Dr. Bob Simmons 1927-2008 Dr. Bob Simmons, MC alumnus, former MC trustee, and Professor Emeritus at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS), died October 3, 2008. In addition to serving as a professor of missions at NOBTS, Dr. Simmons pastored several churches in MisDr. Bob Simmons sissippi and served on the board of the Mississippi Baptist Convention. He and his wife, Mary ’51, served as missionaries in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Germany, and Rome.
