ACO LightWeight Kerb has been developed in conjunction with a UK based Civil Engineering contractor and several local councils to satisfy the demands of the HSE guidelines on manual handling of kerbstones.
The ACO LightWeight Kerb is a standard 915mm long unit with a profile to match a HB2 Kerb to BS 7263 - 3, yet weighs just 16kg. This allows customers to install kerbing in compliance with HSE guidelines. Manufactured from polymer concrete, the material provides the unit with 4 times the strength of a typical cement based concrete. The ACO LightWeight Kerb is suitable for use in both new and refurbishment projects. The shape allows easy replacement of standard HB2 units and the sculpted back face ensures the unit acts integrally with the concrete backing.
