DreamRooms Preview Party ReCap On Thursday, April 24 a preview party celebration marked the opening of the 2008 DreamRooms. The event was the first time to experience the nine spectacular rooms designed by some of The Merchandise Mart’s leading showrooms: C.A.I. Guests anxiously waited in line in the north lobby in anticipation to view the luxurious elements of the cutting edge design featured in each of the DreamRooms. With the overwhelming turn out of over 1,500 visitors in the opening weekend, the rooms will remain open for public viewing until July 12 and continue to be the inspiration for many.

Fine Design Recap Another whirlwind NeoCon® week has come and gone. With thousands of residential and contract designers in the building, The Design Center experienced a great deal of enthusiasm surrounding all of the Fine Design happenings. In particular, the Keynote Luncheon presented by Roger Thomas proved awe-inspiring and entertaining, with a lovely post reception hosted in the Edward Ferrell + Lewis Mittman showroom. Moreover, the Residential Seminar Tracks were educational, particularly the Bathroom Product Selection presentation hosted by James Landa, ASID, principal, Aquaworks, Chicago, IL. Now it’s time to mark your calendars for NeoCon 2009!

Roger Thomas shows off his luxurious design for the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas and how it has inspired interiors for the home.

Filsinger’s first anniversary—Save the date Please join Filsinger Chicago for cocktails, hor d’oeuvres and drawings for products certificates and giveaways. The Filsinger Chicago showroom will host its formal opening celebration party on Tuesday, September 9 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. in Suite 1870.
