All general education requirements for the B.A. will be met with the possible exception of foreign language and physical learning requirements.

Students who complete the Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree at a North Carolina community college and meet performance-based requirements as determined by Meredith’s art, theatre, or music department’s performance standard will enter Meredith with all general education requirements for the B.A. met with the possible exception of foreign language and physical learning requirements.

Students studying psychology or sociology at a North Carolina Community College may participate in the College’s articulation agreement that provides a progression degree plan for students planning to earn a four-year degree in either field. The progression plan includes required general education and prerequisite courses that will transfer to Meredith.

Students studying at a North Carolina Community College who want to become teachers can seamlessly transfer to Meredith to complete a bachelor’s degree. The articulation agreement provides a pathway for future teachers in which the credits from the associate degree of art or associate degree of science transfer to Meredith’s teacher education program.

I WAS LOOKING FOR AN INSTITUTION THAT AFFORDED ME A CLOSE KNIT COMMUNITY WITH MY PROFESSORS AND WITH MY CLASSMATES. I WAS COMING FROM A VERY LARGE INSTITUTION AND MEREDITH OFFERED SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT MORE INTIMATE. THE ENTIRE ADMISSION PROCESS, EVERYONE WAS SUPER HELPFUL. THEY COMMUNICATED REGULARLY AND THEY JUST MADE ME FEEL SEEN.”
