Making place starts with a vision, discovering what it is made of, how those pieces fit together, and ends with enriching life. We have an innate relationship with buildings and land. Designers serve to steward that relationship through contrast, through preservation, through a particular style, thinking beyond the site boundary, and considering its ecological function. Sometimes it is simply returning something we have borrowed back to the land. I desire to help clients create and enjoy great places. I want to share the reward of the design process. I’m dedicated to helping people realize their dreams through their interactions between the built and natural environments. My interests are preservation, adaptive reuse, new forms, and innovative materials. Sustainable buildings start with what we already have. Reuse positively addresses resource depletion, climate change, ecosystem quality, and human health thereby maintaining the connection to built environments and the land.
