! Dear car and motorcycle racing enthusiasts! It is already the sixth time that the Estonian Grand Prix 2019, the biggest international car and motorcycle racing event in Estonia takes place. I am glad that the sometimes stressful preparation of the event by the organizing team has been successful. Our team has great, experienced members, with whom we’ve been carrying that load all these 6 years. Thanks to the helpers! This year, in addition to the North European Zone, the Baltic and Estonian championship rounds, we will once again organize a round of the Finnish Car Racing Championship. Once again, it is important that a round of the Estonian Road Racing championship for motorcycles is also present, where in addition to the best riders of Estonia, there are also several very fast motorists from neighboring countries. Our Estonian Grand Prix has gathered popularity in the neighboring countries year after year, because besides the high level competition we have always offered a lot more to the spectators. Be it the fair for the family, concerts, great children’s areas, different presentations, etc. Something for everybody! I know that motorsports is an expensive discipline, and its spread cannot
be compared to cycling or football, but I dare say that the thrill of racing on a car or a motorbike is something that will be remembered for a long time. At this point, I would like to thank all the supporters and cooperation partners who have given at least their „finger“ to motorsports - this is a great help. Mootorisport ei ole mitte ainult rahvuslik, vaid väga rahvusvaheline spordiala. Soome mootorispordil, eriti autovõidusõidul, on hiilgav ajalugu ja tänapäev, kuid me ei saa jääda võistlema vaid kodupinnale. Naaberriikides toimuvad võistlused pakuvad Soome võidusõitjatele hinnalist rahvusvahelist kogemust ning vaheldust mõistlike kulude juures. Oluline on omavahel ühtlustada praktikaid ja reegleid, et võistlejatel tekiks rohkem võimalusi osaleda välisriikides toimuvatel põnevatel võistlustel. Soomes peagi valmiv Kymi Ring ringrada muudab meid samuti atraktiivsemaks rahvusvaheliste võistluste toimumiskohaks ja välisvõistlejatele huvipakkuvaks sihtkohaks. Motorsport is not only national but it is very international. Finland has a great heritage and present in motorsport, especially in car racing, but we cannot rely on competing on home soil alone. Races in neighbouring countries give the Finnish drivers valuable international experience and variation at reasonable costs. It is essential to harmonize practices and rules in order to create more opportunities for the drivers to participate in interesting events abroad. With the new Kymi Ring circuit nearing completion, Finland will also become a more attractive host to international events and a destination to foreign drivers. Suurejoonelisim motoringrajavõistlus Eestis Estonian Grand Prix on kahtlemata suurejoonelisim motoringrajavõistlus Eestis. Minul Eesti Mootorrattaspordi Föderatsiooni presidendina on ääretult hea meel, et teist aastat avaneb motoringraja klassidel võimalus sellel suurepäraselt korraldatud võistlusel autode kõrval kaasa lüüa. Leian, et autode ja mootorrataste toomine samale võistlusele ühendab kahte väga lähedast ala. Mõlemad võistlejad, meeskonnaliikmed ja fännid saavad üksteisega tutvuda ja teineteise kogemusest õppida. On ju ka paljud meie tehnikaspordi suurnimed tegelenud omal ajal nii auto kui motoga, võtame kasvõi tänase võistluse peakorraldaja, Toivo Asmeri enda. Eriti suurt headmeelt tunnen aga meie motoringraja tuleviku Mini GP-100 klassi väikeste poiste ja tüdrukute osalemise üle Estonian Grand Prix’l. Vihurmoto klubi ja selle eestvedaja Marko Rohtlaan teevad meie ringrajajärelkasvu arendamisel hindamatut tööd. The most