Richard Jacob, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Business Department Dr. Jacob has recently been appointed to the position of Volunteer Executive Chairman of the Coaches vs. Cancer Executive Council of Western New York. Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers coaches from all sports, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. He was appointed in August 2012. $54,000 Univera Healthcare Grant Partnering with Bethel Head Start, Inc. and Univera Healthcare, Dr. Jacob and colleague Michelle Cefaratti are co-authors of a pre-school physical activity curriculum called Healthy Child. As part of a three-year project, they will participate in the teacher training, development, and implementation of the curriculum in ten local Head Start child care centers.
