COLOR & INSPIRATION Fall/Winter 15’16

Letter from the Editor Trend Forecasting is about spotting what is to come, being able to predict what will be trending on a specific season. The beauty about forecasting is that it remains uncertain until the season comes. Predicting trend it’s becoming harder within the passing of time since influence no longer comes from haute couture, nowadays inspiration and style comes strictly from the streets. In present-day the streets of Milan, NYC, and Paris among others have become a constant runway. Color is known to represent attitude. Its true that you never go wrong with black, and that Karl Lagerfeld states that you will never be under or over dress with a little black dress, but still, life is not about black and white, neither shades of grey. Colors are here to express feelings and personality and for what its worth, a fashion trend. A combination of colors can dictate the mood of a trend by only being perceived by the eyes without any explanation needed. The pure color might not change from one season to the other, but is the color usage and color combinations that will dictate how fashion will be perceive in a season to come. In this Tobe Report, the Fall Winter 15’16 season will be explored in four different aspects in regards of the color combinations that will be seen during the season. From modern-classy to urban life, all the way to a rebellious feel that leads into pastel colors of purism.

Within this trend a variety of patterns are combined in such way that they are perfectly blended into one another to express individualism. This trend is about exploring the inner artist that it is inside us. To break the rules of what goes together because anyways, who says what’s right or wrong. Exploring urban fashion and translating it into chaos by layering high-contrast graphics. Stravagante means extravagant in Italian, which dictates a lifestyle of fashion expression.