magnificent Road Racing event in Estonia Without a doubt the Estonian Grand Prix is the most magnificent Road Racing event in Estonia. As the president of the Estonian Motorcycling Federation, I am extremely pleased that for the second year, the motorcycle classes will be able to compete along with cars in this perfectly organized race. I find that having cars and motorcycles at the same competition brings together two very close disciplines. The competitors, team members and fans of both disciplines can get to know each other and learn from each other’s experiences. After all, many of our big names in the technical sports have been participating in both the car and the motorcycle races – let’s just name the main organizer of today’s competition, Toivo Asmer. However, I am particularly pleased with the participation of our Road Racing future, the small boys and girls of the Mini GP-100 class, at the Estonian Grand Prix. The Vihurmoto club and its leader Marko Rohtlaan are doing invaluable work in developing the next generation of motorsports. Watch these young riders, cheer them on and memorize the names: they will grow to become world champions! Vapratele ja teotahtelistele inimestele Sellist motot kannab Tallinnas Pirita tee ääres asuv maailma langevarjunduse pioneeri Charles Leroux mälestusmärk. 6. juunil paigaldati selle kõrvale pidulikult Ants Seileri pink. Ants Seiler (1930 - 1968), vapper ja teotahteline „mees, kes kihutas oma ajast ette“, nagu tema biograafia pealkirjastas autor Uno Aava, käivitas Eestis vormelautode tootmise, millel oli määratud saada üheks maailma suurimaks omal alal. Loomulikult ei osanud Seiler ega ka teised esimeste Estoniate loomises osalenud näha ette nii pikka, edukat ja mudelirikast lugu. Aastatel 1957-1958 valdavas osas Tallinna Autoremondi Tehase nr. 1 töötajate ühiskondliku tööga ehitatud esimene vormelauto Estonia-1 Seileri endaga roolis lõi oma esimesel võistlusel pikalt üle senikehtinud rajarekordi. Suhteliselt haruldane lugu võrreldes tänase päevaga, kus masinaid arendatakse pikalt ja esimesed testid ja võistlused lähevad reeglina toore auto tõttu aia taha. Aga omapäraselt edukas saatus jätkus esimesel Estonial ka peale võistlust. Hoolimata NSVL plaanimajanduse ülimalt määratud ja reguleeritud tingimustest ning vabaturu puudumisest tekkis koheselt nõudlus ja sellele järgnes ka tellimus – muude tehniliste alade seas mootorisporti kureerivalt ja toetavalt sõjaliselt organisatsioonilt ALMAVÜ (DOSAAF). Plaanimajanduse tingimustes oli paljudest asjadest puudus, aga NSVL Kaitseministeeriumi all töötava organisatsiooni tellimus andis võimaluse nii materjale kui agregaate ka plaaniväliselt hankida. Ime oligi sündinud. Rohujuuretasandil loodud projekt kasvas ja arenes hoolimata tagasilöökidest ja probleemidest. Estonia-3 mootorite tarneprobleemi tõttu oleks tehas peaaegu pankrotistunud. leidis lahenduse, kuidas edasi minna – ta jätkas arendus- ja ehitustööd Tartu Autode Remonditehases. Mõned aastad hiljem tekkis mitmel NSVL suurel tehasel mõte vormelite tootmine üle võtta. Tänu legendaarsetele abilistele - oma panuse andsid nii maailma teine kosmonaut German Titov kui marssal Semjon Budjennõi – jäi NSV Liidu varustamine vormelautodega siiski väikese Tallinna tehase kanda. Need probleemid võinuks nõrgemad rivist välja lüüa. Ants Seiler ja tema meeskond olid kõvemast puust. Ants Seileri hukkumine Bikernieki ringrajal võinuks anda ka Estoniate programmile fataalse löögi. Seda õnneks ei juhtunud. Oli välja kujunenud meeskond, mis suutis tööd jätkata ja leida uued eestvedajad, ideede generaatorid ja tegijad. Teatepulk oli edasi antud. Kokku toodeti Estonia kaubamärki kandvaid võidusõiduautosid 1331. Toodang jagunes 26 põhimudeli ja kokku 40 modifikatsiooni vahel.
