PUBLIC HEALTH Pubh 311. PRINCIPLES OF EPIDEMIOLOGY II Excelling in any field requires a deep knowledge base. Epidemiology is a complex field with rigorous methodologies. This course will build on Principles of Epidemiology I to provide students with an advanced knowledge of epidemiology and epidemiologic methods. Students will learn how to diagnose and address threats to validity in epidemiologic study designs. They will learn to model complex multivariable problems using both parametric and nonparametric statistics. The methods covered will include analyses of proportions, rates, and time to failure as well as parametric models for hazard functions and proportional hazards regression. Prerequisite: Pubh 260, Pubh 261. 3 credits. Pubh 312. PRINCIPLES OF EPIDEMIOLOGY II LAB This laboratory will build on the skills that students develop in the laboratory for Principles of Epidemiology I. Emphasis will be placed on data analysis problem solving skills using statistical programming. Prerequisite: Pubh 260, Pubh 261. Corequisite Pubh 311. 1 credit.

Pubh 322. PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATICS There are now more cell phones in India than there are toilets.
