ost of us are given advice every day, sometimes without even noticing it. Whether it be from a partner, friend, television show or even magazine feature, advice on how to eat, dress and live can be found everywhere (whether you like it or not), and for me, giving advice is part of my job. Some of my favourite words of wisdom come from the author Robin Sharma who said: “The purpose of work is to help people. The other rewards are inevitable by-products of this singular focus.” This is a working piece of advice I keep close that impacts on all areas of my life. Another pearl of wisdom comes from our controversial cover star January Jones who lives by the mantra: “You have to have fun and take risks, otherwise it becomes boring. I approach the way I work similarly. The jobs I take, the movies I make; I always want to challenge myself.” This month, we turned the tables and asked women in the UAE (and with a few celebrities thrown in) what was the best advice they have ever received (page 51) and the results are as thoughtful as they are functional.

ome girls have all the luck, as certainly was the case when Anja Rubik tip-toed along the red carpet at the amFAR charity gala during the Cannes Film Festival earlier this summer. Sparkling amidst a sea of designer footwear – at arguably the most glamorous evening of the week-long event – the 25-year-old Polish supermodel was chosen by Giuseppe Zanotti to wear the world’s most precious, one-of-a-kind stilettos, designed by the Italian shoe genius in conjunction with the expertise of glittering gem gurus, Chopard. The concept behind the collaboration came during an earlier meeting between the designer and the Swiss jewellery label’s co-president, Caroline GruosiScheufele, a tĂŞte-Ă -tĂŞte that sparked a plan of action, and “an inspiration to combine our respective crafts... not to mention a beautiful means for [the shoes’] future owner to support a noble cause,â€? Caroline explained. The dream became reality later that evening when an A-list audience of Kanye West, Jane Fonda, Janet Jackson and Kirsten Dunst Anja arriving at the watched the shoes be auctioned off for Hotel du Cap in Antibes, France, for the amFAR $200,000 by Eva Herzigova to support gala, before her oneamFAR’s fight against AIDS. Rather of-a-kind shoes were suitably, the lot was won by an auctioned for the charity by Eva Herzigova anonymous private bidder – a footwear fairy godmother, if you will. Now that’s the kind of happy ending we like to hear. “I’VE ALWAYS BEEN PASSIONATE ABOUT

here has been a trending ‘look’ that has reared its head in recent weeks, and thanks to a couple of outings from the itsy bitsy likes of Cheryl Cole and Sarah Jessica Parker, it’s caused quite a debate. However you choose to take it, the days of a Dynasty backcombed bouffant are back, and I, for one, am smiling about it. Big time. Hair matters; it’s by far the best image transformation tactic a woman has in her arsenal when it comes to getting ready for a night out. Dress and make-up alterations obviously make a difference, yes, but couple either with hair that looks as dull as dishwater and you may as well have not bothered at all. It ain’t called your ‘crowning glory’ for nothing, ladies. In fact, one of the few pieces of fashion and beauty advice I swear by (along with wearing all black on days when your brain and wardrobe are united in malfunction) is that so long as your hair looks great, the rest will fall into place. THE GIRL Candid, controversial and something of an enigma, Mad Men’s January Jones is the silver screen’s bright young thing. The question is, who exactly is she? Emily Baxter unravels the mystery… nless you’ve been on an extended sabbatical in the Himalayas for the past few years, you couldn’t have failed to notice the impact of Mad Men, the TV series set in a 1960s advertising company centred around Don Draper, the agency’s dashing go-to guy. However, it’s Don’s wife, Betty, who has caught the attention of the show’s female viewers. The job of playing Betty’s mysterious, repressed and rebellious suburban housewife fell to virtual unknown January Jones. The last four series of the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning drama have been the slow undoing of Betty – all unravelling breakdowns and break-ups, beautifully executed by January. But as mysterious and contrary as Betty is, the equally mysterious, and perhaps equally rebellious, January sees her and raises her at that game. Having flown low under Hollywood’s radar since her acting career began in 1999, the last four years have afforded 33-year-old January the spotlight – but perhaps not for all the right reasons. For someone who’s been in the game for over a decade, one might assume she’d learnt a thing or two about handling herself ‘out there’, but January ever-so demurely marches to her own tune and says what’s on her mind – but only when it pleases her, of course. “I come from a family of very outspoken women, who speak their mind,” she says, “So I can’t imagine living in a time when you couldn’t express what you felt, or having the lack of choices women had back then.”