Tippaastatel tuli praktiliselt igal aastal uus lahendus tehase väravast. Vabas maailmas oleks ilmselt autole antud idee autori ja teostaja nimi – Seiler. Nagu jäädvustasid oma nime mootorispordi ja autoehituse ajalukku Enzo Ferrari, Jack Brabham, John Surtees, Bruce McLaren ja paljud teised. Mitmed neist, ka Ants Seiler, andsid armastatud alale ka kõige kallima vara – oma elu. Ants Seileri mälestus elab tänaseni autoinseneride haridust toetavas Seileri fondis, tudengivormeli tegemistes ning loomulikult ka MOMU Mootorispordi muuseumis. Estoniate loomise ja tootmise lugu ning masinad ise on muuseumi nö kroonijuveeliks, nendest hakkas muuseum 1986. a. arenema ning aukohal on need nii täna kui ka tulevikus. Arno Sillat

4 küsimust: Hannes Soomer Ainsa Eesti motoringrajasõitjana Supersport klassi maailmameistrivõistlustel osaleva Hannes Soomeri jaoks on auto24ring kodurada, mis tema meelest esitab sõitjale tehniliselt suuri väljakutseid. Kuidas iseloomustad auto24ringi – mis on raja head ja vead? auto24ring on kindlasti lähiümbruse parim ringrada, ja ka kogu Euroopas täiesti arvestataval tasemel. Plussideks on väga ägedad ja omapärased kurvid. Võrdlemisi suured kalded ja üksteisele vahetult järgnevad kurvikompleksid teevad sõitmise põnevaks ja huvitavaks. Peab olema kõva sõidumees, et auto24ringil kiiresti sõita ja pelgalt võimsa masinaga kiiret ringiaega seal ei tule. Sellest ka 1000cc ja 600cc mootorrataste rekordite nii väike erinevus. Miinuseks, eriti võimsa mootorrattaga, on võib-olla see, et sirged on väga lühikesed ja puhkamisaega näiteks superbike’ga tegelikult ei ole. 15 ringi auto24ringil on füüsiliselt raskem, kui näiteks 25 ringi Aragonis. Inimestel on aga pigem põnevam vaadata tehnilist osa rajast kui lihtsalt sirgeid ja ka treenimise mõttes on pigem parem treenida keerulisemal rajal. Raske treeningul, kerge lahingus. Mis on sinu selle hooaja plaanid? Sellel hooajal sõidan kaasa Superspordi MM-sarja täishooaja ja üksikud etapid Eestis, üheks neist Suur Võidusõit.

Kirjelda 5 lausega oma võidusõitja teed. Esimene mootorratas tuli minu istumise alla, kui olin 4-aastane. Esimesele võidusõidule läksime Saksamaale, Sachsenringile, kus oli ADAC Minibike Cupi 2006. hooaja viimane etapp, kui olin 8-aastane. Sachsenring Junior Racing Schooli ja PZ Motorsport ridades sõitsin erinevates Saksa sarjades kuni 2012 hooajani, kus kogusin mitmeid etapivõite ja poodiumeid. Aastast 2013 kuni 2016 poole hooajani sõitsin European Junior Cup sarjas, kus võitsin kaks etappi ja olin kolm korda poodiumil. 2017 hooajal võitsin Racedays Honda meeskonnas Euroopa superspordi karikavõistlused, ja jätkan selles meeskonnas Superspordi maailmameistrivõistlustel tänaseni. Mida soovitaksid noorele kutile, kes oma võidusõitja karjääri alles alustab? Õpi alati teistelt nii palju kui võimalik. Isegi kui oled kõige kiirem sõitja rajal, on ikka kindlasti keegi, kes teeb kas mõnda kurvi või mõnda osa kurvist paremini kui sina, ja kellelt oleks midagi õppida. Kui sa aga ei ole kõige kiirem, ära süüdista mootorratast, vaid vaata, mida saad ise paremini teha ja siis tee.
4 questions: Hannes Soomer Hannes Soomer is the only Estonian who races at the World Supersport Championship. For him auto24ring is the home track which is technically very challenging for the rider. Please describe the auto24ring track – what do you like or not like about it? Without a doubt auto24ring is the best circuit in the vicinity, it is certainly on a considerable level in the whole of Europe. The advantages are the fabulous and peculiar corners of the track. The inclines are quite sharp and the complexes of the corners follow each other closely which make riding the circuit exciting and interesting. You must be a tough rider to be fast on auto24ring and you will not get a fast lap with only a very fast bike. That is the reason why the track records of the 1000cc and 600cc bikes differ so little. The disadvantage is probably that especially on a powerful bike there is no time to rest, because the straights are very short. 15 laps on auto24ring are physically more demanding than 25 laps at Aragon, for example. Still, for the spectators it is more interesting to watch a technical circuit than just racing on straights and purely for the training it is better to practice on a more demanding circuit. Hard in the training, easy in the battle.
