M O C K TA I L S 17 Delicious Ways to Live 049. During our Facebook Mocktail Contest we received some amazingly yummy recipes to help pregnant women live 049 (zero alcohol for nine month). Now we’ve collected some of our favorites in our first ever MOFAS Mocktail Recipe Book! The Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS) http://www.mofas.org/ is dedicated to helping spread the word that no amount of alcohol is safe during pregnancy.

Mint Mocktail Angela P.

Ingredients Club soda Fresh mint Lime juice Ice

Directions Fill glass 2/3 with ice, add a squeeze of lime juice (or to taste), add ripped up mint leaves (4-6 or to taste), and add club soda. 22

Lightly stir and enjoy! Optional: Garnish with mint sprig.

Ingredients

Directions

1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

Combine condensed milk, butterscotch topping, and butter in a glass heat proof measuring cup. Heat in microwave for 1 minute.

1/4 cup butterscotch topping 2 tablespoons whipped butter, room temperature 1 1/2 cups vanilla cream soda

Remove and stir until butter has melted and incorporated into mixture. Meanwhile heat cream soda in another heat proof measuring cup for 1 minute 30 seconds. Divide butterscotch mixture between 2 (10 to 12 ounce) mugs. Fill mugs with heated cream soda and stir thoroughly. Serve garnished with an old-fashioned butterscotch candy stick.

Ingredients 1 pkt CRYSTAL LITE lemonade flavor drink 3 cups cold water 3 cups cold club soda 6 fresh mint sprigs 1 lime, cut into 6 slices Directions Stir drink mix and water in a 2 quart pitcher until dissolved. Add club soda and mint. Serve over ice cubes in tall glasses. Garnish with lime slices.

Ingredients Spicy mixed vegetable juice Sparkling lime water Garnishes: Pepper jack cheese, sausage, celery, olives, pickles, and tomatoes

Directions Mix 2/3 spicy mixed vegetable juice with 1/3

sparkling lime water.

Garnish with pepper jack cheese, sausage, celery, olive, pickle and tomato. Serve with a “snitz� or non-alcoholic beer.

Ingredients Elderberry juice (River Hills Harvest) Lemon sorbet Honey Ginger ale Mint garnish Directions Mix in blender to your own taste. This is an awesome tart and refreshing option for a hot summer evening!

Muddle mint leaves in the Squirt and Sierra Mist/Sprite mixture.

Real fruit popsicles Sugar/Truvia Fresh/frozen fruit Mint leaves

Add popsicles and frozen fruit (e.g. blueberries). Rim glass with sugar and garnish with fruit of your choice!

Ingredients Acai puree Tangerine juice Frozen mixed berries Blood orange garnish

Directions Blend all ingredients to your liking!

3 blueberries Slice of cucumber 1 tsp of cherry juice from the jar for color

Garnish with cucumber.

Directions Blend all ingredients to your liking!

POM Delight

Ingredients

Directions

3 cups water

In a medium saucepan, combine 3 cups of the water with 1/2 cup grenadine and POM juice.

1/2 cup grenadine 18 oz. POM juice Cherries

Blackberries Lemon-lime soda

Heat until thoroughly mixed together. Place one blackberry and one cherry in each section of the ice cube tray. Pour mixture to fill each compartment. Freeze until frozen. Mocktail: Fill glass with ice cubes and top with lemon-lime carbonated beverage. Enjoy!

Ingredients Sparkling apple cider Orange juice Cherries 1 tsp cherry juice from the jar

Directions Combine everything but cherries in shaker half filled with ice, strain into glass and add cherries as a garnish.

Directions The Hunger Games inspired mocktail that’s so good, it’s deadly. Mix ingredients to taste and enjoy!

Ingredients Ginger ale Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice Pregnancy tea Lime juice Pi単a Colada mix A honey stick

Directions Brew tea according to directions. Let cool. Combine with remaining ingredients and stir with honey stick.

Ingredients 1/2 cup apple juice 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon cane sugar syrup Sparking water (or Sprite)

Directions Shake apple juice, lemon juice, and sugar syrup over ice, using a cocktail shaker. Strain into glass. Fill rest of glass with sparkling water.

Ingredients Organic Agave Nectar Sparkling lime water Blackberries Lime

Directions Place one inch of organic agave nectar in glass and add sparkling limewater. Garnish with fresh blackberries and a lime wedge. Enjoy!

Mix juice and soda in pitcher. Fill glass with ice.

2 part Peach juice 1 part Soda water 1 shot Grenadine mix

Directions This is an absolute summer thirst quencher with all the goodness of fruits and vegetables. The best part is, juices are separated into layers. It keeps you guessing what’s coming next. Cheers!
