Bench-Scale: Bioprocess Development, Optimization, & Derisking MBI’s team collaborates with you, accelerating your technology to commercial readiness. Our highly experienced team has a long history of developing robust, scalable bioprocesses and fermentations. In the last five years alone, we have successfully scaled over 20 different technologies from the lab to pilot-scale—with a 100% success rate.

Pilot Plant Scale-Up MBI’s pilot plant serves as your very own bioprocessing and scale-up facility, replacing the need for you to build your own. Application Testing & Product Development Using our 3,800L pilot plant, MBI’s team has the ability to manufacture your product in volumes needed to support pre-commercial process and product development, application testing, and routine pilot-scale production. Our clients sometimes require multiple batches for quality assurance and product validation purposes. In addition to prodividing these services, we are often an invaluable resource for companies seeking venture capital funding and requiring third-party validation of their process technology and product performance.

Scale-Up Beyond MBI: Tech Transfer With a 100% technology transfer success rate, you can count on us to successfully transfer your process directly to either your manufacturing team or production partner. Our three-level pilot facility is equipped with modern equipment, instrumentation, and computer-based control systems. Our facility is plug-and-play: a fiveton capacity ceiling crane can bring in equipment necessary to accelerating your technology.