Tell us about your racing career in 5 (or maybe a couple more) sentences. I got my first bike when I was 4 years old. My first race was in Germany, at the Sachsenring, where the 2006 ADAC Minibike Cup last round was held – I was 8 at the time. I raced various German series for the Sachsenring Junior Racing School and PZ Motorsport till 2012. I won several races and was on the podium several times. From 2013 till half of the 2016 season I participated in the European Junior Cup, where I won two rounds and was three times on the podium. In 2017 I won the European Supersport Cup as a member of the Racedays Honda team and continue with them at the Supersport World Championship. What advice would you give to a young kid who is only starting out as a racing driver? Always learn from others as much as you can. Even if you are the fastest rider on the track, there is certainly someone who takes a corner or a part of a corner better than you and from whom there is something to learn. Or if you are not the fastest, then don’t blame the bike, but see what you yourself could do better, and then do it.
What are your plans for this season? I do all the Supersport World Championship rounds this season and a few Estonian Championship races, one of them is the Estonian Grand Prix.

Sel aastal naaseb Holm auto24ringile Estonian Grand Prix’l ning jagab oma arvamust ringrajast ja räägib hooaja plaanidest. Mida arvad auto24ring ringrajast? Mis on sinu meelest raja tugevused ja/või nõrkused? Minu meelest on see väga hea ringrada. See ei ole tehniliselt kõige keerulisem rada, millel ma sõitnud olen, kuid see on kiire, mis mulle väga meeldib. auto24ringi juures ei meeldi mulle sugugi sealsed kurvipiirded. Mis on sinu selle hooaja plaanid? Plaanin teha kaasa mõned võidusõidud Eestis ja Lätis ning siis ka Taanis jm.
Please describe the auto24ring track – what do you like or not like about it? I think it’s a really nice track, it’s not technically the hardest course I’ve driven on, but it’s a fast track and that I like well. What I do not like about the auto24ring track is that the exit curbs are extremely bad. What are your plans for this season? I plan to run a couple of races in Estonia and Latvia and then on to Denmark etc. Tell us about your racing career in 5 (or maybe a couple more) sentences.
Palun kirjelda 5 lausega oma võidusõitja teed. Alustasin 4-aastaselt mootorrattaga. Kui sain 14, läksin üle võidusõiduautodele. Aastal 2002 hakkasin sõitma special saloon car klassis – olen aastate jooksul võitnud mitmeid võidusõite ja tiitleid.
I started when I was 4 years old as a motorcycle rider. When I was 14, I switched to a racing car. In 2002 I started driving a special saloon car – I have won several races and titles over time.
Mida soovitaksid noorele kutile, kes oma võidusõitja karjääri alles alustab? Alusta kardisõidust ja põhiteadmiste omandamisest. Pärast seda on küsimus ainult selles, kui kaua sa võidu sõita soovid ning kui palju sellele aega pühendad.
What advice would you give to a young kid who is only starting out as a racing driver? Start by running go-karts and learning the basic steps, then it is only a question of how long you want and how much time you want to put into racing.

Juha Nisula: Legends-autod armastavad auto24ringi ja Estonian Grand Prix’d! Legends-autod on osavõtjaterohkeim autoringrajaklass Soomes. Sel aastal on NEZ sari esimest korda ka Soome meistrivõistluste arvestuses ning üks osavõistlus toimub taas Estonian Grand Prix raames. Legends klassi juht Juha Nisula räägib klassi hetkeseisust ja sellest, miks Legends-autod armastavad auto24ringi. Kuidas Legends-autode sarjal hetkel läheb? Legends Cars sari on hetkel väga heas seisus. Meil on väga palju sõitjaid, üle 40. Osalejaid on mitte ainult Soomest, ka näiteks mõned lätlased löövad kaasa. Mulle teeb väga suurt rõõmu see, et sel aastal on meil 10 uut sõitjat, mis on tulevikku silmas pidades väga hea. Sarjas on kokku 15 etappi (viis võidusõidunädalavahetust, igaühel kolm võidusõitu). Sel aastal saab sarja võitja esimest korda ka Soome meistritiitli omanikuks. Millist nõu annaksid sa inimesele, kes alles alustab võidusõiduga – miks ta võiks valida Legends-autode klassi? Legends-autode klassis toimub äge võidusõit, siin ei ole asi niivõrd autos, vaid sul tuleb pidevalt pingutada, sest rajal toimub nii palju. Ka on Legends-autod suhteliselt taskukohased – peale auto omandamist on kulu hooaja vältel üsna madal. Pealekauba on selles sarjas osalev seltskond nagu üks suur pere, kõik aitavad üksteist ja veedavad mõnusalt aega!
