My Dear Colleagues, Happy New Year ! I hope all of you had a fantastic experience and achievement in 2009 and I am sure 2010 will provide more excitement in our parking industry. For the last few years, we have faced numerous challenges with the volatility of world economic direction that have affected our business. Nevertheless with strong branding, customer oriented services and dedication among Metro Parking staff, we were able to overcome the challenges and continue expanding our businesses. As in other businesses, it is important that we continue securing profitable contracts, improve our profit margin and finally deliver the quality service that we promise to our customers. I must congratulate all of you for your willingness to improve your skills to keep up with the company 's growth and change in business environment. As a result we have been recognised by receiving several awards namely “Super Excellent Brand”, “Excellence Service Quality”, “Star Company”, “Power Brand” and “The Excellent Service award”. award and recognition Malaysia Power Brand Award Metro Parking (M) Sdn Bhd received another prestigious Award during The Asia Pacific International Brands Summit Malaysia Gala Dinner 2009 which is was the Malaysia Power Brand 2009 by Asia Entrepreneur Alliance Worldwide. Our Group Managing Director, En Halmi Jasmin received the Award on behalf of Metro Parking (M) Sdn Bhd. The Award giving ceremony and gala dinner was held on 5th October 2009 at the Grand Ballroom, Putrajaya Marriot Hotel, IOI Resort City, Putrajaya. The Malaysian Deputy Finance Minister, YB Dato' Wira Chor Chee Heung was invited as the Guest of Honor to give away the Award during the event.

CATUR BISTARI SHOOTING Recording TV program CATUR Bistari carried out starting December 5, 2009 to December 11, 2009 at the National Film Studio, Petaling Jaya. 35 staffs involved in the events. The first episode for TV CATUR Bistari began its airing on January 10, 2010 (Sunday), at 2.00 pm on TV1.

branches news and activities smart parking Majlis Pedoman On 1 October 2009, Smart Parking organised its first Staff Meeting (Pedoman) at its Head office. Almost all staff except one technician from Penang and one technician from JB attended the meeting. Mr. Ismail Mohd Yassin, the newly appointed General Manager who was officially seconded from Metro Parking delivered his presentation on company’s business plan and direction to the staff. During the event, KPI for each key staff has also been distributed as benchmark to assess staff performance. The event will be held annually in conjunction with the Group Pedoman meeting which will normally be held at the beginning of every year..
Official opening of Eastin Hotel, Penang The Hotel was officially opened to guest on 12 November 2009. Prior to the official opening day, CP Group had organized dinner on 7 November 2009 at the Ballroom in appreciation to all the contractors and vendors that has made the opening of the hotel possible. Smart Parking were also invited and was represented by General Manager, Mr. Ismail Mohd Yassin and also Head of Project, Mr. Muruganambalan. We are proud that the management of Eastin Hotel has chosen to install Skidata equipment for the Hotel’s car park. We have installed systems for 1 in and 1 out with 2 Auto Pay machines for the hotel. We hope we could build further relationship with CP Group for their next projects.
Visit to Skidata AG Headquarter in Salzburg. From 1 to 3 December 2009, General Manager, Mr. Ismail Mohd Yassin together with Sr Branch Manager , Metro Parking, Mr. Zamri Adam, visited Skidata Headquarters in Salzburg, Austria. Purpose of the visit was to present the business plan for 2010 for SPMS to Skidata AG. During the meeting on 2 December 2009, Skidata AG was represented by their Head of Sales Competence Center Car Access, Mr Thomas Paulik, also their Chief Marketing & Sales Officer Car Access, Mr. Robert Weiskopf. Several issues were discussed during the meeting and the results were positive in terms of relationship between Skidata and SPMS. We hope we can achieve all the matters that have been listed in the business plan so that we could be the trusted partner for Skidata in this Region.

Christmas is the time of the year where everyone get together and as a tradition in the Philippines where everyone of the family gathers, we at Metro Parking as a family also celebrate our Annual Gathering with fun, exchange gifts and raffle prizes. Loyalty awards were also given to Ms. Ana Manzanares and Chito Deus who served our company for 5 years and Alvin Caron and Jackie Evangelist for 10 years of dedicated service. Our major prize was a 32 inch LCD TV won by Dario Longasa This is the very first year we started the Dependent Educational Support (DES). As another means of showing we care for our employees, we provide financial support to deserving off springs of Metro Parking employees for their studies. This year’s recipients are two very brilliant kids namely Shannen Baluyot and Mikaela Sandicho. This year’s annual gathering event was organized by Operation Department led by Chair Committee Mr. Hubert Martinez and we must add it was wonderfully organised!

Annual Dinner & Dance This was held at the Jewel Box, Mount Faber on the 19 December 2009. The theme for this year is Metro Dazzle Award and staff put on their dazzling best. Indeed our staff were the shiny stars of the night where they were enjoying the games, food, photo-shootings, dancing.
Compliments This year, the company had received 5 compliments from customers that praise our staff going the extra mile for their excellent customer service at our car parks. Staff were presented with a compliment letter with $20 vouchers during the Annual Dinner & Dance 2009. (please refer to photos ) Staff Ms Chelly Ms K L Sakeena

sports club’s news “Hari Raya” Gathering ( Central Region )
Metro Parking’s Sports and Recreation Club Kuala Lumpur held their Annual General Meeting on 28 September 2009. The purpose of the AGM was to brief the club’s members on activities in 2009. The AGM also aim to elect new committee members for 2009/2010 Session. The meeting was held at the Damansara Business Centre. Senior Branch Manager ( KL ), En Zamri Adam witnessed the election of committee.
The event was held on 11 October 2009 at the DTC Multi Purpose Room. The event was graced by Group Managing Director, En Halmi Jasmin, who jwas joined by his family members. Besides him, Senior Branch Manager (KL), En Zamri Adam also attended the function. It was really an enjoyable function filled with delicious foods, karaoke session and lucky draw activities. Everyone has their memorable moment at the gathering.

“Hari Raya” Gathering (Southern Region) It was held on 15 October 2009 at Dewan Kompleks Belia Jubli Intan, Johor Bahru. The gathering was packed by approximately 300 employees and their family members from all branches of Southern Region. Group Managing Director, En Halmi Jasmin together with his family attended the function. He then officiated the event.

“Hari Kualiti ( Quality Day) SINDORA-JIMB KUANTAN BREAKING FAST It was held on 11/09/2009 (Friday) at cafĂŠ Seri Banir, Kuantan Pahang. Among all the Kuantan Staff attended the event.
Metro Parking KL and JB Branch participated in JIMB-SINDORA Quality Day held at MPC, Johor Bahru, on 10th November, 2009. The event started in the morning with presentation from various groups of companies under JIMBSINDORA. The categories that we were contesed in the event were ICC and Cempaka. Metro Parking KL sent Verdagasco Group while Metro Parking JB represented by Smart Solutions Group. We hope by next year many more groups will join the QCC Day.
