with reputable vendor sites that have good online reputations. #4: Keep a record of your purchase details – Always print the details of the time, date, receipt number, and order confirmation after purchasing an item online. #5: Look for your CVV code – A reputable site will request the three-digit CVV (Card Verification Value) code on the back of your credit card whenever you make an online purchase (American Express uses a four-digit code on the front of the card).
