The hotel was built after being influenced by the Native American tribes, Art Deco, Middle Eastern and Arts and Crafts movements which is reflected throughout. Danielle was especially taken aback by the designs on the walls, detailed borders with Geometric patterns and also the tiled flooring reflecting the Native American/ Art Deco feel. Fretwork rug by kit miles

Kit found inspiration from ornamental metal cages blended with the stark qualities found in modernist grids. "I liked the idea of the viewer looking beyond into another space and the beautiful incarceration. Originally the design was intended to be for furniture and played on 3 dimensional effects on 2 dimensional surfaces. Through the very physical process of rug manufacture we found an equilibrium between this aesthetic language of "Fretwork" and the beautiful materiality of the 100% silk pile."

Kit Miles is a luxury wallpaper, textiles and interior surface design studio based in the heart of London. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2011, gaining his MA in textile design Kit went on to found his eponymous label working with prestigious interior design clients and retailers alike. The creative output of this dynamic young studio has gained international press attention from the likes of the Financial Times and Elle Décor Italia.
