In Memory of Dad: The Bud Hurst Foundation A collection of over 50 cars are being auctioned in honor of Patrick Hurst’s father, Bud Hurst, to help kick off “The Bud Hurst Foundation”. The cars are from Patrick’s large collection which he started to memorialize his father’s dream of collecting one of every make and model car from 1955 to 1972, with some pre-war and modern exceptions. The collection is intended to preserve the history of the golden era of the American car with fully functioning and well maintained cars and trucks. In keeping with Bud Hurst’s compassion for cars and for helping individuals in need, the Hurst collection has always been available to help charities and their fundraising efforts. Although the charities vary, the majorities have focused on helping individuals with disabilities increase the quality of their lives and live as independently as possible. They have even set out to build classic and muscle cars for people in wheelchairs and with other disabilities. Utilizing the car collection to help charities fundraise grew into selling a group of the cars to help fund the startup of The Bud Hurst Foundation. The Foundation is committed to helping elderly in need, intellectually, developmentally and physically disabled individuals and medically fragile children maximize their independence and the quality of their lives. Bud Hurst loved a wide variety of cars and pickups so we have included a variety of cars to be auctioned. Please contact Tina Menconi at

1970 Chevrolet Malibu 454 CI, Automatic

Chevrolet’s classic big block Chevelle SS serves as the inspiration for this Resto Modded 1970 Malibu coupe, which draws heavily on that great template. The heart of the formula is the car’s 454 CI big block V-8, which breathes through a cowl induction hood and drives through a column-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission. White Sport stripes and SS badging decorate the car’s Mulsanne Blue paint, which is complemented with chromed American Torque Thrust wheels and, inside, a clean matching Blue bench seat interior with a custom radio. Air conditioning, power steering and power brakes add further value to this factory-faithful Chevelle Resto Mod.