January, who is due to give birth this autumn and also the star of movie-of-the-moment X-Men: First Class, is charming, mysterious and outspoken in equal measure – and the very fact we know so little about her makes us want to know her all the more. Subtly sweeping into Hollywood and onto the set of Mad Men amid a sea of red lips, floral frocks and blonde locks, viewers and critics were left wondering ‘who’s that girl?’ Google searches throw up little in terms of back story while tabloid gossip focuses very much on the ‘now’, and bar the few interviews she’s done with the likes of GQ, Allure and W magazines, she keeps fairly tight-lipped about her life – past and present. However, the complicated conundrum about January Jones is that when she does finally pipe up, she likes to flirt with controversy. Not quite Megan Fox or Lindsay Lohan proportions, but neither the ‘butterwouldn’t-melt’ you might expect; she’s clearly no dumb blonde and won’t be told what to do. Take her role in Richard Curtis’ comedy Love Actually in 2003, for example. Having been cast as a dizzy American, when it came to her scene she took control of the script and, unimpressed with the material, started ad-libbing. Considering this was one of her first big feature films, it was a bold move. “The minute I got on set, I started improvising,” she says coyly, “and before long the producer took me to one side, saying I can’t do that to Mr Curtis’ script!” Fortunately for January, her play on boldness didn’t backfire. Another, perhaps more scathing, revelation is the tête-à-tête she had with Zach Galifianakis last month at a party in LA. They hadn’t met before and according to Zach, the story goes: “She was like, ‘come and

So, I sit at her table and we talked for 10 minutes. Next thing, she says, ‘I think it’s time for you to leave now.’ I told her that she’s an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about her in a few years, so she should be nice. I then got up and left.” Not the smartest move considering The Hangover star is the golden boy of the moment. For every person in the anti-January camp, including critics who sniped hard after her Saturday Night Live show in 2009, there are plenty in the pro-January camp. Matthew Weiner, the creator of Mad Men, said: “January has an athletic intensity to her acting. She found a way to make Betty’s lack of self awareness so believable.” Donatella Versace, who asked January to be the face of Versace’s S/S11 campaign, called her “the perfect Versace woman of the 21st century”. So who is this woman who has polarised opinion in such a short space of time? To unravel the mystery of January Jones, the easiest place to start is with her name – it sounds almost too glamorous to be true, rolls deliciously off the tongue, and oozes Hollywood potential. “It comes from a novel my mother once read called Once Is Not Enough by Jacqueline Susann,” she explains. “The main character was January Wayne and my father liked the way her name sounded with Jones.” Her childhood in Sioux Falls, Dakota, was more ordinary than one might expect. Her two younger sisters kept her in check, while an after-school job at Dairy Queen and a “dream of becoming a storm chaser” kept her out of trouble. “I didn’t really act up until my early teens as I was always babysitting, so I think I was a pretty sweet kid. But,” she laughs, “I didn’t have parents like Betty!” Her next role aged 18 was as a model – most prominently for Abercrombie and Fitch – but her desire to play a clotheshorse was short-lived. An epiphany at 60’s icon Jim Morrison’s graveside in Paris provided January with her light bulb moment. “I felt miserable, I hated modelling. When I moved back 46

