Fellow Cattlemen, We would like to take this time to invite everyone to our 6th annual production sale. We are very thankful for past customers, and are very excited for any new customers coming aboard. We have great pride in what we do and we are proud of our cattle. We hope you will find that these cattle are something you can be proud of as well. Wow, it’s hard to believe another year has already went by. What a year 2013 was for the cattle market! It seemed with every video sale or auction new records were reached. Then just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. Bred cattle, feeder cattle, and seed stock all reached record prices. To top all of this off, rainfall reached record levels as well. One can only imagine what 2014 will bring! With record prices, there has never been a better time to invest in powerful proven genetics. We feel we have put together a herd bull line-up that will rival any AI stud. When we combine this, with what we feel is a maternal efficient cowherd, the end result is a powerful set of bulls that can make you, the rancher, money. Not only do we expect our cattle to excel on paper but also in the real world. Our cows must be good structured, sound footed and solid producers to handle the environment of the Bear Paw mountains. If they don’t produce, they don’t stay on the ranch. The bulls are run in the Bear Paws from birth right up to sale time. Our pasture ranges from 3500 feet to 6000 feet with rugged landscape. We do not pamper the bulls as they rely on mothers milk and what mother nature provides. Absolutely no creep feed and no irrigated meadows. Weaning weights are taken the same day we gather out of summer pasture. All numbers are honest and not fabricated. After weaning, the bulls are fed a high roughage ration right here at the ranch. They receive corn along with corn and wheat DDGs along with free choice grass hay. Our goal is for a 3 to 3.5 ADG on the bulls. We want them to look good but not jeopardize their soundness. You can buy with confidence and we stand behind our bulls 100%. Once Again Merle Young (MY Angus) and Kevin Young (Bear Paw Herefords) will be offering bulls with us. They run their cattle the same way and winter their bulls right with ours. Merle will have more lots this year as he is growing his herd and doing a really good job. They will have some real standouts in the sale.
Also in the offering will be 88 fancy commercial replacement heifers. 49 Angus heifers came off the Kellam Ranch and will be the top cut of 275 head with no replacements kept. 39 will be F1 baldies off the Weaver Ranch with no replacements kept. Past reports on these baldy heifers have been very positive. Last of all Sara, Kruz, Jaxton, and myself invite everyone to join us for lunch and to view the cattle. We are also very excited to announce our new little one to-be in May, 2014. Hope to see you all on March 3rd in Chinook!

Bear Paw was the 2nd high selling bull of the spring 2012 Vermilion ranch sale at $30,000. His first calves have exceeded all expectations and will be real standouts on sale day. It’s our pleasure to welcome you to the 6th Annual Clear Creek Angus Bull Sale. We would like to thank the past bidders and buyers for supporting the sale. This year we are excited to offer our first sons of Churchill Judge 1121Y ET. These bulls are really thick, deep and long bodied with good pigment. This year we will offer a registered yearling heifer. Her dam was the top selling heifer in Holden Herefords 2012 sale and she is sired also by the Churchill Judge 1121Y ET. She should make an excellent cow. Our cows are ran like the good commercial outfits are run. The cows get no special care and the calves are never fed creep feed. This year our weaning weights are down. Even with fly tags, the cows stayed in a huddle for two months last summer fighting flies. The bulls have been vaccinated with Pyramid 5 along with the foot rot vaccine. Also they have been backpoured with Ivermectin. These heifers all came off of the Kellam ranch and will be sired by Clear Creek & Arntzen Angus bulls. This is probably one of the best sets we have sold to date. No replacements were kept and we were given the opportunity to sort 50 off of the top of 275 head. Lots of these heifers are sired by sons of Ten X 9903, Ten X 7008 SA, X Factor sons, and Franklin sons. The steer mates weighed off at 631 pounds. This set of heifers should weigh approx. 800 pounds on sale day. These are extremely fancy and will look all alike. Clear Creek Angus
These heifers all come off of the Weaver ranch of Big Sandy, MT. This is one of the long time reputation hereford herds in MT. No replacements are kept off of the baldy end. Past buyers have been extremely pleased with this set of heifers and breed up has been very good. These will be 85% sired by Clear Creek bulls. Sons of Franklin, Dutchman, and CC&7. As fancy of baldies as you will find anywhere. Should way approx. 750 pounds on sale day.
