SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES • Michigan enters EA Sports Maui Invitational Championship Round play with a 3-0 record. • The Wolverines opened the 2011-12 season with wins over Ferris State 59-33 on Nov. 11, Towson 64-47 on Nov. 14 and Western Illinois 59-55 on Nov. 17. • Michigan is ranked No. 17 in both national polls that were released Nov. 14. • Sophomore Tim Hardaway Jr. leads the Michigan offense with a 14.3 average. Evan Smotrycz and Trey Burke each average 10.0 ppg. • Jordan Morgan is the team’s leading rebounder at 5.3 rpg, while Stu Douglass tops the squad with 11 assists. • Head coach John Beilein is in his fifth season at Michigan. His record as the Wolverines mentor is 70-67. Beilein has previous NCAA Division 1 coaching stints at Canisius, Richmond and West Virginia.

• The Tigers have an overall record of 7-6 in the Maui Invitational (see all-time Maui Invitational results below). • Memphis’ previous trips to Maui came in 1988, 1992, 1999 and 2006. • The Tigers’ best finishes in the Maui Invitational were third-place showings in 1992 and 2006. • Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway was named the Maui Invitational co-MVP in 1992. • Memphis’ all-time Maui Invitational results:

TIGERS IN MAUI INVITATIONAL • Memphis begins play in the Championship Round of the 2011 EA Sports Maui Invitational on Monday, Nov. 21 versus Michigan. Game time is 2 p.m. (CT). • The Tigers defeated Belmont 97-81 in an opening game of the EA Sports Maui Invitational Nov. 15 at FedExForum.

TIGERS ON THE RADIO All Memphis basketball games are broadcast on the Tigers’ network flagship station, WREC 600AM. Dave Woloshin calls the playby-play, while Matt Dillon serves as the color analyst. Dillon and Forrest Goodman (in studio) host the pre- and postgame shows. WREC 600AM also broadcasts Josh Pastner’s weekly radio show, which is held at the Lynchburg Legends Bar & Grill located in the East Memphis DoubleTree Inn. Forrest Goodman serves as host of the weekly call-in show. The first Pastner radio weekly call-in show is scheduled for Nov. 29.

JOSH PASTNER TELEVISION SHOW Head coach Josh Pastner’s weekly television coach’s show is televised every Sunday night at 10 p.m. (CT) during the season by FOX 13/WHBQ-TV in Memphis. The show begins in early December. Dave Woloshin and Matt Stark serve as the show’s co-hosts.
