Fall Registration Open for Organic Ag Program at BCC
T
he Organic Agriculture program at Bristol Community College in Fall River is accepting registration for the fall semester. Courses are designed for gardeners, farmers, landscapers, community organizations, and concerned citizens. Students can earn a certificate in Organic Agriculture or take just specific courses of interest. Fall course offerings include Organic Farming Practices, Science and Care of Plants, and Food, Farming, and Famine. Courses begin September 6. A new evening course in Organic Pest and Disease Control will begin on September 12 and offers a practical survey of principles and practices for effective management of pests and diseases in Southeast Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The new course is available as a one-credit college accredited course, or as a noncredit course through the Center for Workforce and Community Education.