to New York I left my agency and decided to go to LA and try acting. Without any training.” This move saw January bounce from casting to casting, emotions worn on her sleeve and vulnerabilities barely buffered. Her next smart move was to date teen pin-up Ashton Kutcher. However, by the end of the relationship he unceremoniously criticised her acting credentials. “He was like, I don’t think you’re going to be good at this,” she explains. “Of course, he only has nice things to say now – but, if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I’m most motivated.” It is with this determination and an ability to portray raw emotions that landed her the role of her lifetime as Betty Draper – a true tour de force. And for anyone who doubts that a pretty face won’t necessarily get you far in Hollywood, just remember Cameron Diaz and Charlize Theron – both ex-models and now award-winning actresses. Cynics be silenced. After four years playing Betty, January is under no illusion how easily she can be typecast. “The writing gets more interesting and more bizarre – it’s phenomenal. I’m very protective of Betty but I’m also aware that my character can be very ugly and unattractive. That said, when it came to X-Men, I was also coming off the back of two dramatic movies (Unknown and The Hungry Rabbit Jumps), and another season of Mad Men… I’ve always been very choosy about the roles I take, but I was ready to do something a bit more fun.” However, as fate would have it, this instalment of X-Men was also set in the 60s. “When I heard that, I was like ‘Oh my goodness, you must be kidding me!’” She laughs. “But I read the script and familiarised myself with the character [Emma Frost] and realised she’s so, so far from Betty and the movie isn’t a period film.” The only pressure January put on herself for the role in X-Men was physical. “The costumes are insane and it’s a lot of body conscious stuff,” she laughs. “If you look at the comic book, she’s barely dressed! She’s got quite the bod, which is very intimidating.” And so to the figure that’s seen January regularly rate in mens’ magazine’s Hot 100 lists – how does she maintain it? A self-confessed gym-loather, it takes something more ‘creative’ to get January to workout. “Hula hooping, yoga, hiking, dancing, tennis – anything that doesn’t feel like punishment!” As for her diet, well, she does as she pleases. “I eat healthily, especially now, but if I feel like a cheeseburger I’ll get one and not feel guilty. I just don’t do anything routinely.” It’s clear that January’s not all about diva-like outbursts – it’s just another piece to add to the jigsaw. Away from the cameras, talking about her off-duty look, she says, “You know what, I don’t get recognised that often because I wander around in jeans and T-shirts with my hair in a 48

ponytail.” That said, when a red-carpet occasion does beckon, she gladly obliges, telling GQ magazine: “The fashion, the dressing up… that’s the stuff I really enjoy.” However, she sometimes worries how she’ll continue to up the ante. “I love the whole finding a dress and feeling glamorous, but the judgement that goes along with what you’re going to wear is silly. You have to have fun and take risks, otherwise it becomes boring.” With a similar outlook to work, she says: “I approach the way I work similarly. The jobs I take, the movies I make; I always want to challenge myself.” There’s no doubting January’s one tough cookie, but even cookies crumble. And so to whom does she turn when in need of a sympathetic shoulder? “Family. My parents and my sisters. Every once in a while, if it’s something work-related, I’ll talk to my co-stars, because sometimes my family doesn’t understand that aspect of my life,” she explains. A typical homebody who likes to sleep, dine out, see friends and do up her house, January is clearly enjoying her pregnancy. “I’m just kind of in that nesting phase – preparing my house and stuff.” With no weird cravings to date? “No! I wish I could tell you something interesting, but I can’t!” And so to baby names. Perhaps September or after one of the X-Men characters? “That would certainly make headlines, wouldn’t it!” she laughs. With babies ticked off, where does she see herself in 10 years? “Well, ideally I’ll still be doing this job, challenging myself and taking risks but just not be doing it quite as much. I want to do more for my personal life – something just for me. I need some sort of creative outlet.” The question all die-hard Betty fans want to know is how Mad Men’s writers will work her bump into the show. “I have no idea yet,” she laughs. “I guess they might hide it or maybe write it in that my character has put on a lot of weight!” If it’s a case of divide (opinion) and conquer (Hollywood), it seems it’s the critics who are doing the dividing, while she’s doing the conquering. And love her or hate her, January refuses to let others have the last word. “I don’t fear judgement or the critiques. I don’t let it affect me.” And, with the level of whirlwind success she’s had, why should she? “Success for me is to feel happy 80 per cent of the time – that’s been my goal in life. I want to know how to be happy. But then there’s the feeling that I’m not always satisfied. I have that thing in my stomach where I just need to keep striving for things. I had an eyeopening conversation over the phone with my coach. He dissected my situation, showing me how, in the entire helplessness of a situation, I still had a choice. When I was first offered the chance to move to Dubai, I faced all the ‘what ifs’ of moving abroad, but realised that I could just as easily stay in England and end up thinking ‘what if I had moved to Dubai’. So I packed up and went. There’s always a ‘what if ’ waiting

