I was working as an appliance installer and had an accident which prevented me from continuing. I am on a fixed income and this scholarship will help me greatly in getting needed tools. I hope to repair and refinish old trucks that would otherwise just be forgotten or junked. It’s my hobby that I’d like to turn into my career, and now I will have the tools to do better work. I graduated from high school in the late 70’s, and never had the time or money to go to college. I have been waiting to take classes at MCC for 40 years, and now I can finally pursue my dream.
