GERMANY’S MOST CREATIVE TV LOCATION

The capital region tops the list of Germany‘s leading locations for film and TV production! More than 3,300 companies create a turnover of over €2.3 billion here each year. Highly specialized studios offer ideal conditions for large-scale series production from infotainment all the way to major variety shows. GERMAN SERIES PRODUCTIONS One-third of all German series productions originate in the capital region, including Germany‘s first daily soap GUTE ZEITEN, SCHLECHTE ZEITEN (RTL) and CIRCUS HALLIGALLI (ProSieben), the brand-new show featuring Joko and Klaas. SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMS AND TALK SHOWS The region has produced successful shows like THE VOICE OF GERMANY (Sat.1/ProSieben), action series like EIN STARKES TEAM, but also outstanding documentaries like the Grimme Prize-win ning 20xBRANDENBURG, a major multimedia TV event funded by the Medienboard (rbb). Berlin is also the undisputed capital of talk shows with such giants as GÜNTHER JAUCH (ARD), ANNE WILL (ARD) and MAYBRIT ILLNER (ZDF) all working from here. TRANSMEDIAL FORMATS Berlin-Brandenburg is also home to the next-generation television of tomorrow. For example, the transmedia crime show TV format DINA FOXX (ZDF) recently made the headlines as did the cross-media event FAREWELL COMRADES! (Arte). In Berlin, tape.tv continues to set the standard for the music television of the future. Started in summer 2013 the Swiss social TV channel joiz.tv broadcasts from the German capital. With its trigger.tv and eNtR berlin, UFA has created two YouTube channels that feature original content. And, for the first time, ProSiebenSat1 produced MISSION HOUSEMEN, a sitcom designed especially for the Internet.