Juha Nisula: the Legends love auto24ring and Estonian Grand Prix Legends Cars is the biggest road racing class for cars in Finland. This year the NEZ series will also be part of the Finnish Championship and one of the rounds will be held during the Estonian Grand Prix. The class leader Juha Nisula speaks about the current situation in the class and why the Legends love the auto24ring track. How is the Legends Cars series doing at the moment? The Legends Cars series is at a very good position at the moment. There are lots of drivers, more than 40. And not only Finnish drivers participate, there are also some Latvians, for example. What makes me very happy is the fact that there are 10 new drivers this year, which is very good for the future. There are altogether 15 rounds (five weekends, three races each weekend) in the series. This year for the first time the winner of the series will also win the Finnish Championship title.
Please describe the auto24ring track – what do you like or not like about it? The auto24ring track is unbelievably nice, very fast, I can’t explain it, but I and the Finnish people like to drive here a lot. The Estonian Grand Prix event is also great, it is like a carnival – we like it very much!
What advice would you give to a person who is only starting out as a racing driver - why should the choose the Legends Cars? In the Legends Cars you get excellent competition, it does not matter so much about the car, you have to race constantly because there is so much happening on the track. Also the Legends are quite inexpensive – after you have acquired the car the cost for the season is low. And, besides, the people in the series are like a big family, everybody is helping each other and having fun together!

4 küsimust: Valters Zviedris Valters Zviedris on üks kiiremaid ja lootustandvamaid noori võidusõitjaid Baltimaades. Ta on viiekordne Läti meister kardispordis. Eelmisel hooajal tuli ta NEZ meistrivõistlustel Legends Cars klassis kolmandaks ning sai Legends Cars maailma finaalvõistlusel Semi-Pro klassis teise koha. Kuidas iseloomustad auto24ringi – mis on raja head ja vead? Minu võidusõitja karjäär sai auto24ringil alguse ja ma naudin seda rada, kuna see on väga kiire. Võistluspäeval suurt hulka pealtvaatajaid näha on alati tore. Rada on kiire ja võimaldab võistluse ajal tihedalt konkurentide lähedal sõita ja põnevaid möödasõite teha. Mis on sinu selle hooaja plaanid? Tahan anda endast igas võidusõidus parima ning püüan võita Põhja-Euroopa meistrivõistlused. Olen alati ausa ja põneva võidusõidu poolt. Kirjelda 5 lausega oma võidusõitja teed. Alustasin kardisõiduga, kui olin alles 5-aastane ja võistlen neil endiselt. Ma ei suuda oma elu ilma võidusõidu ning kõigi nende häälte ja lõhnadeta ette kujutada. Mul ei saa kunagi küllalt, tahan pidevalt areneda ja sõita millegi kiiremaga. Ma olen proovinud F4 ja V8 Thundercari – nendega oli väga äge ja nauditav sõita, see oli minu jaoks suurepärane kogemus. Võistlemine Legend Cars klassis aitas mul aru saada, milline on „elu“ autoringrajas ning kuidas arukalt sõita. Kui sa soovid Legend Cars klassis kiire olla, pead sa kiiresti ja nutikalt sõitma, olema kannatlik ja kindlasti peab sul olema ka õnne. Mida soovitaksid noorele kutile, kes oma võidusõitja karjääri alles alustab? Minu soovitus on sõita, sõita ja veelkord sõita, sest keegi ei ole sündinud kõige paremaks. Selleks, et parimaks saada, tuleb teha palju tööd ja palju treenida, et kiiremaks saada.
4 questions: Valters Zviedris Valters Zviedris is one of the fastest and most promising young racing pilots in the Baltics. He has won the Latvian Karting Championship five times in his career. Last season he was third in the NEZ Legends Cars Championship and second in the Legends Cars World Finals Semi-Pro class.
Please describe the auto24ring track – what do you like or not like about it? I started my road racing career in auto24ring and I enjoy the track because it is very fast. I am always happy to see the big crowd of spectators on the race day. The track is fast and it allows close racing and interesting fights during the race.
