Moreau Catholic High School (MCHS) was founded in 1965 by the Brothers of Holy Cross. We are a coeducational compassionate college preparatory high school located in Hayward, California. MCHS has a student population of about 850 students and is located on 14 acres. Moreau Catholic is committed to outstanding achievement and prepares students through academic, social and spiritual learning experiences that form and transform our students as they become responsible citizens of our global community.

We thank you for your interest in Moreau Catholic High School’s International Student Program (ISP). Our program is designed to accommodate full-time, diploma-seeking international students currently living and studying in their home country, and who have an interest in studying at and graduating from Moreau Catholic High School. We accept applications for students entering 9th, 10th and 11th grades. Our international students are immersed in our English-speaking community and learn from academic, social and spiritual experiences.

At this time, Moreau Catholic High School currently requires all new international students to enroll in our English for International Students course for their first year. This course is designed to assist with the student’s transition into our academic program. In addition, upon arrival to the school, each student will be assessed in English to ensure the appropriate course placement and support. Qualified international students are encouraged to submit their applications and all supporting documents as soon as possible. We have a rolling admissions process for international applicants, pending space availability. The sooner students apply and complete the process, the sooner they will have an admission decision from the Office of Admissions.

Moreau Catholic High School is located on 14 acres in Hayward, California, which is between San Francisco and San Jose. Our 14-acre campus is gated with only one main entrance onto campus. We have secured entrances to all buildings, and visitors must register with our staff when checking in through our front lobby. We have experienced, full-time security personnel to monitor our facilities during the school day and on-campus events. We regularly review our campus security protocols to make sure we have the best system in place for the safety and security of our students, faculty and staff.

Standardized Test Results: TOEFL, TOEFL Jr., IELTS, iTEP Slate, or Duolingo. Please note: TOEFL Jr. is not accepted for Grade 10 and 11 applicants Campus Visit or Skype Interview - The Office of Admissions will contact the applicant directly, once we have received their application. Copy of Student’s Passport Financial Statement - Submit a copy of your current bank statement showing you have sufficient funds to pay tuition for the 2020-2021 school year.

Tuition & Costs Tuition for Moreau Catholic’s International Student Program for the 2020-2021 school year is $33,745 USD. Included in tuition are the following: • A full schedule of college preparatory classes, which may include Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses • A designated Counselor who provides academic support and advocacy for students • A year-long UC-approved English course with academic and English language support • A required two-week summer orientation ○○ English Language workshops ○○ Cultural exchange with American students ○○ A field trip to a local university or bay area attraction ○○ An orientation to the school including a tour, a review of school expectations and staff introductions • Moreau Catholic’s Link Crew Team designated to mentor international students in academic and social activities on and off campus • An Apple MacBook laptop, textbooks, reading books, a yearbook, 2 locks for lockers, school uniform and uniform for Physical Education classes • Celebration of cultural holidays with the Associate Director of Admissions and school community • Personalized College Advising

Housing Accommodations
关於住宿
Moreau Catholic High School does not offer oncampus housing or boarding accommodations. Currently, all international students requiring a student visa (I-20 visa) to attend Moreau Catholic High School are required to be contracted with one of our local international agencies. These agencies provide necessary support and guidance while the student is attending Moreau Catholic High School. Our host families are expected to provide transportation, nutritious meals, and the student’s own bedroom. Information regarding our partner agencies will be provided to all newly enrolled international students.

This educational 3D technology is revolutionizing the professional industry in the areas of tissue engineering, organ production, and medical device development.
Social Justice
Through our Holy Cross Social Justice program, Moreau students incubate ideas to become reality, where passion intersects with faith to become a vocation. They build strength of compassionate awareness and impart their love and knowledge to the greater community in the form of a hands-on capstone project.

Biology
Students develop critical thinking and observational skills. They learn to gather and interpret data and to communicate results clearly and effectively.

Film and Video Production
Moreau Catholic TV (MCTV) is the only Bay Area high school fully equipped TV Production Studio. Students film their own live, weekly news broadcasts and are instructed in lighting, sound, scriptwriting, editing and the art of communication.

Visual and Performing Arts
Over 30 courses are offered in the Visual & Performing Arts program. Moreau Catholic High School has the largest variety of Visual and Performing Arts programs in the East Bay. We offer courses in Chorus, Dance, Music, Theater and the Visual Arts, as well as opportunities to perform in vocal and instrumental ensembles and in musical theatre and dance productions.
