PARKING

First year resident freshmen students are not permitted to bring a vehicle to Mercyhurst College. There are twenty-seven parking lots on and off campus to accommodate parking for students, visitors and employees. All underground parking lots are restricted for use only by individuals paying for specific parking spots. Parking permit placards are issued on a term or annual basis. All students planning to bring a vehicle to campus must register their vehicle on line with the police and safety department prior to their arrival at Mercyhurst College. Upon arrival, the student must report to the police and safety department office with their vehicle, driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of vehicle insurance. After review, a parking permit placard will be issued and placed upon the vehicle being registered. Parking permit placards for student vehicles will be issued between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and college closed days. Parking permits are available for non-registered vehicles being used temporarily by students, and visitor parking passes are available for college guests at the police and safety department office twenty-four hours a day seven days a week, including holidays and college closed days.