LOVING WHAT YOU DO IS THE ONLY WAY TO BECOME GOOD AT IT... This advice came to me at a very pivotal time in my career when I had a choice to opt for the easy option or take a leap of faith and start my own business. It came from an old school friend who told me to ‘love what you do, as that is the only way you will become good at it’. He had also just started up his own business, which is now one of the most reputable graphic design companies in Australia. I followed his advice, opened my own business and found it the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had. As long as I’m passionate about something, I know I can do it. razil might have some of the world’s best beaches, gorgeous weather and a carnival atmosphere that resonates around every city, but when it comes to fashion it is not all gold lamé hot pants, exotic beachwear and those off-duty staple of the shoe world – Havaianas (made in Brazil – naturally). Until you’ve experienced what this incredible country has to offer, it is easy to dismiss Brazilian fashion – which is worth an incredible $52 billion a year – as anything more than samba and swimwear. But attending the Minas Trend Preview – one of the biggest fashion events in the country – was not only a chance to see the forthcoming S/S11 collections (summer starts in December), but also to witness what the Brazilian’s do best – creative catwalks infused with a happy local spirit and a lot of excellent designs that wouldn’t be out of place in the UAE. In fact, many of the designers brought their collections to the Emirates for last years Who’s Next fashion event and received a positive reaction from shoppers. The Minas Trend trade show, held in the industrial city of Belo Horizonte, is a preview of what to expect at the large runway shows held at Fashion Rio and São Paulo Fashion Week. Now in its eighth year, the event hosted 31 brands and 19 catwalk shows and was curated by well known Brazilian designer Ronaldo Fraga. Under this edition’s theme of Oxygen, Fraga chose different looks from the various collections and built an amazing opening show featuring vibrant hues, colour blocking and a lot of sheer fabrics. Highlight collections included Alessa – renowned for her modern prints that would suit both the Copacabana beach set as well as Dubai’s high society ladies – and Gig by Gina Guerra – a relatively young brand that makes very wearable clothes with a modern and feminine edge. Here’s our pick of the best shows…

ALESSA Founded in 2002 by Carioca Alessa, the label sticks to its South American roots but adds a touch of modern day sophistication. The S/S11 collection has a very Brazilian touch with fun, flair and florals ruling the runway. Models were adorned in shimmering silk metallic midi dresses (very now), printed kaftans inspired by the Amazon and bold floral print maxis tied at the waist with bright yellow leather belts. Hair was worn up and accessorised with elaborate embellished hair pieces which cascaded down the models’ faces.

Inspired by Brazil’s Japanese population, the designers – Barbara Maciel and Louise Cristine – mixed contemporary Japanese design and traditional crafts from the Far East, such as origami, to produce a chic tailored collection for modern women. Red, pink and white dominated the collection and kimono style maxi-dresses, worn with large belts that looked like exotic lilies, created a stylish silhouette. But the biggest runway wow factor was the fan effect dress worn with highwaisted pure silk shorts in midnight blue, teamed with red Mary Janes.

VIVAZ Bringing together the many characteristics of the Brazilian people, Elizabeth Faria, the designer behind Vivaz, closed day three with a glitzy show of glorious eveningwear. Frou frou frocks, gold and fawn coloured lamé dresses, turquoise one shoulder gowns and staggeringly high heels were in abundance. Elizabeth is not ashamed to exploit what Brazil does best – party – and showed the audience that fun doesn’t have to mean fast fashion. The luxury line, which is exported to the Middle East, did show some chic casual wear, but it’s this collection of feminine frocks that really brought the house down.

GBTIJPO CSB[JMJBO GBTIJPO GIG In the glorious outdoor surroundings of the Inhotim Contemporary Art Centre and Gardens, Gina Guerra showcased her S/S11 collection. Walking to the beat of Blondie, models were adorned in luxurious silks, light knitwear and sheer dresses. Her passion for colour wasn’t as evident as in previous collections, with pastels, pinks, nudes and white dominating the mostly evening wear-based show. The entire collection was beautifully feminine with cute blouses, short shift dresses, embellished detailing, waists nipped in with skinny belts and 50s inspired swimwear – a welcome change to the skimpy two-pieces that Brazil is so famous for. Gig is currently available across the USA and Europe but is yet to explore the Middle East, which is a shame as this is a label that could work very well in this region.

