A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Talladegans and Friends of ‘Dega, Since the laying of the mortar and bricks by the Founding Fathers, Talladega College has always had a powerful legacy. It has an outstanding tradition of producing college presidents, doctors, lawyers, judges, professors, teachers, nurses, artists, authors, musicians, practitioners, scientists, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists. This powerful legacy - dating back to 1867 - means just as much today as it did to the first students who walked through the hallowed halls of your alma mater. It is indeed a powerful legacy that deserves to be passed on to the next generation of students who will become leaders in their communities, workplaces and even in the home. We invite you to return on October 31- November 2, 2014 as we celebrate the founding of Talladega College and see for yourself the continuing strides of a legacy passed down for 147 years. You are asked to lend your support for this - the ‘bright, shining star’ - Talladega College. Your own powerful legacy can be created by being a catalyst through sending students to attend Talladega College, encouraging them to finish the course and giving back with your financial support for various projects and events on campus. Talladega College needs you now, even possibly more than when you attended this institution. As you consider all that Talladega College has given you, we ask you to pause from your busy life and join us during the Founders’ Celebration to remember “A Powerful Legacy” known as Talladega College!
