AND THEN THERE WERE TWO • When Josh Pastner hit the 20-win plateau in 2011-12, he became the fourth head coach in Tigers hoops history to post 20-win campaigns in each of his first three years at the helm, joining

Wayne Yates (1975-77), Larry Finch (1987-89) and John Calipari (2001-03) in that group. • Well, that list is now trimmed to only two head coaches to have 20-win seasons in each of his first four years, and Pastner became one of those two after the Tigers’ 89-76 victory at Southern Miss Feb. 9. • Pastner and Calipari are the only two head coaches in Memphis basketball history to record 20 wins in each of his first four seasons: Head Coach/1st 4 Years Josh Pastner/2010-13 John Calipari/2001-04

MARCH IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT • The month of March is what all college basketball teams play for, so squads want to be playing their best at that time. • The Tigers have had a long history of success in March, and they hope to continue that this year. • Since 1999-2000, Memphis has an impressive 76-26 record (.745 winning percentage) when playing in March. The Tigers’ record is even better in March since 2004-05, as they are 57-15 (.792 winning percentage). • The Tigers are 18-5 (.783 winning percentage) in March under Josh Pastner. JACKSON JOINS TIGERS ELITE GROUP • In the Jan. 30 win over East Carolina, Joe Jackson went over 1,000 points for his career with a career-high 26 points. • In the Feb. 13 victory over UCF, the 6-foot-1 guard dished out a career-best 10 assists, and in doing so, went over 350 dimes for his career. • Jackson now has 1,183 points and 403 assists for his career.