What advice would you give to a young kid who is only starting out as a racing driver? I would suggest to drive and drive and drive because no one is born the best. To be the best, you need to put in much work and a lot of training to get better.
What are your plans for this season? My plans are to show the best I can do in every race and try to win the NEZ championship. I am always all for a fair and interesting race. Tell us about your racing career in 5 (or maybe a couple more) sentences. I started racing go-karts when I was just 5 years old and still race them. I can’t imagine myself without racing and all the sounds and smells. It’s never enough for me, I always want to grow and drive something faster. I have tested F4 and V8 Thundercar - I had so much fun and joy to drive them, it was a great experience for me. The Legend Cars racing helped me understand the road racing “life” and how to drive smart. If you want to be fast in Legend Cars, you need to be fast, smart, patient and of course lucky. Looking forward to the future, who knows how far I will get.

Kuidas iseloomustad auto24ringi – mis on raja head ja vead? Rada on väga hea ja huvitavate kurvidega. Hetkel kindlasti Põhjamaades üks paremaid ja värskemaid. Ainus miinus on võibolla see, et rada võiks olla pikem. Aga samas peame olema õnnelikud, et meil üldse on ringrada. Mis on sinu selle hooaja plaanid? Enda sõidu poolelt hetke seisuga muud polegi kui kaitsta Estonian Grand Prix võitu eelmisest kahest aastast. Üldisemalt aga, et meie EST 1 Racingu tiimis sõitjatel läheks ka sellel aastal hästi ja nad võidaksid oma klassides meistrititlid Palun kirjelda 5 lausega oma võidusõitja teed. Kuna isa oli omal ajal rallisõitja, siis see pisik tekkis paratamatult juba noores eas. Sõitma küll õppisin alles 11-aastaselt, mis täna võib tunduda juba liiga vana. Läksin Kullo autotrenni, kus Viktor Ditmani käe all sai alustatud erinevate jää- ja lumerajavõistlustega. Sealt edasi viis tee rallikrossi ja ringrajani. Mida soovitaksid noorele kutile, kes oma võidusõitja karjääri alles alustab? Siin oleks just oluline, et see “kutt” ise tahaks alaga tegeleda ja naudiks, tunneks rõõmu asjast. 4 questions: Raimo Kulli Raimo Kulli has won the Porsche GT3 class at the Estonian Grand Prix in the last two years. There is no doubt that he will be defending his title at this year’s race. Please describe the auto24ring track – what do you like or not like about it? It is a very good track with interesting corners. At the moment it is one of the best and freshest tracks in the Nordics. The only disadvantage is that the circuit could be a little longer. But at the same time we must be glad to have a circuit at all. What are your plans for this season? For my own racing there is not much else than to defend the win of the Estonian Grand Prix in the last two years. If we speak more generally, then the aim is that our EST 1 Racing team drivers will do well this year and win the championship titles in their classes.
Tell us about your racing career in 5 (or maybe a couple more) sentences. Since my father was a rally driver in his time, then I was quite inevitably hooked early in my life. True, I learned to drive only at the age of 11, which might seem very late by today’s standards. I went to the racing practice at the Kullo center, where the coach Viktor Ditman instructed us at various ice and snow racing events. From there I moved on to rally cross and circuit racing.
What advice would you give to a young kid who is only starting out as a racing driver? Here it is important that this “guy” himself would want do this and enjoy it, that it would make him happy. Today, unfortunately, there are parents who have missed their dream and who are pushing their children too much, which makes it hard for the children to enjoy the sport. Not all races and competitions have to be won, it is not even possible to win everything. The children should be allowed to do what delights them.

Toomas Lambin, korraldustoimkonna liige: Olen autospordiga tegelenud kuuendast eluaastast alates. Ise sõitnud võidu kardi ja vormeliga. Meeskonna juht alates 1998. aastast. Pikka aega olnud Eesti Autospordi Liidu ringrajakomitee liige. Suure Võidusõiduga olen seotud alates selle sünnist. Olnud abiks nõuandjana ja aidates kaasa korralduspoolel. Toomas Lambin, member of the Organizing Committee: I have been involved in autosports from when I was six years old. I myself have raced go-karts and formula cars. I have been the manager of a team since 1998. I am a longtime member of the Circuit Racing Committee of the Estonian Autosport Union. I have been part of the Estonian Grand Prix since the birth of the event. I have been giving my advice and been a member of the organizing committee. Priit Kurmiste, võistluste juht: Olen autospordiga seotud 19 aastat. Aastal 2000 kutsus sõber mind Pärnusse võistlust vaatama, siis sain esimest korda teada, et siin üldse ringrada on. Ja nii ma selle ala juurde jäin. 13 aastat olin ühe meeskonna juht, 2014 tulin kohtunike poolele. Estonian Grand Prix tiimis olen algusest peale, lisaks sellele mitmeid aastaid Põhja-Euroopa regiooni Vormel 4 klassi žürii esimees ja kuulusin ka EAL-i ringrajakomiteesse. Nüüd ei jõua ajaliselt kahjuks nende asjadega enam tegeleda.
