8 A T. rex Named Sue Installation Party from Montshire Museum of Science, Norwich, VT www.montshire.org This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! A T. rex Named Sue will open at the Montshire on May 17, but setting up the exhibition takes days of preparation. The Museum will be closed May 12–14 while current exhibit pieces are removed from the Main Gallery, fork trucks move crates of dinosaur parts, and Sue’s complex skeleton is assembled, piece by piece. You and a guest will be able to watch the process on Tuesday, May 13, from the second floor gallery. This item will be sold “by the head”—a total of ten high bidders will each receive two spaces at this event, for a maximum of 20 guests. Refreshments will be served, and there will be time to explore the permanent exhibits on the second floor including Sustainable Shelter: Dwelling Within the Forces of Nature.