The 70s influence was a huge trend at the international S/S11 shows and that was no different in Brazil. Large floppy hats, tailored flared trousers, highwasited shorts and crochet waistcoats adorned the open air catwalk set within 3,000 acres of Brazil’s finest parkland. Snakeskin is also a huge trend for S/S11 and Patricia Motta incorporated it into everything from vest tops, to mini skirts, to jackets and belts, in a variety of neons and rainbow brights. A beautiful, sophisticated and very on trend collection from the woman whose name has become a byword for quality.

amed for her kooky dress sense, babydoll looks and seriously glossy mane, the pop phenomenon that is Katy Perry has us all hooked on her next creative move. However, her rocky road to stardom started with a young Katy singing in a gospel church choir. After several attempts at ‘making it’ she was signed to Capitol Music Group in 2007, a company which embraced her innovative vision. Five years later and Katy now reigns supreme as a bonafide pop princess and the

only artist to have spent an entire year in the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Whether it was her out-there lyrics or kitsch stage outfits (best described as a fruity cocktail of colour) that put her on the radar of hair conglomerate ghd, (good hair day) she certainly attracted its attention, and has since become the new face of the brand. I think sleep is the key – eight hours is a must for me. I think that hygiene is also really important – I’m a big teeth/breath hygiene person. I think bronzer and a little bit of mascara go a long way, too. I love trying different types of mascara. The blue mascara from Dior is really fun – it gives you a whole different look.

There’s a big range of women who have influenced my style, from fictional to real life characters. And, of course, the real people: Dita Von Teese, Daphne Guinness, Agyness Deyn, Chlöe Sevigny. These women are my style icons.

One day I was walking by an old run down soap factory, the sign outside attracted me so I went inside. There I met an elderly gentleman who owned the factory. We spent an entire day talking and he gathered that I was very passionate about fragrance. The gentleman had no children to pass on his legacy to, so he gave me the factory. tepping off the plane in Barcelona feels utterly blissful thanks to a more humane level of humidity and a pleasant 25 degrees Celsius heat. I can feel myself (and my hair) starting to relax. I’m whisked off to the stylish W Hotel (www.w-barcelona.com) where staff that look like they belong in a fashion campaign greet me with smiles and the key to my home for two days. After a satisfying siesta and freshen up in my room’s stunning rain shower, I’m ready to hit the town and paint it red. My very first experience of Spanish dining is at the Hotel Arts (www.hotelartsbarcelona.com) where my taste buds are tantalised with a tapas

inspired meal at Arola. Recognising that my group and I were new in town, our waiter embraced his inner tutor and showed us how to make a traditional Catalan starter which included fresh garlic, tomato and olive oil on crusty bread – with no cooking required, this is my kind of food! On to the main course, where I devour a succulent piece of beef cooked in the true European style of lightly searing on each side to lock in the flavour, accompanied by Arola’s signature potatoes. Giving in to my yawns, it was time to crawl into bed. With the harbour glittering below me, sleep comes easily, while my first impressions of Barcelona exceeds what I had imagined.

BARCELONA: EL BORN Being a history geek, I am desperate to see the many sights of Barcelona. Wandering around the Gothic Quarter I am transported back to another time with ancient cathedrals, old galleries and boutiques lining every street. Those in search of shops rife with quirky fashion and local designers should head for the El Born district, which is also home to bakeries and confectionary shops that satisfied my sweet tooth. As a well-known face in the malls of Dubai, I confidentently navigated my way to the famous Passeig de Gràcia where Barcelona’s elite shop. A trip to Spain is never complete without a visit to Loewe to ogle this season’s ‘it’ bag and beautiful calfskin leather jackets, while my next stop was a department store with a difference. Santa Eulàlia has been in business for 168 years and encourages hours of the most relaxing retail therapy you could imagine. Oh, and one vital USP is the in-house tailor who will nip/tuck and deliver your purchases directly to your hotel. Alongside its lavish changingroom boudoirs, sweeping staircases, and sigh-

inducing gowns, this store really does encourage princess behaviour. After a quick change I am ready to do some more exploring – bravely without a guide, especially as I have never been blessed with navigational skills. Not veering too far from the El Born quarter, I stumble across the Picasso museum on Montcada Street. With a queue stretching the length of the street (it is best to get there early) I walk on to discover art behind every door of this quarter. Then, with my feet pointing towards a resting place, I end the afternoon in Plaça de les Olles – one of El Born’s most bustling squares and the perfect place for a spot of people watching over a delicious gelato.