Priit Kurmiste, Clerk of the Course: I have been part of the racing sport for 19 years. In the year 2000 a friend invited me to watch a race in Pärnu and then I found out for the first time that we have a circuit here. And this is how I was hooked with the sport. For 13 years I managed a racing team, in 2014 I changed over to the race officials side of events. I have been the clerk of the course of the Estonian Grand Prix since the beginning. On top of that I was the Jury President of the NEZ Formula 4 and also a member of the Road Racing Committee of the Estonian Autosport Union. Unfortunately I had to give up these positions due to lack of time. Ingrid Kiiver-Riisman, võistluste peasekretär: Ingrid on kõigile autospordiga kokku puutunud inimestele tuttav kardivõistlustelt, kus ta juba aastaid sekretariaadis töötab. Ingrid on näinud üles kasvamas kümneid tänaseid tippsõitjaid nagu Jüri Vips, Martin Rump jpt. Estonian Grand Prix korraldustoimkonnas on Ingrid peasekretärina võistluse algusest peale. Ingrid on erakordselt suure vastutustundega, töökas ja täpne professionaal, ilma kelleta suurvõistluste korraldamine keeruline. Ingrid on alati vana rahu ise ja nii võistlejate kui tiimiliikmetele suhtes sõbralik ning abivalmis ja paljudele otsekui pereliige. Ingrid Kiiver-Riisman, General Secretary of the Race: Anyone who is involved in autosport is acquainted with Ingrid from the karting events where she has been working at the secretariat for many years. Ingrid has seen how numerous drivers like Jüri Vips, Martin Rump and many other grow up and become well known.
At the organizing committee of the Estonian Grand Prix Ingrid has been the General Secretary since the beginning. She is an extraordinarily responsible, hardworking and accurate professional without whom the organization of a major event is impossible. Ingrid stays calm in any situation, she is friendly and helpful towards all the competitors and team members and for many she is like family. Rainer Kallas, tehnilise kontrolli juht (auto): Rainerit seob autospordiga 49 aasta pikkune ajalugu. Ta alustas 12-aastaselt kardisõiduga, mõned aastad ka vormeliga, kardisõiduga tegeles ka Raineri poeg. Rainerit näeb nii kardivõistluste kui BMW Xtreme sarja tehnilises komisjonis, Estonian Grand Prix’l juhib ta tehnilist komisjoni viiendat aastat. Rainer Kallas, Chief Scrutineer (Car): Rainer has been involved in autosport for 49 years. He started racing go-karts when he was 12, he has also raced formulas, later his son got involved with go-karts. Rainer belongs to the technical scrutineering team in the karting and BMW Xtreme Cup races, he has been part of the Estonian Grand Prix team for five years now.

Helen Urbanik, meediateenistuse juht: Olen varsti poole oma elust veetnud motospordivõistlustel: küll ajakirjaniku, fotograafi, korraldaja ja vahepeal ka Eesti Mootorrattaspordi Föderatsiooni peasekretärina. Nii ägedat õhkkonda ning selliseid inimesi ja emotsioone ei leia mitte kusagilt mujalt! Estonian Grand Prix korraldusmeeskonnas olen esimest aastat ja ääretult tänulik selle suurepärase kogemuse eest! Helen Urbanik, Media Officer: I have spent nearly half of my life at motorsports competitions: as a journalist, photographer, organizer and for a while also being the General Secretary of the Estonian Motorcycling Federation. I can tell you, there is no other place where you will find such great atmosphere, people and thrilling emotions! It is my first year as a member of the Estonian Grand Prix organizing committee and I am really grateful for this opportunity!
