KIDS AFTER SCHOOL ART

with Abbie Cianfrocco Children explore their creativity through various art forms including drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. Ages 5-9 Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4-6pm 4-week series (8 classes) Next series begins Jan. 16th $120 for the series

ADVENTURES IN CLAY: HANDBUILDING & WHEEL

with Christina Maki Strong This is a combo clay class where students handbuild during the first class and are introduced to the potters’ wheel in the second class. Pieces will be glazed during the final class. All the materials (clay, glazes and kiln firings) are covered in the cost of this class and final pieces can be picked up 2 weeks at the end of this class. 1st through 4th graders Tuesdays 3:30–5pm (3 classes per series) Session 1: Mar 4, 11, & 25 $110 for the series


KIDS LET’S BE ACROBATS

with Olga Karmansky Wilcox Preschool Parent-Child Acrobats Adventure for bonding, building trust, and physical coordination through the art of acrobatics. Learn: Balancing, Tumbling, Creative Movement, Safety Training, Games & Challenges. Ages 3-6, Three 1-hr. workshops Wednesdays 3-4pm Drop-in rate $45 $120 for 3-week session

KIDS/TEENS/ADULTS FLEXIBILITY for DANCERS and FIGURE SKATERS

with Olga Karmansky Wilcox Stretch into the leg extensions of your dreams, create magical lines, stabilize your ankles for crisp pirouettes, harness the power of your full range of flexibility, all using a strength-based approach. Aquire flexibility skills such as oversplits, front and back needles, Y-scales, layouts, chest-stands, inversions, illusion spins, and spirals for figure skaters. Ages 8+, Fridays 4:30-5:30pm Drop-in rate: $55 4-week session: $175


KIDS/TEENS ADVENTURES IN CLAY: WHEEL THROWING

with Christina Maki Strong This class will cover the basics on how to use the pottery wheel. Students will create 2 or 3 pieces on the wheel. All the materials (clay, glazes, and kiln firings) are covered in the cost of this class and final pieces can be picked up 2 weeks at the end of this class. 4th through 8th graders Tuesdays 3:30–5pm (3 classes per series) 3-part series 1: Feb. 5, 12, & 26 3-part series 2: Apr 8, 15, & 29 $110 per series

BEYOND BEGINNER POTTERY

with Martha Redmond Intermediate pottery for teens who have a basic understanding of throwing on the pottery wheel. We will discuss efficiency in technique and build a great deal of skill. This class is focused on throwing practice and training, though students may leave with 2-3 finished pieces. All materials included. Final pieces can be picked up two weeks after the final class. Ages 14+, Thursdays: 3-5pm 4-part series: Jan 11, 18, 25, & Feb 1 $175 for the series


TEENS/ADULTS FELTING WORKSHOPS

with Erin Gardner, Grey Fox Felting

SNOWY EVERGREEN

Beginner-friendly workshop introducing the basics of needle felting in a supportive and relaxing environment. Erin will guide you step-by-step through the process of needle felting bits of wool onto a wool sheet of felt, finished in a wooden embroidery hoop. Ages 12+ Thursday, Jan 18, 10am-1pm $55

WINTER BARN OWL

Learn how to transform fluffy bits of wool into a unique felted owl, complete with a cozy sweater! In this beginner-friendly workshop, Erin will guide you step-by-step in creating your own felted owl. Ages 12+, Thursday, Feb 1, 10am-1pm $60

HEART GARLAND

Needle felt colorful hearts! In this fun and relaxing workshop, you will create several hearts in the colors of your choice, then string them together to form a cheerful garland. Ages 10+, Thursday, Feb 8, 10am-1pm $40

TEENS/ADULTS WEAVE AN EGG BASKET

with Kimberly Behrendt The curiously shaped Appalachian egg basket was created to manage safe egg transportation on the back of a mule or horse. A fun challenge with the opportunity to use different materials for your own unique creation. Ages 14+, Saturday, March 9, 12-3pm $35

WAX RESIST EGG DYEING

with Annette Clarke Learn the wax-resist egg decorating technique used in traditional Ukrainian pysanky. Annette Clarke will lead you through the process. Complete up to 3 eggs to take with you. All materials included.. Ages 14+, Saturday, March 16, 12-3pm $30

CREATIVE CRAFTING SERIES

with Kimberly Behrendt Look for an exciting new Creative Crafting Series coming to the KAC this Spring! Saturdays at noon starting April 6th.


ADULTS BLOCK PRINTING

with Tim Rand Linocut is a relief printmaking technique. This easy-to-carve material makes it ideal for beginners and professional artists alike. Tim will work with each student, walking everyone through the process from designing and sketching to carving and printing an edition to take home with you. Ages 18+, February 6,13, 20, & 27 Tuesdays 6:30-8pm (4-part series) No experience necessary $95 for the series

INTAGLIO, DRYPOINT ETCHING

with Tim Rand Drypoint etching is a technique that combines drawing and printmaking. Clear plexiglass plates enable each student to hone their printmaking skills and create rich linework. Tim will work with each student, providing helpful tips and providing different tools to help shape the best plate possible. You’ll take home your very own limited edition prints. Ages 18+, March 9 and 23 Saturdays, 12-3:30pm (2-part series) $95 for the series


ADULTS POTTERY, BEYOND CENTERING

with Cate Reynolds Spark your daily art practice at this weekly nonchalant gathering. No pressure- just some arty playtime for anyone 18+. Materials and sparks provided. MV PAINTERS

open studio with live model Join the Mohawk Valley Painters group for a weekly painting session with a live model. All mediums and skill levels welcome. Ages 18+ Wednesdays: 9:30am-12:30pm No registration required, $10

ADULTS CALM VIBE YOGA

with Deb Evans Strength building movements, grounding postures, breath work, and imagery for an overall calming effect for the mind, body and spirit. ZUMBA

with Noi Moore Piyanart Moore (Noi) has been teaching Zumba Fitness for 10 years. She is licensed to teach many forms of Zumba. This session is Zumba Gold Toning.