BARCELONA TO MADRID Not being a girl used to walking (ahem), a bit of a break was well and truly needed. Having heard rave reviews from girlfriends about the quirky W Hotel’s Bliss spas I decide to treat my travel weary hands to a manicure. On arrival I am encouraged to indulge in the chocolate brownie buffet (had rumours of my sugar addictions reached Spanish shores?) followed by a truly The ultr excellent a blissfu Bliss Sp l manicure. After a working on my cuticles, my hands are placed into plastic bags containing warm hand cream and then

massaged – an unusual, but relaxing, feeling. My lovely therapist, Laura, is Barcelona’s answer to Carrie Bradshaw, with the real scoop on the city. Swapping tales of life in the UAE versus Spain, Laura gives me an insider’s insight into real Barcelona living. With my hands transformed and my nails kissed a ruby colour, I skip out of out of the spa with a whole list of places to visit on my next trip. The next stop on the itinerary is Madrid. A mere three-hour high-speed train ride later I enter the world of old fashioned glamour at the Westin Palace Hotel (www.westinpalacemadrid.com). Originally one of the city’s oldest banks, it recently reopened its doors with crystal chandeliers and touches of marble, which makes me feel like I’ve walked onto a movie set. With views of Madrid from my room giving me a taster of what i lying in store for tomorrow, it ’s off to bed to rest and prepare.

USBWFM EJBSZ TOLEDO An early start sees us set off to visit the historic city of Toledo where we are treated to spectacular views of the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula, the River Tagus. As we walk further into the city, which is made up of a labyrinth of winding streets, I am immediately struck by the amount of Middle Eastern style architecture, which dates back to Toledo’s early Arabic rule. We round off our tour with lunch at Adolfo, a family-run restaurant in a 14th century townhouse. It’s an incredibly special experience, with attention to detail a priority. The restaurant’s recipes, which have been handed down the generations, produce mouthwatering delicascies such as

lightly fried zucchini flower in tomato purée. To truly see Toledo at its best, Adolfo’s roof terrace is a must-visit – the best views, and the best marzipan! With the clock ticking, it is time to reluctantly return to Madrid to pack one last time. As we relive our trip on the way to the airport, everyone vows to return – and soon. Whether you’re after a city break filled with fashion, art or history, Madrid and Barcelona are the perfect setting for a break in the Spanish sunshine. ■

MADRID: PASEO DEL ARTE Once again the heels are kicked off in favour of flats as the day begins with a tour of Madrid’s art district, which boasts three of the world’s best art museums: the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia Museum. The arrival of the Caixa Forum in 2008 is also a fantastic example of how Madrid blends old buildings with new, as it was originally a power station before being converted into a post-modern work of art. It also boasts a Patrick Blanc designed vertical garden comprised of more than 15,000 plants – food for thought for the less green fingered among us! The day ends with dinner at the twoMichelin starred restaurant Ramon Freixa (www.ramon freixa.com). With a twomonth waiting list, I have a feeling we are in for something special. Lavish is the key word here, and stepping into the intimate dining room is a true experience with its mosaic floors, black goblets and mirrored ceilings. Our first course is a variety of canapés and freshly baked bread, followed by the famous ‘Big Duck’ burger. After some cheese and coffee, it is time to call it a night as my last day in Spain beckons.

Kuwait welcomed heritage fashion company Missoni for the launch of their second hotel, with the first located in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Missoni family were out in full force, mingling with guests and chatting animatedly about their latest venture. With the company’s founder Rosita Missoni plumping pillows upon arrival, it was clear the family were not just silent figureheads, this is a brand with strong morals and memories behind it. With their famed zig-zag print plastered across everything from teacups to towels, billowing fringe chandeliers and matte SHEIKHA gold accents, the Missoni Hotel is far from just another plush hotel. AL-MUNAIFI With character oozing from every wall, the family was keen to stick to the classic Missoni signature style of colour, texture and pattern. As guests piled into the new hotel, a surprise Missoni treasure hunt awaited, offering guests a full view of the grounds with little gifts to pick up along the way, including miniature bottles of olive oil. Celebrated chef Giorgio Locatelli and his team treated the Kuwaiti glitterati to a generous spread with the very best of Italian cuisine, including lobster, risotto and tiramisu.
