De acordo com o mais recente ranking da Associação Internacional de Congressos e Convenções (do inglês: International Congress and Convention Association - Icca), a capital catarinense ocupa a quarta posição entre os destinos nacionais que mais receberam eventos internacionais em 2013. De 2008 até fevereiro de 2015, Florianópolis recebeu mais de 250 mil pessoas em eventos e congressos apoiados pelo Florianópolis Convention e Visitors Bureau. A cidade conta com mais de 18 mil leitos, além de oferecer uma infraestrutura turística completa. Principal centro de convenções do destino, o Centro de Convenções de Florianópolis – CentroSul é responsável por absorver a grande demanda de eventos que acontecem na cidade e nos arredores. According to the latest ranking of the International Congress and Convention Association - ICCA, the capital of Santa Catarina state is fourth among domestic destinations that hosted international events in 2013. Brusque Brusque é também conhecida como “A Capital da Pronta Entrega”, pelo número de malharias que dispõe. É considerada também o “Berço da Fiação Catarinense”. Realizada em junho, envolve amantes dos veículos off-road de vários segmentos. E não se pode negar o tradicionalismo da Festa Nacional do Marreco, que em 2015 comemora seu 30º Aniversário – Bodas de Pérola. A Fenarreco acontece em outubro e já está inserida, há muitos anos, no calendário das Festas de Outubro de Santa Catarina. Atrai público de todo o país, e caracteriza-se pela oferta do chopp, gastronomia, trajes, músicas e danças típicas alemãs para envolver os visitantes.
Itajaí Itajaí é uma cidade portuária (seu porto é considerado o segundo maior do país em movimentação de cargas), possui grande centro pesqueiro e é o maior exportador de produtos congelados do Brasil. O destino possui o único píer turístico alfandegado para embarque e desembarque de passageiros no sul do país e a chegada de transatlânticos é sempre um espetáculo para a população, que observa, admirada, o gigante flutuante. Possui praias badalados ou tranqüilas, uma deliciosa comida típica a base de frutos do mar e eventos consagrados, como a marejada e o festival de música. O rafting do rio Itajaí-Açu e seus afluentes, no Alto Vale do Itajaí, na região turística do Vale Europeu, é considerado um dos melhores do Brasil. O trecho básico possui 7,5 km, intercalando corredeiras nervosas, trechos calmos, cachoeiras e paisagens espetaculares. Existem percursos leves para iniciantes e outros radicais, que devem ser feitos somente por veteranos no esporte. Os 350 metros de altitude podem ser vencidos por diferentes trilhas. No topo, o mirante do Cânion do Rio Itajaí-Açu proporciona uma bela vista da Cachoeira Santa Luzia, que possui 100 metros de altura e vários lances de quedas-d’água, algumas delas favoráveis ao rapel e ao cascading. O destino encanta os turistas, proporcionando atividades como trekking, rapel e outros esportes radicais. No Balneário Camboriú, o destaque fica para o parque Unipraias. O local oferece percurso de arvorismo com 130 metros, culminando em uma tirolesa de 32 metros de extensão e 15 metros de altura. Cavalgue e entre em contato com o silêncio e tradição de Lages Em Santa Catarina há diversas opções de cavalgadas tanto no litoral quanto no interior. Foi na Serra Catarinense que, na década de 80, surgiram os primeiros hotéis-fazenda brasileiros, abrindo caminho para o desenvolvimento do turismo rural em todo o país.
