Sussex Tech ROTC students raise money for senior services For the fourth year, the Sussex Technical High School JROTC Raven Battalion participated in the annual CHEER Power Walk in Rehoboth Beach. Although the annual Beach Day activities were planned for Sept. 21, because of a scheduling conflict, almost 70 cadets had to do their 2.8-mile walk during an inservice day on Sept. 14. For the third year in a row, the Raven Battalion brought home awards for most donations received by a group and most walkers in a group, as well as first- and second-place in most individual donations, won by Richard Atkins of Georgetown and Brent Petett of Laurel. As a group, the cadets collected $7,400 for CHEER.
