More than 50 staff in our six centers work toward this single mission. We educate the public on the conditions necessary for business and communities to thrive, how business positively impacts communities, and emerging issues and creative solutions that will shape the future.

Our hiring fairs, transition summits, online resources, and partnerships with the private sector have connected more than 500,000 veterans with jobs.
We released the sixth annual Enterprising States: States Innovate study on states’ policies and practices that cultivate talent and create jobs.
In partnership with Sam’s Club, we expanded the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) to 38 states. YEA! is a national program that teaches middle and high school students how to become confident entrepreneurs.

WE HONORED CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP Our national Corporate Citizenship Awards honored businesses for their positive impacts in addressing some of society’s greatest needs across the country and around the world.
WE WENT TO 8 CITIES TO FIND OUT WHAT ENTREPRENEURS NEED We partnered with the incubator 1776 and the Chamber’s FreeEnterprise.com to report on how cities create start-up cultures. This research provides a framework for city leaders.

WE PROMOTED HIGHER STANDARDS IN EDUCATION We partnered with state and local chambers and the business community in 36 states to push for higher standards and aligned assessments in K-12 education.

WE ARE TACKLING COMMUNITY HEALTH IN 10 CITIES In partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, we created the “Business Means Health” series to highlight the essential role of business in healthy communities. Five metro chambers including Denver, Fort Worth and Tampa hosted dialogues with leaders in business, health and education.

WE EXPERIMENT WITH NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATIONS In 2015, we explored new technologies and innovations including robots, drones, digital currency and 3D manufacturing to understand their impact on the way we do business.
