The Michigan Conference is the organizational body of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the state of Michigan. Organized in 1861, its Lansing headquarters coordinates 44 elementary schools and junior academies, four senior academies, one university (Andrews University), two youth camps (Camp Au Sable and Camp Sagola), and one camp meeting site (Cedar Lake). With over 25,000 members in about 190 churches and companies, it is part of the Lake Union Conference, one of eight such unions within the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. The mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to make disciples of all people, communicating the everlasting gospel in the context of the three angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12, leading them to accept Jesus as personal Savior and unite with His remnant Church, discipling them to serve Him as Lord and preparing them for His soon return.
