Helga Fanderl studied at the Stadeschule Frankfurt and at Cooper Union, New York. Her films have screened at venues including the the Deutches FIlmmuseum (Frankfurt), Kino Arsenal (Berlin), the Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), three previous editions of Media City, and were the subject of a major retrospective in the “Views from the Avant-Garde” program at the 2010 New York Film Festival. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt and the Louvre (Paris).
